There is no default content in joomla 3.1 - joomla

I am new to joomla, so i recently downloaded joomla 3.1 after installing it in my localhost i am not able to proceed further in creating a website since there is no default content in joomla 3.1 when compared to joomla 2.5.
Is there any way to enable the content from administrator login ?

No, default content is installed as part of the setup process.
If all you've done is install Joomla, then I suggest you delete the installation and re-install Joomla, this time selecting the option to install one of the "Sample Data" groups:
List itemBlog English (GB) Sample Data
Brochure English (GB) Sample Data
Default English (GB) Sample Data
Learn Joomla English (GB) Sample Data
Test English (GB) Sample Data
You'll find this option on the third and final tab before the installation proceeds, as shown below:

I can't update Joomla metadata

My Joomla website had been hacked by someone and he modify the website title and description which show in the google search (when i search my site in google I found my site with hacker title and description ) .
I found no changes in the metadata and description in the Joomla site configuration.
Is there other place that override my Joomla setting?
It could be anywhere, but quickly check the template main file(s) usually /templates/your_template/index.php.
Don't spend more than two minutes on this. Your site was hacked: you need to clean it first. Restore a good backup, update it, find out how they got in.
If you don't have a backup, reinstall Joomla! over it and all extensions and template, that may buy you some time.

Joomla Multilanguage

I created a website in Joomla 3.4, but the Multilanguage feature is just not working for me. I have followed the steps here:
https://www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/multi-lingual-joomla/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNI_B3RezgQ
I do not see the flags for my FaLang module and now I have an error about my menu. (my site is salimlawfirm.com/en).
The Spanish site should be at salimlawfirm.com/es but this does not load the website. Instead shows me the root directory.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
You might want to give our component a try Neno Translate it has a bunch of features in addition to Falang.
To make it work you have to be very meticulous. The ostraining link tells you how to work with third parties module/compontents. But you can achieve a multi-language website in Joomla with no extra help.
Install the language packages you need
Activate the related language plugins if need be
Create a "main menu" (for example choose the type blog)per language where you set at list one item which is the home page of your website. Select the language of that item in the language dropdown
now you can create content, but set every time the language of the post.
Joomla has a build in language switcher module that you can use. set it. Now if you select a language, only the post of that language will show up in your home page. you will need to set a main menu module per language published in the same position as well.

Magento Seems Incomplete is it?

I downloaded and installed magento on xampp by bitnami. Here is a screenshot of what i can see once i open localhost/magento :
I was watching a video on youtube about magento but he had a bit different view:
So what i wanted to know was, is my install incomplete? because it lacks the main content it just has the side bar content and the top bar. (Note: In the video the guy had also said that all that was pre-made and he did not add any of that himself) What is it? and if it comes automatically how do i add it? re-install?
Yes that guy did not enter all that himself but he uses the sample data provided by magento itself.
Magento has a sample data archive available that contains sample products and CMS pages to allow you to explore your new Magento installation without having to create everything from scratch.
Note: You cannot install that sample data now. You need to re-install with some more steps.
Here is the magento page about all this.

Syndication Feeds in Joomla 1.6 not displaying link to XML

I have enabled Syndication Feeds then created RSS Feed module to display it in the footer of a web site but I have hit into issue that RSS Feed link is empty.
Site is located here http://holyapostlesnyc.org
Any idea what can be wrong? We are running Joomla 1.6.0
Thanks
PS.
When I have added menu as category list I am able to user raw output to RSS Feed http://holyapostlesnyc.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=8&format=feed&type=rss
Maybe it will help to find out why is not working by default?
As I can see your feed link is dead, something is not working properly. I assume you to use some component for your feed generator
Take a look here http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/content-sharing/rss-syndicate
Also, upgrade your joomla website, the 1.6 version is not supported anymore. 2.5 is the up and running version

Please clarify - What's my default site?

I've just installed Joomla and I'm a little confused with the new interface.
I'm actually looking at Joomla after about 2 years.
I've installed it and it has things like default pages about joomla, Australian Parks and Fruits...
Now, are these separate sites or are they just a heap of pages? Thanks!
It looks like you installed the default data during the installation process. This demo data is intended to show you the features of Joomla and how it works. To stop it from showing start the installation and on the last step you will be asked to enter the admin password and the site name... don't click on "Install Sample Data" and your Joomla installation will be plain waiting for you to load the contents!
