Here's my code:
<script>
$(document).ready(function(){
setInterval(function(){
$.ajax({
type: 'get',
url: base_url+'main/activity_window',
dataType: 'json',
success: function(html) {
//don't know what the code here :(
}
});
},30000);
});
</script>
This is the code inside my controller:
function activity_window(){
$this->load->model('core_m');
$core_m = new Core_m;
$t = $core_m->get_waybill_created();
foreach($t as $result){
echo json_encode(array('name'=>$result['waybillno']));
}
}
This is my div/table:
<div id="put_data_here"></div>
<table id="put_data_here"></table>
This is the result from the controller:
{"name":"MAIN-0056-00000006"}{"name":"MAIN-0056-00000005"}{"name":"MAIN-0056-00000004"}{"name":"MAIN-0056-00000003"}{"name":"MAIN-0056-00000002"}{"name":"MAIN-0056-00000001"}
how to put the data inside the div or table like this:
New Waybill Entry MAIN-0056-00000006
New Waybill Entry MAIN-0056-00000005
New Waybill Entry MAIN-0056-00000004
New Waybill Entry MAIN-0056-00000003
New Waybill Entry MAIN-0056-00000002
New Waybill Entry MAIN-0056-00000001
help me please.. thank you in advance sir..
Why not use jQuery ?
function load_page (option) {
$('#put_data_here').load('something.php?option='+option).fadeIn(300);
}
In ur success function :
success: function(html) {
//don't know what the code here :(
$("#put_data_here").html(html); //If you have jquery added
document.getElementById("put_data_here").innerHTML = html; // Javascript solution
}
If you want to loop through the json array, then you should do that before adding to html.

Good day.
I want to know why is my project calling the wrong url? The code is:
SCRIPT
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: "/Application/Franchise",
data: JSON.stringify(sendInfo),
dataType: "json",
contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8",
success: function (result) {
$('#myModal3').modal('hide'); //hide the modal
},
error: function () {
alert("Error while inserting data");
}
});
CONTROLLER
public class ApplicationController : Controller
{
public ActionResult Franchise()
{
return View();
}
}
I even tried changing the url by 'Url.Action("Franchise", "Application")' but still the system kept on bringing me to http://localhost:49267/Home/Franchise.
I can't understand what is wrong here. Is there a bug in jquery ajax url post?
Thanks in advance.

Ok. So I found my problem. It was in my controller.
In my controller I tried adding return RedirectToAction("Franchise", "Home"); after the save command. As soon as I commented this, everything worked.
Thanks for the help again guys.
Please use the browser to access directly, not from within the IDE directly access, from the localhost:49267 should be from the IDE access, and you will write URL as http://www.google.com try.
Need to delete a record without using form tag. Just pass a id in url and get a id need to process.
Thanks
follow below steps
HTML
Delete
JS
$('a#btnDelete').on('click',function()
{
var thisElement = $(this);
$.ajax({
type: 'post',
url: "{{url('/')}}" + '/deleteRecord/'+thisElement.attr('thisRecordId'),
data : {'_token': '{!! csrf_token() !!}'},
async: false,
success:function(response)
{
console.log(response)
}
});
});
Route
Route::post('deleteRecord/{id}','YourController#deleteRecord');
Controller
public function deleteRecord($id)
{
$findRecord = ModelName::findOrFail($id);
$findRecord->delete();
return 'success';
}
hope you will find your solution !
Try like this
<a type="button" class="label label-danger" href="/user/delete/{{$user->id}}">Delete</a>
Controller method
public function getDelete($id)
{
echo $id;
}
Im trying to use ajax to sent request. I have CartsController and a method add. Please help!
<?php
echo $this->Html->link('Add', array('controller'=>'carts',
'action'=>'add', 'product_id'=>$product['Product']['id']),
array('class'=>'btn btn-primary col-md-offset-4',
'data-product-id'=>$product['Product']['id']));
?>
$('a.btn').on('click', function(e){
var this = $(this);
var product_id = this.data('product-id');
this.html('Item Added');
$.ajax({
url: '/cartphp_cart/carts/add/',
type: 'POST',
data: {product_id: product_id},
success: function(count) {
$('#number-of-items').text(' ' + count);
console.log(count);
}
});
e.preventDefault();
});
If the ajax request is OK, than in your add method of CartsController
you can get it by
if ($this->request->is('post') || $this->request->is('put')) {
debug($this->request->data['product_id'])
}
You should be able to access the data you've put in your ajax request by
if( $this->request->is('ajax') ) {
pr($this->request->data['product_id']);
// Or try printing the whole $this->request->data if you need other items.
