Playframework reload not working Mac OSX - macos

Since I installed the last Mac OS update (Mac OS X 10.8.3), auto reloading stopped working in Play 2.1.0. When I change a file and save it, the file is compiled (when running with ~run) but when I hit reload on my web browser (already tried with Chrome and Safari) Play Framework don't reload the page. I already tried clean, clean all, reboot my Mac, but nothing resolved the problem.
Do you have any solution for this?
Thank you,
Filipe

I have the same problem with play 2.1.0 and I think it has to do with Jnotify

Downloading Selenium Chrome Webdriver not working macos

I'm using selenium with python. I'm pretty sure my browser updated when I restarted my computer. When I ran my code it gave me an error saying the driver was not up to date with the browser. I went here to download the most recent version. I am using MacOS BTW. When I launched the executable it just gets stuck on "ChromeDriver was started successfully."
I would launch the executable and leave it there for 10 minutes and it would just get stuck on this. How can I fix this?
You'll have to download the same version of the driver as your chrome version.
To check your chrome version:
Click on the 3 dots in the top right corner.
Hover over the help tab and click on About Google Chrome.
You will be able to see your chrome version. Since my chrome version is 88, I would have to download driver version 88.
If you just updated chrome, your version might be 89.
I used to just run the executable but I guess that doesn't work? So according to this post you have to move it manually to the usr/local/bin folder. Going there I deleted the old chromedriver and replaced it with the new one.

XCode alert says UPDATING_LOCKED_* on launch

This is on OS X Yosemite. It appears when I try launching Xcode.
There are no updates shown in the App Store and there are no active downloading updates shown, either. Not exactly the pinnacle of Apple's great user experiences.
I hope I don't have to do a clean install…
This happened to me during the installation of iTunes 12.2.1 (1220C173).
I restarted my computer and ended the update, then Xcode opened properly.
Happened to me as well. Restarting the computer fixed it.
Restart fixed mine too - after restarting, it asked me if I wanted to install some required components, and once that was done it worked fine.
Opening Xcode from the App Store fixed this issue for me.
Looking at the screenshot it seems a weird error. I don't think there will be a easy solution for this error. You have to go through the hard way.
Update/Install xcode again. If it didn't then
Update iTunes and launch/download Xcode again. If it didn't then
Update your Mac OS and try the above
P.S: I usually download xcode from here rather than from Appstore( requires Apple ID to login) https://developer.apple.com/downloads/
In my case I attempted to download Xcode 6.4 from the AppStore and got this same message AND the AppStore progress indicator was stuck; I couldn't pause the download because the button was grayed out. I rebooted and restarted the download a few times to no avail. But then I decided to wait and let the thing work itself out, and it did. Aparently there is a bug in the AppStore download for Xcode 6.4 that DOES download it (and it took forever in my slow connection) but does not show a progress bar. When I opened the Activity Monitor's Network tab, there it was!

Can't launch Firefox Developer Edition OS X 10.10.2

Tried to launch Firefox Developer Edition installed from firefox-38.0a2.en-US.mac.dmg. But with no success:
Any ideas?
UPDATE:
I managed to launch it with /Applications/FirefoxDeveloperEdition.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox --ProfileManager but it still repeats the issue while be launched by clicking on app icon.
The best solution is to try re-downloading it because the file is "damaged", so that's what you have to try to do, if not, try downloading it off another website.

Installing vlc web plugin for chrome on mac

I want to install the vlc web plugin for chrome on my mac (Mountain Lion) . I could succesfully do it on Windows by just selecting web plugin at the time of vlc installation. However, on a mac I think the plugin comes as a seperate package. Can someone please tell me how to do it as I have failed after several tries
Until the stable version is released, you can install a recent nightly webplugin from http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/macosx-intel/?C=N;O=A.
It may have bugs, but it works for the few instances I've used it.
There is no compatible VLC browser plugin available on the Mac at this point. We re-wrote it over the cause of the last year and will re-release an entirely new version this spring along with VLC 2.2 for desktop platforms.
This currently works. Here is a step by step guide:
In your browser go to http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/macosx-intel/
and download the latest VLC-webplugin-*.dmg.
Today the latest file appears to be this VLC-webplugin-20150922-0538.dmg
Open the .dmg file (double click, and a popup window will appear), drag the VLC Plugin.plugin to the Internet Plugins shortcut; This location is really /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/
In the Chrome address bar type chrome://flags/#enable-npapi and press Enter/Return.
You will see a list of settings, with a blue link to disable or enable.
Click 'Enable', under 'Enable NPAPI Mac, Windows', (this Enables NPAPI Mac, Windows. It enables the use of NPAPI plugins.)
Restart Chrome
In the Chrome address bar type chrome://plugins/ and press Enter/Return
You should now see 'VLC Web Plugin - Version: 2.2.2'

Upload form does not work in Firefox 3 with Mac OS X?

Today, I ran into this weird problem with a user using Mac OS X. This user always had a failed upload. The form uses a regular "input type=file". The user could upload using any browser except Firefox 3 on his Mac. Only this particular user was seeing this error.
Obviously, the problem is only with this one particular user.
User corrected this weird problem by recreating their FireFox profile.
How to manage FireFox profiles
I imagine a re-install of FireFox would have corrected the problem as well.
I imagine a re-install of FireFox would have corrected the problem as well.
Profile related problems cannot usually be solved by re-installing Firefox since reinstalling (or upgrading) would re-use the same "damaged" profile.
