Set image for disabled button in windows phone 8 - windows-phone-7

I'm using the below ControlTemplate for image button in my application.

Now in my page i'm creating the button as below.

Upto this it is fine. So when i run the application the button with image is displaying.
And it is working fine.
Now based on some internal condition i want to disable the image button.
So for disable the button i'm using the below code.
saveButton.IsEnabled = false;
So then image button is not clickable according to the above step.
But i want to change the image also whenever the button is disabled.
How could i achive this.

Dont give direct uri of the image in the buttons
you can bind it with a string property and on button click you can change the that string to another uri then it will change the image of the button to new image.

you can do it using imagesource binding ..first define your button like this.

On Button Press - Change Image Source

Good afternoon,
Im trying to figure out how to change the imagesource of an images when a button is pressed. Then the imagesource should return to its original image when the button is not in a pressed state. In other words the image is briefly replaced as long as the user presses on the button.
I was thinking something like the following pseudo-code:

The simplest way is to add image to the Button template and change the Image Source with VisualState (Pressed).

Using Dependency object for color animation WP8

I'm using a button where I've shaped it, in its ControlTemplate. I've also added a storyboard in the controlTemplate. The storyboard changes the boarder of the element in my controlTemplate. I access this from the code behind and activate it, the problem is when I do this on the phone there is a lag. I've structured my code after the MVVM structure, my view is:

I've read that one can use Dependency object for the animation, but I'm not sure how it works or if it will work, but any help trying to implement dependency object for the animation would be appreciated.
I would recommend using VisualStates to do what you are looking for. I modified the Style of a button to add a story to the MouseOver VisualState, then added event listeners for MouseEnter and MouseLeave to the button. These events are fired when you touch the device, and drag your finger over an element, and then drag it off again. You could modify the code below to check if something is being dragged. You could also take a look at Drag/Drop functionality.

Notice it has a MouseOver VisualState. Then assign the style and subscribe to the event handlers

Activating Storyboard WP8

I want to use a storyboard to change the boundary color of an button I'm using. The problem is I do not know how to begin my storyboard. I would like it to change color when I tap the element. The code I've got so far is:

From the code behind you should find the button and once you've found the button use the VisualTreeHelper to find the path in the button and then begin storyboard from the code behind. Since the Storyboard is set to the resources you should do the following once you've found the path:

Silverlight supports only Loaded as the value of RoutedEvent.

When I tried use default styles...

...background, border and foreground was white...and user was unable to see anything.
What should I do to apply default style to have gray button (as it is in many apps in Store)?
The problem is that the default button style uses a white foreground and border brush, and a transparent background brush when your application is using the dark theme. On a Page, the default button style looks just fine:
On the content pane of the Callisto SettingsFlyout, however, the button is invisible, because the content pane's Background is white. You must have noticed this since you're setting the Foreground and Background properties of the button manually in your UserControl.
A solution is to define a new style for buttons on the SettingsFlyout, working off of the default button template to do so. The default styles are located here on an 64-bit machine:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.0\Include\WinRT\Xaml\Design
I found the default style for the Button control in default.xaml in this folder.
First, I copied over this default style into a new resource dictionary. I set up App.xaml to reference this new resource dictionary like this:

With a bit of work, I tweaked the copied-over default button style and gave it an unique key. Here is the example:

How to change the WP7 List SelectedItem Background in Dynamic Data template?

I have a list in my application which uses a dynamic item template defined in the app.xaml and attached to it in the run time in C# code.
The thing is I want to change the background of the selected item, but there is no template available in my page.xaml to edit a copy of the item template for the selected state.
Is there is a way to change the selected item background from the C#. Or even define a state in app.xaml to give it to the list?
There is. If you have access to Expression Blend, you will be able to modify the default XAML to change how the selected state in VisualStateManager is handled. It is also possible to find the default XAML that is used and override that in App.Xaml.
Essentially, you need to define a new style resource for the ListBoxItem, and apply that to the listbox. For example...
