Do I have to install drivers for Windows7 system? - windows-7

Hi all,
I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question. But I didn't know where else to post this. I have Ubuntu in my laptop. I want to remove it and install Windows 7. My question is, shall I have to install any drivers after installing OS? Also, does Windows7 comes with built in MS Office??

Yeah, normally you need to install drivers by yourself. Some Drivers will be catched by windows update, but normally you have to download the drivers on the manufactor-website and install them. Please check if there are driver availible for windows 7 befor you install it.
Windows 7 have no built in office solution. You have to buy and install microsoft office or your libre oder openoffice.

both. you have to get the correct driver for the machine with matching os.
For example Graphiccarddriver for Radeon m9400 for acer xyz notebook for windows 7 64bit

Update or Fix Windows 10 Lite

I have a problem I need help with. Thanks for everyone's interest.
My computer is using windows pro lite version shared on the online community "Windows 10 Pro 1909 (19H2) Build 18363.476 (Lite Edition) x64 - Nov 2019". It has removed many features. I am needing to re-enable Telnet feature in WINdows Features. But it has been completely removed.
Can someone help me to add Telnet back or is it possible to update windows to full version without reinstalling WINdows.

Hello
I'm runnding xampp with administrator mode.
But I see some red x in service boxes.
What is this?
When I put cursor on it, it shows 'is installed as a windows service?".
What is this?
Is it needed to run xampp?
I am kind of worried since it's red x so something goes wrong or some error are here or not
just install the JDK.
Download the Java SE Development Kit, please click here
If you use windows 64bit please pick Windows x64.
If you use windows 32bit please pick Windows x86.
If you use not windows please choose another. After that, please install on your computer.

How to Install Windows Phone 8 SDK on Windows 7

I have all my workspace and everything set up on Windows 7 but I also want to develop Windows Phone 8 but as stated on Microsoft website that It can not be installed on Windows 7.
Do anybody knows how to install in on Windows 7. I have found a crack but I don't know how to run this. You can get this from here
Please tell me if anybody knows how to install it. here is a link to WP 8 ISO file
Edit:
There could be several reasons to install WP 8 in Windows 7. Like I have purchased a Wndows 7 recently and I don't want to make shift to Windows 8 right now, because I don't feel comfortable with its UI. Its more for a tablet or touch screen PC.
I have set-up all my workspace and other projects on Windows 7, I don't want to waste my time in setting up on Windows 8, I don't even know that how they gona perform on Windows 8. So there are so many genuine reasons.
You can install it by first extracting all the files from the ISO and then overwriting those files with the files from the ZIP. Then you can run the batch file as administrator to do the installation. Most of the packages install on windows 7, but I haven't tested yet how well they work.
Here is a link from developer.nokia.com wiki pages, which explains how to install Windows Phone 8 SDK on a Virtual Machine with Working Emulator
And another link here
AFAIK, it is not possible to directly install WP8 SDK in Windows 7, because WP8 sdk is VS 2012 supported and also its emulator works on a Hyper-V (which is integrated into the Windows 8).

Install IE 8 on a Virtual Box VM?

I'm trying to install ie version 8 in a virtual box. I downloaded several files from microsoft website. One of them after start extracting the show me an language related error all the others said that the .exe file is not a valid Win32 application.
Can anyone help me how to install this??
Thanks
What operating system are you running on your VirtualBox? Because you are getting a Win32 error, I would suggest you are running a 32-bit Windows OS and have downloaded a 64-bit installer.
When downloading from Microsoft, double-check you are downloading a 32-bit installer (32-bit and x86 are essentially the same thing).

Which version of Windows 7 should I install on my development PC?

I am a .net and java deloper. I have an MSDN subscription with access to all editions of the Windows 7 operating system. I am going with a 64 bit installation. Which edition of Windows 7 should I install on my development PC: Professional, Ultimate, Enterprise, Enterprise N, etc.? Thanks in advance.
Put Ultimate on the box and run the others in virtual machines.
If you have access to all versions, I see no reason not to install Ultimate.
As long as your tools run on the OS it shouldn't matter
(btw: I'm running ultimate and it's working out fine)
I think you should use Vista, or even XP for developing your .Net Apps
the reason is your apps have to be backward compatible.
Remember most users still use XP.
And you cant sell your app to an XP user even if your app is very clever, because they cant install it.
And at last .Net is Platform independ , you can use it on which ever windows version you want. (even for Linux)
(excluded windows 3, 98)
