jQGrid With Multiple Row Data - jqgrid

I have a requirement to display a single jqgrid into several lines (2 or 3). The user does not want to use the grid horizontal scroll bar and would like to see several data at once.
Anybody with an idea how to do this?

If I understand your question correctly you want to wrap rows in the grid because the grid have large number or rows. It's not possible because jqGrid are base on HTML <table> and the row (<tr>) of table can't be wrapped.
If you have grid with columns which text is long you can consider wrapping inside of cells of grid. See the answer, this one, this one and the answer too.

Google Spreadsheets: Working with data inserted from forms across tabs

I'm in great need of help. I've a form which asks basic questions and puts the results into rows of an existing spreadsheet.
Specific data from those responses are "promoted" to 2nd, 3rd and 4th tabs based on IF formulas on tabs 2+ checking the value of a pull down selection on in the corresponding row on each previous tab. (Waterfall)
My challenge is - forms data is inserted into a new row (Does not use existing) and if I set the pulldown value to "Approved" on the first tab, the formulas on the second tab which were contiguous now skip the row where the form data was automatically entered.
I suspect I need to learn how to properly use ArrayFormula, etc, but have not managed to fix this looking at existing examples combined with my IF statements.
Help is appreciated. Sample is here. Safe to ignore the first and last tabs.
Thank you.
You can try using an open-ended range with ArrayFormula. For example, the formula on "2-Pipeline" in cell D3 could be:
=arrayformula(IF('1-IdeasReceived'!U2:U="Approved",'1-IdeasReceived'!L2:L, ))
The ranges U2:U and L2:L should pick up all rows in those columns, even after you've had forms submitted.
Since this is an ArrayFormula over column ranges, you only need it in cell D3; it will inject CONTINUE formulas down the rest of the column.
Warning: Your spreadsheet is combining dynamic row content (e.g. pulled from another sheet) with static content (e.g. "Environment, Health & Safety" column on "2-Pipeline" sheet). This is bound to result in misalignment if rows are added or deleted in the middle of the source data.

split each "record" on jqgrid to two rows

I have a jqgrid that has a lot of information for each record. It's causing a lot of horizontal scrolling and I'd like to avoid that.
I thought about using a subgrid, but every example I've seen for subgrid has the sub-info collapsed and I don't really want that. I just want the 2nd row for each record to be indented a bit.
Is there a good way to handle this besides using a subgrid. The other drawback to subgrid I've found is that it wants to load secondary data on the click to expand it. I'd rather just have all of the data loaded on the initial grid load.
TIA

datatables sorting with images

I have the following problem - I have a datatable with n number of rows. The first column is Serial Number using simple counter. My table has a functionality in which when I double click the row, it becomes editable and 'check' and 'cancel' images show up in the first column, right beside the serial number. User can edit row and save/cancel the row accordingly.
The problem with this logic is, since there are images in the first column, I'm not able to sort the table based on the first column. When I remove the images, sorting works perfectly.
I know this is a weird problem, but I really dont want to change the editing logic for this.
Please help!!
Got help from datatables.net. Removed the images from the first column. On edit event, used jQuery append and remove to add/remove the elements to the first column.

jqgrid grouping with scrolled paging - stuck

I have a scenario where i need to use scrolled paging on my jqgrid, and it works perfectly. But now i need to add dynamic grouping capabilities to the grid as well. The problem I face, is that when I group the grid, only records in teh currently loaded page get grouped, and not the whole underlying dataset. Is there a way to acheive this using jqgrid.
a. Grouping groups all rows in a dataset, not just the ones loaded in a scrolled page in the grid.
b. When expanding such a group and scrolling, the grouped rows now follow scrolled paging
Any help here would be appreciated as I have been trying to figure this out for a while now with no luck :-(
Thanks

How do I change the orientation of a table in a BIRT report

I need to change the orientation of a table in a BIRT report so that the table header is vertical instead of horizontal.
Is this possible? I don't want to use a Crosstab.
It seems this thread is still being pointed at so I posted an example of a horizontal table layout using a crosstab. I know it won't help the original author but others following this thread now may find this helpful.
To create the horizontal grouping, first create your query like normal, then create a Data Cube. In this data cube, drag each field that you want into a group. Then drag a new crosstab on the report and drag each field into the top right column group area. It will create a new header row for each field. Don't put anything in the left side (Rows) and don't put anything in the measure field (bottom-right). This will create labels on the left... and the data will extend out to the right.
The report design example can be downloaded from: http://developer.actuate.com/community/forum/index.php?/files/file/1079-horizontal-table-using-crosstab/

If you want dataset records to be reported across the page, this would have to be done via a crosstab.
If you want dataset records to be reported down the page, this can't be done automatically as far as I know. However, it can be done by inserting a new detail line in your report table object for each database field to be reported, then moving column headings from the heading row into the first column's detail rows and moving record values into the second column's detail rows.
So, for example, a report with 6 columns in it would become a two column report with six detail rows.
Not in box (up to 3.7). You have to use 3'd party libs like that one.
