Default product options view place the option name on a line, forces a line break, and then displays options beneath.
Anyone know where/which changes need to be made to remove the line break so that the option choice displays next to the option name?
I'm using Magento 1.6.2 Community. Thanks!
You can achieve this with just css, just put a float left on the label and inputbox.
The easiest way to find out where a template file is located in magento is to turn on template path hints
See How do I turn on template path hints
Also you may want to use 'chrome inspect element' or 'firebug for firefox' to see if you can restyle it using css.
i am using dojo toolkit with php codeigniter 2.1.0 and i want to put space in tab name wherever necessary.
Anyone has any solution??
My code is :
<div id="setupParty" data-dojo-type="dijit.MenuItem"
onclick="addPartyTab('AddParty');">Manage <u>P</u>arty</div
If i will directly write as :
<div id="setupParty" data-dojo-type="dijit.MenuItem"
onclick="addPartyTab('Add Party');">Manage <u>P</u>arty</div
then it throws error
I want my tab to be displayed with name as "Add Party"
can anyone suggest me solution for this???
Thanx in advance
What error does it throw?
how does the code in addPartyTab look like?
The following should work in any case:
onclick="addPartyTab('Add Party');">
However, this may not be an ideal solution. You need to look into your addPartyTab function to first, ensure the text with embedded space is coming through fine (and i dont see any reason why it shouldnt) and then examine the code in that function to ensure it is being processed correctly - i suspect somewhere in there you will find why it is breaking.
In general, you can set title on a dijit tab (which is typically a contentpane) directly even if the title contains spaces without any issue. Following is a typical way of doing it:
dijit.byId("myTabContentPane").set("title", "Add Party - Hurray!");
where myTabContentPane is the id of the contentpane that makes up that tab
I can't seem to find how to get the currently selected text from a Text widget in ruby. In perl there was a ->getSelected function, which does not seem to exist in the ruby implementation. Also, the selected text is supposed to be marked with a tag "sel", but whenever I try to use it with get("sel"), it says invalid text index. There must be a way to get the selected text though...
Also, another question, by default, the text widget in perl has a pop menu with all sorts of functionality like search, copy/paste. Was this just a perl specific add on?
Yes, the popup menu in perl is a perl-specific add-on.
As for getting the selected text, you are correct that the selected text has the "sel" tag, and you use that to get the selected text. To retrieve the selected text you should use the index sel.first and sel.last, for example:
get("sel.first", "sel.last")
A really good resource on Tk that covers usage in Tcl, Python, Ruby and Perl see tkdocs.com. The text widget is documented on that site in the tutorial on text.
Of course I finally figured this out right after posting. The index is "sel.first" and "sel.last". so I used get("sel.first", "sel.last")
In gherkin syntax (used by Cucumber and SpecFlow, I can comment out a line by prefixing it with '#'
Is there any way to block-comment multiple lines?
It is not supported by Gherkin, so you have to prefix all lines with #.
If you use the SpecFlow Visual Studio extension (v1.9.2) you can simply select the lines and toggle them into comments and back. The default shortcuts are Ctrl+K,C to comment and Ctrl+K,U to uncomment.
You can also "workaround" this problem in Visual Studio using the multi-line editing feature. (See http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2010/04/26/box-selection-and-multi-line-editing-with-vs-2010.aspx). You just have to select the beginning of the lines with holding ALT and using the mouse. Using this feature you can type in all the selected lines at the same time. You can also remove all of them similarly, selecting all the # characters for deletion.
Yes, there is. It's called PyStrings type comments. See example at http://docs.behat.org/guides/1.gherkin.html#pystrings.
It will work if you use it just after Feature or Scenario and some other elements.
Feature: my feature
""" some block comment
still block comment
""" end of block comment
Scenario: my feature
""" some block comment
still block comment
""" end of block comment
One the other hand it will not work if you want to comment out some steps.
I think you can configure your IDE to comment out a line on standard key combination. For example IntelliJ recognizes *.feature files and allows to comment out line out of the box. The same possible to do with Notepad++ or even VS.
Single line comment : #
Mutli line comment :
Starts with """
Ends with """
In Eclipse, for commenting single/multiple lines of Gherkin feature file content, we can also do the following.
Add new file association
Windows > Preferences > General > Editors> File Associations > File types: > Add...
and add a new file type as *.feature
Associate an editor for new file type
Associated Editors > > Add...
add Properties File Editor (Default).
Now reopen the file if it's open and it will open in Properties File Editor instead of Text editor.
Doing this allows me select any number of lines and comment-out using the common commenting shortcut Ctrl+Shift+C
Use CTRL + /
It works great. Multiple line comment
For commenting :
Single Line --> #
Multiple Line --> """
Use Command key + '?' key to comment multiple lines for cucumber scripts in MAC.
There's no block commenting in Gherkin, however you can comment multiple lines at once by selecting that block and hitting ctrl + /
You could achieve it by selecting all the lines that you want to comment and then pressing "Ctrl + plus/equals key + /" keys in eclipse.
I don't think it's supported, actually. I have been doing Cucumber related work for about 2 years now and I never seen it.
You'll have to do lot of #-lines ;).
I would start reading the great wiki on github (https://github.com/cucumber/cucumber/wiki/Gherkin)

Well, I have so far used # to comment the test steps. If you use this, you should individually comment out each and every line, scenarios and examples which ever applicable. Though this is not recommended, still, I dont see anything similar supported in gherkin yet.
Select all the lines you want to comment and press cmd+shift+c.

I wanted to change the breadcrumbs starting point from Home to My title. I edited the file /magento/app/code/core/Mage/Catalog/Block/Breadcrumbs.php but it doesn't seem to be working. Is XML playing a role in that?
thanks
Your best option is to use Magento's translate feature. Notice how the text in Breadcrumbs.php is wrapped with ->__('text') which instructs Magento to see if there is a translation for text for the current module. If you turn on Translate Inline in System>Config>Admin>Developer, you will be able to edit the text on the page (after refreshing, click the red box then the little book icon). This will then be entered into the database in the core_translate table and replaced in future page renders.
As a general rule, you should never edit files in app/code/code as you will break future upgrades and patches.
