I want to use my Windows Desktop (XP, Windows7, , Win 10, Linux) as Thin Client Server.
It should be able to give a simultaneous log in session to 5-6 persons using thin client or Internet.
Basically, I want it to make a server, for a community group, which can use the same machine in a room for development. To give everyone more flexibility, I would like to give them another option, to use same machine to log in (With given username and password) and use it as virtual desktop (as in case of Citrix) in a simultaneous log in manner.
If I can Internet simultaneous log in Idea, It will be a big help.
Please leave your suggestions.

I don't think I have got to the bottom of it,
but you sure can install windows7 or windows server 2008,
don't know about later versions.
And simultaneously keep few users connected with RemoteControl (msdtc) to the same machine.

Three or four times recently, I've tried shutting down my Windows 10 PC, only for it (mysteriously) to instead go back to the normal Windows login screen. And when I then try to shut the PC down from there, it (again mysteriously) warns me that this will shut down any connected users' sessions (but without giving any useful details).
All of which makes suspect (in a slightly paranoid, but probably justified way) that someone else might possibly now be logging in to my PC from time to time.
So: is there anything (i.e. application / trick / hack / whatever) I can use to find out / track who (or what) is currently (remotely) logged in to my Windows 10 PC?
Because I work from home, I guess it's conceivable that a client company's firewall / antivirus bot is doing something nasty (but legit) that I'm unaware of. But... I'd just like to know. Thanks!

My mom forgot her password, and she can’t log in to her laptop now. Is there a way for us to get our family pictures? That’s the only thing we really want to recover. I’m not a Windows user, so I’m clueless; any suggestions are more than welcome.
If the windows account is connected to a Microsoft account, the password can be reset through Microsoft directly (i.e outlook.com).
However, I am not aware of a simple way to reset the password of a local user on windows.
An alternative that may work would be to boot from a Linux live USB (DO NOT INSTALL from the USB) and access the files on the disks from there.

My network user id keeps getting locked out, but I'm not doing it. I'm positive no one is using it besides me, but it is embedded in various places, for example I have a local IIS instance that is using it. However, my ID was locked over the weekend & I wasn't working. I'm assuming that my id is embedded somewhere else with an old password. How can I find out where?
Scour the Windows Security event logs on the machines where you may have set up scheduled tasks or services to run as you. Or if it's consistently happening, power down a machine and see if you still get locked out, if you do it's not that powered off machine, use the process of elimination that way (if possible).

I have a svn installation and its repository on ubuntu system/server but our client PCS have windows 7. Can anyone provide me the good way to access svn on ubuntu from windows 7 PCS.

The OS or architecture of the client and server are irrelevant. There are a few options for you, the best and most common would be serve the repositories through apache on your ubuntu box.
The ubuntu docs on the subject are good
You can set up SVN with Apache2:

But, when using different operating systems, take care about the codification of text files when commit. Ubuntu uses UTF-8.

I would like to gain access to a remote windows machine's command prompt from my mac, and in specific from the mac's terminal, the windows machine does not have remote desktop connection at as it is a Windows 7 Home Premium edition. Is there anything that allow me to do this? I am looking for something that is reasonably command-line driven.
I can install software onto the remote machine, to act as an interface, and I have done so with applications like Logmein, but this is quite graphical and I was looking for something that is command-line focused.

Install OpenSSHD for Windows - this will allow remote "console" sessions.
If you looking for something very "unix-like" then you can install cygwin.
