I'm developing a service using ElasticSearch.
My ElasticSearch has 3 nodes and which has clustered by private IPs.
My local computer is not in the same private IP area (ie., I have to connect using public IP).
I'm trying to connect the master node using public IP.
Here is the context configuration for ElasticsearchTemplate.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:elasticsearch="http://www.springframework.org/schema/data/elasticsearch"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/data/elasticsearch http://www.springframework.org/schema/data/elasticsearch/spring-elasticsearch-1.0.xsd
http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-3.1.xsd">
<elasticsearch:repositories base-package="com.my.project"/>
<elasticsearch:transport-client id="client" cluster-nodes="my_public_ip:9300" />
<bean name="elasticsearchTemplate" class="org.springframework.data.elasticsearch.core.ElasticsearchTemplate">
<constructor-arg name="client" ref="client"/>
</bean>
</beans>
However, ElasticsearchTemplate(of Spring data elasticsearch) automatically discover clustered node and failed to connect because of the private IPs.
Is there any way to ignore other discovered nodes for development or test?
I've attached error logs below.
Thanks in advance.

Check the iptables rules of the system (assuming linux), as it will by default block your elasticsearch ports(9200/9300). If possible turn it off.
Are u able to telnet localhost at 9300 and 9200 from your instance ?
Check the elasticsearch logs for any misconfiguration.
you can also separate the dev/prod/test environment.
you need to change cluster name configuration
http://www.elasticsearch.org/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/setup-configuration.html
once you have separate clusters just specify them into cluster-name parameter as
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:elasticsearch="http://www.springframework.org/schema/data/elasticsearch"

I am using Apache CXF framework for implementing Rest WebService.I am using Spring 4.3.10 version.Problem I am facing is I am not able to use <jaxrs:server> element.I think there is some change in Spring upgraded version: previously it was configured something like below code snippet:
<jaxrs:server id="userManagerREST" address="/rest/UserManager">
<jaxrs:serviceBeans>
<ref bean="userManagerService"/>
</jaxrs:serviceBeans>
<jaxrs:providers>
<ref bean='jsonProvider' />
</jaxrs:providers>
</jaxrs:server>
When I am using <jaxrs> tag I am getting below exception:
org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.XmlBeanDefinitionStoreException: Line 29 in XML document from ServletContext resource [/WEB-INF/spring/applicationContext.xml] is invalid; nested exception is org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; lineNumber: 29; columnNumber: 67; cvc-complex-type.2.4.c: The matching wildcard is strict, but no declaration can be found for element 'jaxrs:server'.

Please find below my namespace declaration in Spring configuration file:
<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:jaxrs="http://cxf.apache.org/jaxrs"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-4.3.xsd
http://cxf.apache.org/jaxrs http://cxf.apache.org/schemas/jaxrs-common.xsd">
So,as it can be seen from above code snippet I have included jaxrs namespace inspite of that it gave the above error.
But now I found a new tag : <jaxrs:model>.[I got this option in eclipse
inside spring bean configuration file by using Cntrl+Space option].
I want to know its usage.
Anyone can provide any suitable example for this?
I had faced same problem few years back(now I no longer use xml based configuration), I don't remember its eclipse auto selection problem or the file was moved. Anyways problem is your schema location, change it from jaxrs-common.xsd to jaxrs.xsd.
<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:jaxrs="http://cxf.apache.org/jaxrs"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans
http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-4.3.xsd
http://cxf.apache.org/jaxrs http://cxf.apache.org/schemas/jaxrs.xsd">
You can check the both the xsd's in cxf-rt-frontend-jaxrs.jar schemas directory.
I didn't expect to see this even using the latest version of Hibernate. I am using Hibernate version 5.1.0.Final
I am using it with spring and here is the config:
<bean id="sessionFactory" class="org.springframework.orm.hibernate4.LocalSessionFactoryBean"
p:dataSource-ref="mySQLDataSource">
<property name="packagesToScan" value="package.to.scan"/>
<property name="hibernateProperties">
<props>
<prop key="showSql">true</prop>
<prop key="hibernate.dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.MySQL5Dialect</prop>
<prop key="hibernate.current_session_context_class">thread</prop>
</props>
</property>
</bean>
The mySQLDataSource bean:
<bean id="mySQLDataSource" class="org.springframework.jndi.JndiObjectFactoryBean">
<property name="jndiName" value="java:comp/env/jdbc/dbResource"/>
</bean>
The JNDI resource:
<Resource name="jdbc/dbResource"
auth="Container"
type="javax.sql.DataSource"
maxActive="50"
username="root"
password=""
driverClassName="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"
url="jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/dbname"
/>
There is probably a workaround this but I am really interested in knowing what is the standard approach to resolve this problem?

