going to install Mountain Lion OSX to multiple iMacs, to reduce the internet usage and get faster instalation id like to instal it from local source - already downloaded the instaler to one machine and extracted the DMG from installer
now - is there a way to connect the dmg the way so it is available as remote drive to the machine where I want to install (over LAN)?
with Disc Sharing on i know the CD/DVD can be shared, any knowledge whether it works for DMG files too? maybe disk utility somehow?
the catch is I have it downloaded on a new iMac 27" without a real drive and there is no "Disc Sharing" option in the sharing settings
Unfortunately, I know of no way to natively use i.e. PXE for Macs, so one would have to use Apples own methods. There is one that I did not test myself, using netboot and netrestore. Here is a link to a KB article:

I would like to perform a clean installation of MacOS Big Sur on my MacBook Air 2017. I've read two articles on how to do this, one said I don't need a USB installer, the other one said it is required. I just want to make sure before I do anything, do I need USB installer or is it possible to download Big Sur from the internet when performing clean installation?

Internet recovery is my first choice for reinstalling OS X. From time to time there are problems with internet recovery. Corrupt recovery partitions, firmware passwords, and a lot of misc hardware problems are what will usually prevent you from using internet recovery.
If you don't have another machine to write your USB installer, I would just make one to be safe. You could also run Apple Diagnostics before running internet recovery to make sure hardware won't be an issue. Out of hundreds of OS X installations I've done, I've only had a handful fail in a way that prevented me from using the original OS afterward, and in those cases it was always a major hardware issue.
I live in a country which almost no buty use Mac, so I grew up in IT without any knowledge regarding Mac OS.
At the moment I am working in a company which have lots of people who uses Mac PC's, because of the Covid-19 situation, most of them working from home and we are implementing Checkpoint and Fortigate in few of our branches around the country, I was able to make a Batch script to install a costume Forticlient with all the configuration inside it, the script first importing the registry then installing the app itself, after that copying the RDP file to the desktop of the user, all this was packed into Self extracted zip file, and everything is installed in silent mode.
How can I achieve the same in Mac OS?, I was able to download the Microsoft Rdp package and the checkpoint and fortigate packages (there is .pkg and .dmg file).
I have a Catalina and Mojave VM to do the tests.
I've searched the web and found out that Apple has some simple scripting language which called "Apple script", does this language can accomplish this task? or I should look for another solution?

I have an macbook air 2012, I recently installed Windows 10 in it using bootcamp.
I also downloaded the bootcamp drivers, and a folder named "BootCamp" and "$WinPEDriver$" were created in my Windows10 bootable usb. I was able to use it to install Windows10 and use it.
Then due to space issues I deleted the Windows partition, thinking I can always reinstall it, if needed.
Now I wish to reinstall it, but when I took a backup of the bootcamp drivers, I only backed up the "BootCamp" folder, I forgot to backup the "$WinPEDriver$" folder. Without "$WinPEDriver$" folder, Windows10 get installed without the drivers. When I try to manually start the setup.exe in BootCamp folder, it quits saying "$WinPEDriver$" folder is missing. So I created a empty folder named "$WinPEDriver$". With this the driver installation does proceed, but everything except the Broadcom_Bluetooth_Driver are getting installed. I tried to install the Bluetooth driver alone manually, that also didn't help.
So my question is,
Is there a way were I can download the "$WinPEDriver$" folder alone from Apple site. I live in a place where bandwidth is very low, so downloading another 2 GB of drivers will take 3 more days, and may also get interrupted frequently.
Or can I create the "$WinPEDriver$" folder manually, just as BootCamp Assitant creates it.
Or Is there a way to download the bluetooth drivers alone from apple site.
My bluetooth chipset information is Broadcom USB 20702A3.

Just create a blank folder called '$WinPEDriver$'and it'll work, I know you've probably sorted it by now but i thought i'd leave this here in case anyone else runs into the same problem.
I was able to download Apple bluetooth for windows drivers from a Parallels KB article on titled Unable to use Apple Bluetooth USB Host Controller in Virtual Machine
As for the "$WinPEDriver$" it is included in the newest version of Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5769 although it is still large at 542.3 MB it is not the 2 GB you feared it would be.
The download includes both the BootCamp and $WinPEDriver$ folders.

Incase anybody needs this when you open up Bootcamp Assistant below the 'Action' tab there is a download button to install 'Windows Support Software'. You can download from there and plug in to the Windows by using flash drive or hard disk and make the setup.
I downloaded the latest Mac OS X from AppStore to upgrade my Mac OS X 10.7.5
When I run the installer, after restarting it gave me an error regarding my Macintoch HD and it says that the problems couldn't be repaired asking me to restart backup my data then relunch the installer.
The problem is when I restart it keeps comming back to the installer, no mather what I did, I tried to fix the HD problem using diskutility but it also failed.
Also I have a HD of 1T Where I wanted to backup my data (using command line, since I can run the terminal) but my external HD is NTFS therefore its read only
What I would like to do is:
Either fix the installer problem and complete the upgrade
Find a way to transfer my data to the external HD first, than erase my Macintoch HD and try again the upgrade.
Please if you have anyclue, I'm really stuck here, and I can't afford to lose either my internal or external hard drives data.

you have a damaged file system and it cannot be repaired. to find out why reboot while holding down command+R and in recovery mode open disk utility and try to repair the disk. It will tell you why it cannot be repaired.
It may be that you need to replace the disk or just reformat it. you will need to format it as HFS+ for you to be able to install on it. you will lose all data on the disk! back up your data before reformatting
report back here after figuring out why the disk cannot be repaired and i will update my answer.
So I got the Adobe Creative Suite 6 (Design & Web Premium) for MAC but didn't have a optical drive on the MacBook.
What I have is a Windows PC with DVD and an older Macbook with DVD which are connected via LAN
I've tried to simple copy and paste the directory to install the software and also tried it with an image without success.
Any help is much appreciated!
You can buy a SuperDrive for your Mac and do it that way. Alternatively, you can download an ISO of the CS CD (legal because you already own a copy) and mount it from OS X and install that way. I like the latter option because it's more technology and cos efficient, however, whatever floats your boat works.
