iPython notebook Websocket connection cannot be established - websocket

iPython was working fine until a few hours ago when I had to do a hard shutdown because I was not able to interrupt my kernel. Now opening any notebook gives me the following error:
"WebSocket connection to could not be established. You will NOT be able to run code. Check your network connection or notebook server configuration."
I have the latest version of Chrome and I am only trying to access local notebooks.
The Javascript console gives me this:
Starting WebSockets: [link not allowed by StackOverflow]/737c7279-7fab-467c-9e0f-cba16233e4b5 kernel.js:143
WebSocket connection failed: [link not allowed by StackOverflow]/737c7279-7fab-467c-9e0f-cba16233e4b5 notificationarea.js:129

Try reinstalling your iPython server or creating a new profile for the server

Login to Xcode server stuck, "Unable to perform the request. CFNetwork error: An SSL error has occurred"

I am trying to setup a CI workflow, so created an Xcode server on my local machine, and am trying to create a bot, but cannot get past the login to the server dialog. It simply spins and spins, but errors out.
I started off by setting up an Xcode server on my local machine.
I try to add a login to the server:
But get stuck here (login is masked in the picture):
And if I wait long enough, I get this error message:
I am using Little Snitch and a VPN, but wouldn't this be trying to connect to the local machine and not using the network?

Forbidden access to socket message when running Python 2.7 web service locally on Windows 10

I have a Python 2.7 web service which uses Pyramid libraries. The service works fine on Linux machines, but when run locally on Windows 10 I get the following error when making post requests: "error: [Errno 10013] An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions"
I can make get requests via a browser with no problems. Only post requests via an application seem to result in this error message.
I have tried turning off both Kaspersky anti-virus and the Windows firewall, but I keep getting the same error.
A possible reason could be that the current user account lacks sufficient permissions to bind to the port you have provided (port 80?). Try with a higher port(>6000 or something)
You can specify this configuration in your .ini file under the [server:main] section
For instance,
[server:main]
use = egg:waitress#main
host = 127.0.0.1
port = 6543

Jetbrains 0xDBe: Connecting to SQL Server using Windows Authentication?

Does Jetbrains 0xDBe support logging in to SQL Server with Windows Authentication?
I'm using a Mac running OS X Mavericks and attempting to connect to our corporate staging database over a VPN. Lots to go wrong there...
Right now my URL looks like this:
jdbc:sqlserver://10.11.222.333:12345
I've tried setting integratedSecurity to true, and also tried specifying a domain in the URL:
jdbc:sqlserver://10.11.222.333:12345;domain=MyDomain
No matter what, when I test the connection it just times out with this error:
Connection to Staging failed
java.sql.SQLException: The TCP/IP connection to the host 10.11.222.333, port 12345 has failed. Error: "connect timed out. Verify the connection properties. Make sure that an instance of SQL Server is running on the host and accepting TCP/IP connections at the port. Make sure that TCP connections to the port are not blocked by a firewall.".

Any suggestions?
I was experiencing the same issues but finally found the fix by adding the domain to the jTds driver advanced settings in the 'Manage Data Sources' window.
Then using the following connection string:
jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://<SERVER>:<PORT>;integratedSecurity=true;authenticationScheme=JavaKerberos
or for connecting to a named instance:
jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://<SERVER>;instance=<NAMED_INSTANCE>;integratedSecurity=true;authenticationScheme=JavaKerberos

ColdFusion Builder 3 debugging

I really like the new ColdFusion Builder, but am running into trouble configuring debugging. I've gone through the tutorials on setting up a project and a ColdFusion Server. Everything seems fairly straightforward. I have a standard CF 10 install running on IIS.
Here are my CF Server settings:
Application Server: defaulted to CF+Tomcat Bundle; not sure how to tell if it should be something different
Server home: C:\ColdFusionBuilder3\ColdFusion\cfusion
Document root: C:\inetpub\wwwroot
RDS is enabled, and I am able to start the CF server; however, if I run the project I get a blank page, and I see the error below in the Console. Not sure how to fix it, though. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
[defaultLocal]:Listening for transport dt_socket at address: 6006
[defaultLocal]:(06/10 at 08:53:26) Server is available. Getting server settings.
[defaultLocal]:FATAL ERROR in native method: JDWP No transports initialized, jvmtiError=AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197)
[defaultLocal]:ERROR: transport error 202: bind failed: Address already in use
[defaultLocal]:ERROR: JDWP Transport dt_socket failed to initialize, TRANSPORT_INIT(510)
[defaultLocal]:JDWP exit error AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197): No transports initialized [../../../src/share/back/debugInit.c:750]
I could only get this working by setting it up as a remote server when using IIS since I have coldfusion running as a windows service. I use port 80.
Also, note that CFBuilder 3, which is extremely buggy, forgets your remote server every time you shut down Eclipse. They are supposed to be patching this. I am very disappointed that we spent any money on this garbage software. Unfortunately, there aren't any IDEs that understand ColdFusion 10+ other than text editors such as Sublime.

Enthought Canopy on OSX "Could not connect to authentication server"

After what seemed like a successful renewing of an academic license of Enthought Canopy 1.4.0 installed on OS10.9.2 executing any code would immediately return a crash report that said among other things:
User not logged in: Authentication failed: Authentication error: UNAUTHORIZED.
I did a complete clean re-install and now code runs but starting package manager returns an error:
Could not connect to authentication server. Reason: UNAUTHORIZED
Could not connect to Canopy server.
Please check your network connection.
Package manager will not be able to update or install new packages.
If you are behind a proxy firewall, please check your proxy settings in the Preferences dialog
My network connection seems to be fine and I have moved to another location to get on a completely different network and get the same result and am not aware of any proxy firewall on either network.