Looks like this issue is happening if the application has no activity with the database for a considerable amount of time (say 12 hours in your case). So it could be an issue related to expired or stale connection issue.
As per this link, MySQL by defaults assumes any connection that has been idle for a longer period, say 8 hours, marks it as inactive and closes it. But the connection pooling mechanism on application end may not be aware of this connection close and results in broken pipe exception at a later point when the app actually uses it.
As suggested in the link please set up with testOnBorrow=true and validationQuery=SELECT 1.
Apart from that, your sessionFactory is still using hibernate4 specific one.
<bean id="sessionFactory" class="org.springframework.orm.hibernate4.LocalSessionFactoryBean"
I believe that could be the issue.
Can you try with hibernate5 specific LocalSessionFactoryBean.
<bean id="sessionFactory" class="org.springframework.orm.hibernate5.LocalSessionFactoryBean"

I believe the error message above is a red herring. Before adding the spring integration dependency to the pom file and having the ftp config file, Tomcat was starting successfully.
I use Java6 and Tomcat6. My FTP config file is:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"

I added dependency in the pom file as follows :
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.integration</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-integration-ftp</artifactId>
<version>2.2.0.RELEASE</version>
</dependency>
Actually Spring Integration requires Spring core version 3.0.5 at least whereas I had it set to 3.0.2. Once I upgraded spring core to 3.0.5, it worked.
I'm starting with Spring and I've just install SpringSource Tool Suite. I'm trying to create a new project with the Spring Template Project. I selected the Simple Spring Hibernate Utility Project option. My created project have errors.
The app-context.xml in src/main/resources/META-INF/spring and OrderPersistenceTests-context.xml in src/test/resources are invalid.
If I run OrderPersistenceTests.java in src/test/java avec Junit, the three functions testSaveAndFind(), testSaveAndGet(), testSaveOrderWithItems() are in errors.
This is the errors that I get :

Is somebody can help me?
Thanks for help...
Check and make sure the folder containing spring.schemas is on your classpath. You may have to add another source folder through project properties to get it on the built classpath.
What is that spring.schemas? is that an xml? If so please check whether that is in classpath and the xml is well formed.
If you are using Maven clear the .m2 folder from your user directory, build the project and that should help.
Hope that helps,
Cheers,
wajid
i have a problem with a small spring project, it worked fine until i tried to add the Validation framework
So i addedd adding the jar: spring-modules-validation0.8.jar
And the following in servlet-context.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:mvc="http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc"
xmlns:context="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context"
xsi:schemaLocation="
http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc/spring-mvc-3.0.xsd
http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-3.0.xsd
http://www.springframework.org/schema/context http://www.springframework.org/schema/context/spring-context-3.0.xsd">
<!-- DispatcherServlet Context: defines this servlet's request-processing infrastructure -->
<!-- Enable annotation-based validation using Bean Validation Framework -->
<!-- Using these instead of vld namespace to prevent Eclipse from complaining -->
<bean id="configurationLoader"
class="org.springmodules.validation.bean.conf.loader.annotation.AnnotationBeanValidationConfigurationLoader"/>
<bean id="validator" class="org.springmodules.validation.bean.BeanValidator" mvc:configurationLoader-ref="configurationLoader"/>
<!-- Load messages -->
<bean id="messageSource"
class="org.springframework.context.support.ResourceBundleMessageSource"
mvc:basenames="errors"/>

<!-- #Controller, #Service, #Configuration, etc. -->
<context:component-scan base-package="controllers" />
<!-- Enables the Spring MVC #Controller programming model -->
<mvc:annotation-driven />
</beans>
it now throws:

I have tried to follow the stacktrace but i cannot find the BeanDefinitionDecorator
Do you have any hints?
Thank you
The spring module validation configurations you have in the servlet-context.xml seem to be the same with the contact-servlet.xml found in this tutorial with the only difference being the namespace of the configurationLoader-ref. Have a look in this tutorial to see the further setup, it has worked for me.
