BIRT Reporting: how to access LinkedHashMap in script - birt

While creating BIRT Report, I'm trying to access a LinkedHashMap in report beforeFactory event thro' rhino scripting..Able to print the map. But, when i use any method like size(), the following error is thrown
size not found
var test1 = reportVO.getTest(); // "test" is a LinkedHashMap
log(test1) // --> In the logs, im able to see the LinkedHashMap contents printed
(log test1.size()) // --> this fails.
I have imported the util package.
I read about org.eclipse.birt.core.script.NativeJavaLinkedHashMap. I tried accessing the LinkedHashMap thro' methods of this class also, like
test1.getIds() // Method from NativeJavaLinkedHashMap --> this fails too
getIds not found
Is there a specific way to access LinkedhashMap in script.

Did you used test1.length ? you are now accessing javascript variable instead of java variable

Apache Geode - Creating region on DUnit Based Test Server/Remote Server with same code from client

Once the Function is registered on server side, you can execute it by ID instead of sending the object across the wire (so you won't need to instantiate the function on the client), in which case you'll also avoid the Serialization filter error. As an example, FunctionService.onServers(instance).execute(CreateRegionFunction.ID).

Indeed, for security reasons Geode doesn't allow serializing / deserializing arbitrary classes. Internal Geode distributed tests use the MemberVM and set a special property (serializable-object-filter) to circumvent this problem. Here's an example of how you can achieve that within your own tests.

If the dynamically created region is used by the client application then yes, you should create it, otherwise you won't be able to use it.
As a side note, there's a lot of internal logic implemented by Geode when creating a Region so I wouldn't advice to dynamically create regions on your own. Instead, it would be advisable to use the gfsh create region command directly, or look at how it works internally (see here) and try to re-use that.

Whenever we record any Test case in Test-Complete, it stores all the object in the Naming Repository and then access the same.
This helps test-complete in easily recognisation of object and can improve the speed of test-case, in case there are multiple objects visible on screen

Trying to generate JMeter Test Plan (jmx) With JMeter API : Not able to save CSVDataSet element

I am creating a JMeter jmx file dynamically by using JMeter APIs. I am able to add a ThreadGroup within a TestPlan and a JavaSampler within the ThreadGroup. But when I add a CSVDataSet element within the Java Sampler, it does not get saved properly.
The following code is used to create a new CSVDataSet element

When this is saved using SaveService.saveTree, the final jmx does not contain all the values which were set.

As seen above, only the test name, enabled, and comments are added. The rest of the variables are completely ignored.
Is there something that needs to be set in order to get all the values as expected?
or is this a bug in JMeter? I am using version 2.11

After looking into the JMeter source code, it seems all the properties are set using the setProperty function rather than the individual setter functions. So putting the following code does the job of creating the CSVDataSet element properly.

Not sure why setters are not used in the code, but this seems to be the way to go for now
It is clearly not a bug in JMeter otherwise CSV Data Set could not be saved.
It is probably an issue in the way you build the HashTree, but unless you show the full code, you cannot get help.
By the way, as I said in a previous answer, what you are trying to do to build different tests based on input parameter is not good idea IMHO, the approach will be very fragile towards upcoming versions of JMeter.
JMeter provides ways to do it that you should follow.

How to check null value from Java Method of Tibco ActiveMatrix

I am having a trouble on checking null value from a Java Method component in Tibco ActiveMatrix process.
Basically, I have a Java Method component invoking java to get a billing account, if the return is null, I would like to log the searching criteria - billing account id; otherwise, I will map the object to be XML content...
The problem is while using the following in 'XPath' to check the null object in a transition (Success with condition):

they all return 'false', and then try to map the java object to be XML content, which results in error while billing account is not found.

From what I can tell you cannot check if the return from a Java Method activity is null using XPath. Instead you can create a Java Code activity that takes an ObjectReference as an input parameters and provides a boolean as an output parameter. You can then use code like to following to check if the object is null (object is the input parameter and isnull is the output parameter):
isnull = object == null;

Calling HSQLDB IDENTITY function with CallableStatement to get output

I'm trying to use CallableStatements to get the value of IDENTITY() in HSQLDB from Java JDBC.
I can prepareCall fine. The issue is with registerOutputParameter. I get "parameter index out of range" no matter what index I pass in.
I've tried SQL snippets like "{? = CALL IDENTITY()}" with no luck.
Any clues? Am I completely off track in how to invoke HSQLDB function routines from JDBC?
Instead of using IDENTITY(), use getGeneratedKeys() to retrieve any keys generated by the (insert) statement.
Note that you do need to use one of the Statement.execute... or Connection.prepare... methods that will enable this feature.
