I'm using OEM cloud control 12.1c. I have a java process which is instrumented to collect some metrics in my application. One of the jmx attributes is a Map (java.util.Map).
Now, I want to create a OEM plugin which collects this Map periodically. I tried using jmxcli utility to generate the target metadata, but the tool asks me to enter the keys of the map. The keys are dynamically generated, so these cant be entered while creating the target metadata.
Did any of you face this problem? How do I solve this? I dont want to hardcode the keys, need the complete Map to be displayed in my plugin home page.
Here is a snippet from the console when I selected the Map:
JavaBean (of type Map) is : TypeDistributionMap
0: empty
1: ** User defined Name Values **
Select one or more items as comma separated indices: 1
*** Getting values for User Defined properties
Looping through all user defined Keys. Enter '..' to exit loop.
Enter the key: [This key is dynamic, what should I enter here?]
Enter the DATATYPE of the value: [java.lang.String]
Instead of using a HashMap (or a Map), it would be better to return TabularData, it is a JMX best practice (and I guess the JMX fetchlet doesn't support Maps). I was able to generate the metadata using jmxcli utility when I used TabularData.

I am facing issues in performing certain actions based on the value in the excel file cell data.
Actions like if value is "NORMAL" then click Container type = Normal (radio button)
Similarly the Unit Container Value
Following is my code:
I am getting this error while performing action .WebElement("Container_Type_Normal").Click
Your error is because you can't start a line with . unless your within a with - and i can't see a with in your function. (i also don't recommend using a with as the can cause needless confusion)
The .webelement object is a catch-all type of object that is the child of other web objects or .page. You need this to be a full and valid path to the object, by this i mean start with browser().page().
You have a couple of options:
You can either make this a full path to your object based on the object repository:
Browser("<<OR Browser name>>").Page("<<OR Page name>>").WebElement("<<Your webelement name>>".click
For this, look at your OR and insert your names.
Or, option 2, you can use descriptive programming:
Browser("CreationTime:=0").Page("index:=0").WebElement("text:=" & fieldValue,"index:=0").click
That will take the browser that was created first (Creation time 0), the only page it has and the first (index 0) web element that contains your text (text is field value).
I'm assuming that you only have one browser, and that the first element that contains the text you want is what you want to click. You may need to add more layers too this or
A good approach is to mirror what is OR or use the object spy to ensure these properties are correct.
I'd like to create a new stub file "test.mp3" for instance, and add a Window Property to it ( System.Author for instance).
the solution must be usable for several file extension as text, picture, videos, etc...
If I just create a file and use IShellItem2::GetPropertyStore I get a HRESULT fail for invalid Arguments.
Use IShellItem2::GetPropertyStore on a real music file I can read and write Its properties just fine.
Please test your suggestions first.
Property Stores typically access and store data within the file itself. In your case of a mp3 file, it would be attempting to read and write the ID3 tags. Also, Property Stores are not stored in a database and cannot be arbitrarily added to files that don't support it.
You'll most likely need to implement your own property handlers to do what it appears you're trying to accomplish. For types that already have handlers, you'll have to replace the system handlers with your own.
The most likely reason your mp3 test is failing is that you have an empty file with no data and no valid ID3 tags.
I would like to know if it is possible to disable the validation for a subset of modelelements which are specified in the metamodel.
The problem is that I'm getting some validation-errors from the Xtexteditor while writting my dsl-file. So my idea is to disable the validation for exactly this modelelement.
I try to build a real simple textual notation and want to serialize the (valid) model while saving the file. The saved model is modified during the saving process, so it is
valid at the end.

Alex
Lets beginn with the grammer:
I'am working on an imported metamodel (UML2):
import "http://www.eclipse.org/uml2/4.0.0/UML"
Then I create all the necessary parserules to define a classdiagram. In my case the problem appears
in the parserrule for associations between classes:
AssociationClass_Impl returns AssociationClass:
{AssociationClass} 'assoc' name=ID'{'
(ownedAttribute+=Property_Impl)*
'}';
And of course the parserrule for properties:
Property_Impl returns Property:
name=ID ':' type=[Type|QualifiedName]
(association=[AssociationClass|QualifiedName])?
;
Now some words to the problem itself. While editing the xtext-file in the xtexteditor of the runtime eclipse, the build model is validated. The problem is here that the metamodel itself has several constraints for an AssociationClass (screenshot not possible yet ):
Multiple markers at this line
- The feature 'memberEnd' of 'org.eclipse.uml2.uml.internal.impl.AssociationClassImpl#142edebe{platform:/resource/aaa/test.mydsl#//Has}'
with 0 values must have at least 2 values
- The feature 'relatedElement' of 'org.eclipse.uml2.uml.internal.impl.AssociationClassImpl#142edebe{platform:/resource/aaa/test.mydsl#//Has}'
with 0 values must have at least 1 values
- The feature 'endType' of 'org.eclipse.uml2.uml.internal.impl.AssociationClassImpl#142edebe{platform:/resource/aaa/test.mydsl#//Has}'
with 0 values must have at least 1 values
- An association has to have min. two ownedends.
And now I wanted to know if it is possible to disable the validation for exactly this modelelement. So I can hide the errorinformation from the user. Because I want to serialize the created xtextmodel in the next step and will do some modeltransformations.
Seems like UML registers this validator in the global singleton registry. So you basically need to avoid using the registry. You can do that by binding a different element in your runtime modul:
public EValidator.Registry bindEValidatorRegistry() {
// return an empty one as opposed to EValidator.Registry.INSTANCE
return new org.eclipse.emf.ecore.impl.ValidationDelegateRegistryImpl();
}
I am trying to select a unique identifiers for accounts from Active Directory. I found that "objectguid" attribute do identify a user uniquely, but my problem is that I don't know how to convert the retrieved value into a readable format. And then be able to select a user back using this value.
I am using spring ldap libraries, right now the "objectguid" return a char[] (15 element)
So, Does any one knows any thing that can help?
(Note, I can't use SAM Name attribute)
Thanks,
See here. It appears there are two string formats: XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX, which you can get via new BigInteger(0, (byte[])attr.get()).toString(16), and XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX, which is the same thing plus punctuation.
I just created a GUI using guide in MATLAB for a small project I'm working on. I have amongst other things two text fields for from and to dates. Now I'd like to get rid of them and use a Java date select tool. Of course this is not possible using guide so I need to add them manually.
I've managed to get them to show up by putting this code into my Opening_Fcn,
uicomponent(handles, 'style','com.jidesoft.combobox.DateChooserPanel','tag','til2');
using UICOMPONENT.
But even though it shows up I can't access the date select's attributes, for example
get(handles.til2)
returns
??? Reference to non-existent field 'til2'.
How can I fix this?
Unless you edit the saved GUI figure, the basic handles structure will not include your new component by default.
One way to access you component is to store the handle via guidata, by adding the following to your opening function:
handles.til2 = uicomponent(handles, 'style','com.jidesoft.combobox.DateChooserPanel','tag','til2');
guidata(hObject,handles)
Functions that need to access the handle need the line
handles = guidata(hObject)
to return the full handles structure that includes the filed til2
