has anyone used this before in .Net? The documentation on how to implement this is shockingly poor.
I can connect to sage and see a card payment screen but not using an iFrame?
If I was using the asp.net integration kit for example...which page would I put the iFrame on?
Anyone done this before?
The documentation includes the appendices for the protocols - search for something like "sagepay direct integration guidelines pdf"
http://www.sagepay.co.uk/file/1166/download-document/DIRECTProtocolandIntegrationGuidelinesV3%200%20%281%29.pdf
The appendices list the transactions you'll need to handle.

I wish to implement form analytics in Decibel Insight, a heatmapping and browser replay tool.
I built the following test page:
https://rocketmaps.co.uk/decibel-insight-test-page-1/
Please note the markup that has been added.
In terms of the example test page, from memory, I think the form ID having spaces could potentially be an issue - although it's a while since I've dug into the form tracking! You can also typically dig into the data being sent back via web sockets in the browser console.
There's some useful documentation here on form tagging for Decibel.
I would like some advice and a little help.
A recent project I have been working one had its version of SagePay upgrade to use the version 3 protocol. The side of effects of this meant that users are no longer able to edit their billing address details. The previous protocol v2.23 did allow this in low profile mode and in normal mode.
Further more from what I have understood in the new protocol, iFrames are no longer being supported.
I have read the documentation which suggests downloading the custom templates (Card_Details.xslt and Card_Details_Low.xslt), customising them and sending over to SagePay in order to add these to the system. But I am unable to find any instructions on how to achieve this.
How I allow the customer to have the ability to change the billing address?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Change the template you are using (in My Sage Pay) to Default. That should set things back to how they were.
FYI - iframe integration is still supported in v3.00
Can I use spring liferay for mobile web development?
This is very basic question but I tried on google but I can't find any tutorial on this. Can anyone suggest anything on this.
Yes you can use it I think, since Spring is a server side java framework and for mobile web-development I don't think you need to do anything special apart from customizing the look-and-feel of the page which can be done through themes in liferay.
Starting from Liferay 6.1 you can even define Mobile Device Rules.
For a quick demo of this you can go to Liferay site, and try to change the window size of the browser and then see how the page changes. Even you can try to view this site in a mobile phone.
Hope this helps.
My company has multiple vendors that all have their own websites. I am creating a website that acts as a dashboard where customers can access all of the vendor's sites. I wanted to know what is the best option for doing this?
Here's what I have so far:
Iframe
Can bring in the entire website
Seems secure enough (not sure if I'm missing any information on security issues for this)
Users can interact with the vendor's website through our site
Our website cannot fully interact with the vendor's website (Also may be missing info here)
Pulling in the content
Can bring in the entire website
Not very secure from what I hear (Some websites actually say that pulling another website in is a voilation of security and will alert the user of this or something similar...
Users can interact with their website through our site
Our website can fully interact with the vendor's website
Anyone have any other options...?
What are some of the downsides to bringing in a site with an iframe and is this really our only option for doing something like this?
Optimally, we would like to pull in their site to ours without using an iframe- What options do we have on this level? Is there anything better than an iframe?
Please add in as much information as you can about iframes, pulling content, security, and website interactions like this. Anything to add in is appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt
As far as "pulling content" is concerned I wouldn't advise it as it can break. All it takes is a simple HTML change on their end and your bot will break. Also, it's more work than you think to do this for one site, let alone the many that you speak of. However, there are 3rd party apps that can do this for you if you have the budget.
You could use an iframe/frames, however, many sites might try to bust out of them and it can ruin the user experience of the site within the frame.
My advice is to use the following HTML for each link in your dashboard.
Vendor Site Link
If you can have the sites that you are embedding add some client-side script, then you could use easyXSS. It allows for easy transferring of data, and also calling javascript methods across the domain boundry.
I would recommend iFrames. Whilst not the most glamorous of elements, many payment service providers use iFrames for the Verified by Visa/Mastercard Secure Code integration.
I have a problem that I feel is best implimented in a stand alone windows application, but needs to pass data to a web page that is already open.
Is it possible to pass the data directly to the web page?
If so, what is the best way to go about it?
(Its my first question, so go easy on me!)
This is not going to be an easy problem to solve, but I think it's possible by hosting the web-page in a browser embedded in a .NET application. This Code-Project article might help
Also this article talks a bit about accessing the DOM through a C# application.
Have you got any requirements on language? And can you add a bit more detail about exactly what you're trying to achieve?
EDIT 1: Watij is a web-application testing framework for Java. You can use it to fill in text-boxes, click buttons etc. I think it might fit your needs and, if it doesn't, it's open-source, so you might be able to hack it to work. There is a whole family of Wati* products - Watin for .NET, Watir for Ruby, etc.
Getting access to external web pages are not permitted due to security credentials.
But you can open and write to a web page via winInet APIs.
