groovy and spring getting started guide - spring

I am looking to learn to gr1oovy with spring framework to access the database. I googled didn't find getting started code for spring and groovy.
Is there similar code for spring and groovy like below url.
hibernate+groovy

If you are developing a web application, the Grails framework is a good choice to start with.

Since Spring4 now can use groovy as the project language, you can really just rewrite any java examples to groovy.
Check out this spring-boot sample:

Spring Using Kotlin instead of Java for Big Scope Web dev Project?

I'm just learning Spring framework for about a Month and the great things is, run directly new Small Project using it. And I do lot of exploration and learn new stuff in Spring. I figure out there's Kotlin Integration Support with Spring.
Is that safe and stable to build Big Application using Kotlin instead of Java ?
And again its not just RESTful Api .. but would Kotlin do all the Web Task ?

how to write a code for database connection from eclipse using spring. This should be a simple spring maven project without using spring boot

I am new to spring. I am not able to figure out how to write a spring project for creating DB connection using maven , without using spring -boot or hibernate. it is supposed to be a simple spring maven project.
can you help me with few sample codes.
Install the Spring tools suite plugin for eclipse from the following link.
With spring tools suite, access the spring dashboard
Select the Import Reference App, this will provide several example applications from the Spring guides, choose the example and the example will be installed onto your eclipse workspace. These examples are well documented , with clear instructions on how to run the project. Hopefully this should help you get started with learning Spring framework.

Spring Integration (not Basic Spring) support for Drools

Do we have examples or out of box support to use Spring Integration(not Basic Spring) as opposed to Camel with Drools like in link here?
What I would looking for is a way to build/set-up Decision Tables
and be able to use Spring Integration framework already existing in my application.
I have read about Spring but what I am looking for is Integration Framework support - specifically Spring-Integration as opposed to Apache Camel
Any pointers for basic set-up appreciated.
I think would be better if I move my comment to the answer to close this question:
I'd say that you should use that Drools-Camel fusion and route the result to the Spring Integration MessageChannel http://camel.apache.org/springintegration.html. Spring Integration doesn't support directly Drools and there is no plans.
The main reason - "do not reinvent the wheel".
Since Drools lives in JBOSS very well and has that Camel integration, there is no reason to find alternative solution.
Right, it's not a position of Spring Integration developer, but we just don't want to start a new holy war "Camel VS Spring Integration" :-).

Can a simple JSp and servlet code be migrated to Spring framework?

I am a newbie in web development. I'm using servlets and JSP for web development. However, I've learnt lately that Spring Framework is apt for that which incorporate servlets, jsp etc. So, my question is that can I now run my program using Spring framework ? Like, I have 2 jsp codes, and 1 servlet class. So, how can I migrate the code in Spring Framework ? what additional things or codes do I need to maintain ?
Migrating an existing J2EE project is easy.
You will get rid of a lot of "boilerplate" code in the process. The easiest way to do it in my opinion will be to use SpringToolSuite.
Import your project in STS and then add "Maven" nature to it. In the pom configuration you can edit all the jars that you need and mention the spring framework. Once all this is setup it will be just a matter of minutes to change the code if it is small.
You can follow these video tutorials about maven and spring to learn about it.

There are more tutorials by "New Circle training" on youtube for the same.
I would also recommend you to read Spring in action 3rd edition-Manning
This book is a must and the best way to learn spring framework. Hope this helps

can i use Spring framework for developing JSP application?

I have Eclipse-EE 3.6 IDE...I want to develop a Web Application using JSP and Servlet.
I plan to develop this application using Spring framework.
is it possible...can i use Spring framework for developing JSP application?
can you provide some Tutorials for JSP Application development using spring for beginners.
You can use Spring MVC. Try following tutorials:
http://static.springsource.org/docs/Spring-MVC-step-by-step/
http://www.vaannila.com/spring/spring-mvc-tutorial-1.html
http://maestric.com/doc/java/spring
Thanks.
Yes, you can. JSP is a standard view technology for spring-mvc. I'd recommend the official spring-mvc documentation
Yes, I would say, that this is one of the most done use case for Spring.
Anyway: I strongly recommend to use STS (SpringSource Tool Suite), it is free and based on Eclipse 3.6 Java EE, but provides additional Spring features. For example the some templates for Spring Projects (new Project/SpringSource Tool Suite/Spring Template Project).
And one very interesting Feature: Task Base Tutorials. They are great if you want to lern form an example: Dashbord/Tutorials/
