I am compiling one file using NDK android-ndk-5rc,
here is command
/media/Softwares/android-ndk-r5c/ndk-build APP_PLATFORM=android-8
but facing one strange compilation error
Fatal error: invalid -march= option: `armv5te'
make: * [/media/Softwares/Projects/FilterTest/obj/local/armeabi/objs/convolution/convolution.o] Error 1
i searched armv5te in whole folder android-ndk-r5c and modified to armv7-a, still facing same error.
Any help is great....

I am using the following cmd to build a wasm using emscripten:
npm run build
It gets so far through before failing during the configure:

make: invalid option -- 'D'
make: invalid option -- 'D'

Any ideas on how to deal with this? Couldn't find any help online.
I had the same problem on Ubuntu 14.04 and I fix it as you said . But I am just writing to explain more the issue.
So , After googling the error I found this discussion . In which they describe that the problem arises from the fact that the google coders are relying on the fact that the C++ standard allows you to treat an undefined preprocessor symbol as evaluating to 0. So there is a bunch of #if directives testing the value of PROTOBUF_INLINE_NOT_IN_HEADERS when it hasn’t been defined anywhere; this is legal and should be treated as if it’s a zero.
I fixed this by adding -DPROTOBUF_INLINE_NOT_IN_HEADERS=0 into CCFLAGS in the the top-level SConstruct and CXXFLAGS in src/SConscript (CXXFLAGS) and that seemed to catch it.
So to fix this , you should add this line in the CMakeList.txt that you find in opentxs main folder :
add_definitions(-DPROTOBUF_INLINE_NOT_IN_HEADERS=0)
And don't forget to repeat the cmake step .
Hope this is more clear and helpful .
Fixed this by adding this line at the top of the CMakelists.txt
add_definitions(-DPROTOBUF_INLINE_NOT_IN_HEADERS=0)

Error while building project qca (target: Desktop)
When executing build step 'Make'
Thanks in advance for the help
I can't say for sure that this is your problem but you may want to try using the make that is available with MSYS. I've always had better success with it. From MinGW's own FAQ..
The "native" (i.e.: MSVCRT dependent)
port of make is lacking in some
functionality and has modified
functionality due to the lack of POSIX
on Win32.
The problem in the configure was that the executable doesnt find the windows make (mingw-make).
The solution is to put the right path to the envinronment variables (qt and mingw bin path).

It is highly likely that you are building the kernel with a configuration that has a mistake. It happens occasionally; there are hundreds of configuration options, and they can't all be checked.
The first thing you want to do is confirm that you are able to build at least some configuration. So, just build a default configuration. This is primarily to rule out operator error:
make distclean
make defconfig
make
If that fails there may be problems with your setup / environment. Try an older kernel, and report back here. If you are able to build the default configuration then you should report the failed configuration to the Linux Kernel Mailing List
http://www.lkml.org
From there they will be able to help you, tell you to wait, or direct you to a subsystem maintainer for the failed driver.
