I am new to JCAPS and trying to build a sample project where I will read a file and write the content to the file system.
I have created the JCD, connectivity map and deployment profile using edesigner 5.1.3.
However when I am building the project, I am getting the error:
There are uncommitted source code changes, please commit the changes
before activation
Even though I don't have any code checked-out.
Could you please let me know why I am getting this error?
JCAPS is notoriously cryptic. In this instance, it is trying to tell you that you've changed your JCD, but not hit the green commit button in the JCD editor (bottom left). To fix this, open the JCD, hit the commit button, hit the validate button (top middle) then save it. For good measure, I would also commit the JCD file itself.
As an aside, if you can avoid using JCAPS altogether, I'd suggest Mirth for light weight integration projects and camel for everything else.

I'm getting this message from VS2019 in the 'Git Changes' window when I push code in my repository:
Failed to push to the remote repository. See the Output window for more details.
But there's no message in the Output window and furthermore, I checked the repository and the new code is there. This has been happening consistently since last week. What's happening and how do I make the message go away?
This looks like a bug, but I can't really tell without seeing your Git Integration configuration and the steps you are using to reproduce the error.
I would suggest filing a bug report under the "Send Feedback" button (just under the X close button). Make sure to supply a detailed description and screenshots.
I personally stopped using the built-in Git/Github integration as it is pretty new and still has some problems.
In the meantime, GitKraken is a good alternative.
Hi I was coding and I deleted my view controller. I added a new one but when I started coding in the next day, I wasn't able to open the assistant editor and when I opened my other projects they were also having the same error. Also the new ones that I made, also had the same error. therefore I wasn't able to establish a connection between view controller and story board,
and there was a lock icon on the side of the assistant editor that I tried to open
when I tried to unlock the lock icon it showed
The file is a remote resource. Try making a local copy.
this is the screenshot of how it looked like
please help
sorry for trouble, I found that there was problem in my derived data I simply deleted it,
the bar that shows you, your build fails and successes at the top center was showing indexing and when I clicked on run button it showed build failed the error was in my derived data.
If somebody is having the same trouble try to delete the current derived data.
maybe this error was produced because you deleted your view controller and made a new one here see what it was showing me
the error was no such directory and showed me the address of the derived data I had reported to Xcode
So, new to .NET Core and going slow. Followed a standard tutorial for ASP.NET Core MVC app using Entity Framework to connect to MSSQLLocalDB - this went well.
Converted the application to connect to MySql, and went equally well,
Changed the name of a table on MySql to Interests from Interest, and after a bit of fiddling around this to was put to bed, that is it was working as expected.
Went to run the application today and I get:
There were Build Errors Would you like to continue and run the last successfull build.
Code has reverted to Interest, from Interests in several places in Obj files,
for instance "Create.cshtml.g.cs"
Corrected the code and went to run, the same build error pops up, and all corrections are undone.
I make the changes again, save the files, exit VS, reload, the changes are as they should be, run and it reverts all changes, failing again.
I thought this might be some sort of cache issue so deleted the obj folder, again corrected the entries, but again run the build and the corrections reverted!
I solved this issue on my machine by changing the cshtml file properties. Right click the chstml file in the Solution Explorer window, click on Properties in the context menu. Then in the Properties window, change the "Copy to Output Directory" to "Copy if newer". Then make sure "Build Action" is set to "Content".
I have renamed my project name, And it is working fine to me and building successfully. And I committed these changes to my Server, other person working on same project with different branch.
So, Once he got pull from server xcode asked him "Revert" or "Keep Xcode version", we selected revert option, then code project name came as red colour and files not showing.
We tried somany ways to fix this, we are not found any solution, can anyone suggest us to fix this issue.
For renaming app name,
I have just renamed the appname.xcodeproj in left panel of xcode and then created new scheme.
We are using Gitlab source control.
I will suggest to take a new clone.
When you are adding complex project structural/configuration level changes, then it is always better to take a new clone to avoid the misleading behavior. Merging the remote code will create a conflicts with local project workspace and behavior may weird.
I have created multiple applications from boilerplate templates and for some reason, it is no longer possible to download the Starter Code. I open the application panel, select Start Coding in the left pane, then select Eclipse Tools for Bluemix. Further down, as expected, there is a "Download Starter Code" button, but it links back to bluemix.net instead of to a code archive file. Has anyone seen this? I have deleted / re-created the apps many times, but it never produces an archive. I have seen several posts here on Starter Code, but none specifically with this issue.
In some cases this behaviour is related to the browser language setting. Try setting it to English (if you use another language) and check if the download button url now points to the correct zip.
Another possible workaround is to instantiate one of the boilerplates and then click on the Add Git button at the top right hand of the screen when viewing the overview of the running app. Using the Add Git button on a boilerplate (or runtime) instantiated app you can see the sample code in DevOps Service. You can download it from there or you could git clone the repository and get the code that way.
Alternatively please take a look at the IBM Bluemix repo on GitHub.
you can do same by three ways you can also clone git repository of starter code or you can download commandline interface and fallow instruction
for me while developing node application download eclipse archive worked fine