}
Trying to use the built in AJAX functions with the Wordpress Admin. I've been following this tutorial, but when I run the jQuery script, the data isn't being saved to the user meta.
<?php
add_action( 'admin_footer', 'ring_jquery' );
function ring_jquery() {
?>
<script type="text/javascript">
jQuery('.ring-submit').on('click', function(){
var u = jQuery(this).attr('user'),
c = jQuery('.agt_ringc[user="'+u+'"]').val(),
x = jQuery('.agt_ringx[user="'+u+'"]').val(),
formData = 'ringu='+u+'&ringc='+c+'&ringx='+x;
jQuery.ajax({
url: '<?php echo admin_url('admin-ajax.php'); ?>',
type: 'POST',
data: formData,
success: function(e){
jQuery('.success[user="'+u+'"]').fadeIn(400).delay(400).fadeOut(400);
},
error: function(){
jQuery('.fail[user="'+u+'"]').fadeIn(400).delay(400).fadeOut(400);
}
});
});
</script>
<?php
} //End ring_jquery()
add_action('wp_ajax_my_action', 'ring_callback');
function ring_callback() {
global $wpdb; // this is how you get access to the database
$ringu = $_POST['ringu'];
$ringc = $_POST['ringc'];
$ringx = $_POST['ringx'];
update_user_meta($ringu,'agt_ringc',$ringc);
update_user_meta($ringu,'agt_ringx',$ringx);
die(); // this is required to return a proper result
}
?>
You will need to have action : my_action in the data string , or as per codex :
var data = {
action: 'my_action',
whatever: 1234
};
Issue was, as #ObmerkKronen pointed out was that I was missing an action definition in the data string (which tells the AJAX page which function to run).
formData = 'action=ring_callback&ringu='+u+'&ringc='+c+'&ringx='+x;
I also changed the name of the action hook to match the name of the function. I don't know if this was necessary, but some other things I found did it and I wanted to fit in.
add_action('wp_ajax_ring_callback', 'ring_callback');
I have made an Ajax function but i am getting a big prolem in that.
I was displaying the contents on click of the link..
The links are fetched from the database and also the url of the links are fetched from the datbase.
I have wriiten ajax to call the contents dynamically on click of the link
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function () {
$('a').click(function (e) {
e.preventDefault();
var filename = $(this).text();
var Hobbyurl = '#Url.Action("FetchUrlByHobbyName")';
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: Hobbyurl,
data: { data: filename },
success: function (returndata) {
$('iframe').attr('src', returndata);
}
});
});
});
</script>
Now FetchUrlByHobbyName is the function called from the Controller thart returns the url
//Ajax routine to fetch the hobbyinfo by hobbyname
[HttpPost]
public ActionResult FetchUrlByHobbyName(string data)
{
HobbyMasters hobbymaster = new HobbyHomeService().FetchHobbyMasterByHobbyName(data);
string url = hobbymaster.InformationUrl;
if (HttpContext.Request.IsAjaxRequest())
return Json(url);
return View();
}
And in my View i have written the link like this:
#foreach (var item in Model)
{
<li >#Html.ActionLink(item.HobbyName, "Hobbies")
</li>
}
i tried this :
#Html.ActionLink(item.HobbyName, "Hobbies", null, new { id = "alink" })
and then calling Ajax on click of 'alink' but with this my ajax function doesnot get called.
Now the problem is the ajax function is getting called on click of every link on the page..
I want to assign a unique Id to it but i am not understanding how to do that
please Help me...
For that specific link, assign an id. E.g
<a id="someID" href="url">Link</a>
and than bind the click only with that link.
$('#someID').click(function (e)) ....
If I understood you correctly this helps you
The text of the link
<script type="text/javascript">
function myAjaxFunction(){
e.preventDefault();
var filename = $(this).text();
var Hobbyurl = '#Url.Action("FetchUrlByHobbyName")';
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: Hobbyurl,
data: { data: filename },
success: function (returndata) {
$('iframe').attr('src', returndata);
}
});
</script>
Try to give a css class selector to you action link like this...
#Html.ActionLink("some link", "Create", "Some_Controller", new { }, new { #class = "test" })
then User jquery for it..
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function () {
$('.test').click(function (e) {
e.preventDefault();
var filename = $(this).text();
var Hobbyurl = '#Url.Action("FetchUrlByHobbyName")';
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: Hobbyurl,
data: { data: filename },
success: function (returndata) {
$('iframe').attr('src', returndata);
}
});
});
});
</script>
