I'm loading initial test data for my models in Play 2.1.
I would like to access the String property "question" of Question Model.
Here is my initial-data.yml file:
- &q1 !!models.Question
id: 001
question: Sample question?
- &mem1 !!models.Member
id: 001
memberName: Test
!!models.SecurityQuestion
member: *mem1
question: *q1.question
answer: sample answer
But all I get is the following error:
Test models.ModelsTest.fullTest failed: while scanning an alias; expected alphabetic or numeric character, but found .
How do I access the properties of an alias?
What about this:
questions:
- !!models.Question
id: 001
question: Sample question?
members:
- !!models.Member
id: 001
memberName: Test
security:
!!models.SecurityQuestion
member: !!models.Member
id: 001
question: !!models.Question
id: 001
answer: sample answer

My goal is to have a user with a given uid. I try to have a simple user created with the very basic state:
Add Student:
user.present:
- name: Student
- uid: 333123123123
- allow_uid_change: True
333123123123 is just some dummy value. I'd like something more meanigful later, but this is what I use for testing.
This creates the user perfectly fine, but with generated uid:
ID: Add Student
Function: user.present
Name: Student
Result: True
Comment: New user Student created

So it IS being considered, checked and verified - but not working while creating the user. The syntax seems to be confirmed. Why is it not getting applied upon creating the user?
It is possible to change a user's SID, but it requires unsupported registry hacking. Creating a new user with a specific SID would be even harder. Salt won't do that.
If you need to know the SID of a Windows user, you have to create it first and then query it. If you need it in a following state in the same run, then you can use slots.
I have a YAML file with this data:
TEST:
1: 10
2: 15
and I added new data, and I want to make data of this attribute with the same data of TEST attribute. EX
TEST2:
1: data of the first element of TEST
Is there any solution ?
The solution (after searches):
TEST:
1: &first_test 10
2: 15
TEST2:
1: *first_test
When I review the cryptogen(a fabric command) config file . I saw there symbol.
Profiles:
SampleInsecureSolo:
Orderer:
<<: *OrdererDefaults ## what is the `<<`
Organizations:
- *ExampleCom ## what is the `*`
Consortiums:
SampleConsortium:
Organizations:
- *Org1ExampleCom
- *Org2ExampleCom
Above there a two symbol << and *.
Application: &ApplicationDefaults # what is the `&` mean
Organizations:
As you can see there is another symbol &.
I don't know what are there mean. I didn't get any information even by reviewing the source code (fabric/common/configtx/tool/configtxgen/main.go)
Well, those are elements of the YAML file format, which is used here to provide a configuration file for configtxgen. The "&" sign mean anchor and "*" reference to the anchor, this is basically used to avoid duplication, for example:
person: &person
name: "John Doe"
employee: &employee
<< : *person
salary : 5000
will reuse fields of person and has similar meaning as:
employee: &employee
name : "John Doe"
salary : 5000
another example is simply reusing value:
key1: &key some very common value
key2: *key
equivalent to:
key1: some very common value
key2: some very common value
Since abric/common/configtx/tool/configtxgen/main.go uses of the shelf YAML parser you won't find any reference to these symbols in configtxgen related code. I would suggest to read a bit more about YAML file format.
in yaml if data is like
user: &userId '123'
username: *userId
equivalent yml is
user: '123'
username: '123'
or
equivalent json will is
{
"user": "123",
"username": "123"
}
so it basically allows to reuse data, you can also try with array instead of single value like 123
try converting below yml to json using any yml to json online converter
users: &users
k1: v1
k2: v2
usernames: *users

Swagger: How to have a property reference a model in OpenAPI 2.0 (i.e. nest the models)?

Closed 2 years ago.
I created a definition called Product and another called Text (see code).
On parameters of paths I can not use the type Text created in definitions. On the definition Product I have a property called message and I want that property to be the type Text too.
(...)
paths:
/products:
get:
summary: Product Types
description: |
Description text
parameters:
- name: latitude
in: query
description: Latitude component of location.
required: true
### The type Text was not found here
type: Text ### The type Text was not found here
(...)
definitions:
Product:
properties:
message:
### The type Text was not found here
type: Text ### Compilation Error in this line ####
name:
type: string
description: Data description.
Text:
properties:
code:
type: string
But this error occurs:
Swagger Error:
Data does not match any schemas from 'anyOf'.
How can I reference the type Text on the type Product?
Please use $ref instead. Here is an example
type: object
required:
- name
properties:
name:
type: string
address:
$ref: '#/definitions/Address'
age:
type: integer
format: int32
minimum: 0

I am pulling recent commits from github and trying to parse it using ruby. I know that I can parse it manually but I wanted to see if there was some package that could turn this into a hash or another data structure.

This is YAML http://ruby-doc.org/core/classes/YAML.html. You can do something like obj = YAML::load yaml_string (and a require 'yaml' at the top of your file, its in the standard libs), and then access it like a nested hash.
YAML is basically used in the ruby world the way people use XML in the java/c# worlds.
Looks like YAML to me. There are parsers for a lot of languages. For example, with the YAML library included with Ruby:

This format is YAML, but you can get the same information in XML or JSON, see General API Information. I'm sure there are libraries to parse those formats in Ruby.
Although this isn't exactly what you're looking for, here's some more info on pulling commits. http://develop.github.com/p/commits.html. Otherwise, I think you may just need to manually parse it.
