You can implement Session Timeout in the config file like
'components' => array(
'session' => array(
'timeout' => 300,
),
),

Laravel Voyager redirect to other page after login

I just started using Laravel and learning. I would like to redirect users to a custom section create through the BREAD.
In Voyager Controller, I see there is this function return Voyager::view('voyager::index');
I want to redirect to the page /admin/members
How can I achieve this? I tried to search around but can't find the solution. Hope someone can help with this. Thank you
I solved this problem by updating the user's configuration in config/voyager.php (Laravel config directory). Edit below configurations (redirect index)
'user' => [
'add_default_role_on_register' => true,
'default_role' => 'user',
'default_avatar' => 'users/default.png',
'redirect' => '/admin',
],
to
'user' => [
'add_default_role_on_register' => true,
'default_role' => 'user',
'default_avatar' => 'users/default.png',
'redirect' => '/admin/members',
],

Social login - Laravel 4.2 application - need additional data

I'm using this package, https://github.com/artdarek/oauth-4-laravel but only getting id and user name.
I need additional data like email, firstname, lastname etc
I used this package as also need to integrate login with google also
'Facebook' => array(
'client_id' => 'aaa----aaaaa',
'client_secret' => 'xxx----xxxxx',
'callback_url' => 'http://staging.crossinghoods.com/customer-account/login/fb/callback',
'scope' => array('email'),
),
$result = json_decode( $fb->request( '/me?fields=email,first_name,last_name,picture' ), true );
These two steps solved my issue. But it was not found in the documentation.

How can i change the base url of an application in yii1?

I'm new to the Yii Framework. I was given an application to work on at the office. How can I change the base url of an application in Yii1?
You can edit /path/to/application/protected/config/main.php to change the default value. Add a request component, and configure baseUrl porperty.
return array(
...
'components' => array(
...
'request' => array(
'baseUrl' => 'http://www.example.com',
),
),
);

CakePHP continue session outside cake

I'm trying to continue the CakePHP session outside the application.
The CakePHP session config:
Configure::write('Session', array(
'checkAgent' => false,
'defaults' => 'cake',
'timeout' => 10080, // 1 week,
'ini' => array(
'session.cookie_httponly' => 1,
)
));
cakephp_webroot/test_session.php:
<?php
session_name("CAKEPHP");
session_start();
var_dump($_SESSION);
?>
test session.php should output the cake session, but it is not working. I've verified the cookie CAKEPHP is present.
You are using the cake defaults for session handling, they are not compatible with the PHP defaults (available as php for the defaults option).
The cake configuration uses a custom save path and enforces cookie usage.
https://github.com/cakephp/.../Datasource/CakeSession.php#L600-L612
// ...
'cake' => array(
'cookie' => 'CAKEPHP',
'timeout' => 240,
'ini' => array(
'session.use_trans_sid' => 0,
'url_rewriter.tags' => '',
'session.serialize_handler' => 'php',
'session.use_cookies' => 1,
'session.cookie_path' => self::$path,
'session.save_path' => TMP . 'sessions',
'session.save_handler' => 'files'
)
),
// ...
So either configure your external scripts session usage the same as the cake defaults, or use the php defaults instead, and control things via your PHP ini configuration.

Store session in MemCache instead of default session storage in Yii 1.x

This is the code, that I've added to config/main.php in my Yii 1.x application:
'mCache' => array(
'class' => 'system.caching.CMemCache',
'useMemcached'=>true,
'keyPrefix'=>'',
'hashKey'=>false,
'serializer'=>false,
'servers' => array(
array('host' => '127.0.0.1', 'port' => 11211, 'weight' => 10000)
),
),
'session' => array(
'sessionName' => 'PHPSESSID',
'class' => 'CCacheHttpSession',
'autoStart' => true,
'cacheID' => 'mCache',
'cookieMode' => 'only',
'timeout' => 1200
),
What should I do next, to force Yii to use CMemCache, instead of default session storage?
I know this answer is old, but this configuration works
'memcacheConn'=>array(
'class'=>'CMemCache',
'servers'=>array(
array(
'host'=>'172.17.0.1',
'port'=>11211,
//'weight'=>60,
),
),
),
'session' => array(
'class' => 'CCacheHttpSession',
'autoStart' => true,
'cacheID' => 'memcacheConn',
'cookieMode' => 'allow',
'sessionName' => 'MYSSIONNAME',
),
Did you read introduction to CMemCache in Yii 1.x API documentation? I think you didn't. In first paragraphs of this document, you have an example, how to use CMemCache in Yii 1.x.
Change 'class'=>'CCacheHttpSession' into 'class'=>'CMemCache' in your session key of configuration file. And you don't have to register CMemCache as separate component, like you did in your example (mCache). You can configure it directly in session configuration key.
An example from Yii 1.x API documentation:
array
(
'components'=>array
(
'cache'=>array
(
'class'=>'CMemCache',
'servers'=>array
(
array
(
'host'=>'server1',
'port'=>11211,
'weight'=>60,
),
array
(
'host'=>'server2',
'port'=>11211,
'weight'=>40,
)
)
)
)
)
