I'm trying to enable keyword sensitive in Joomla 3.2 banners. I turned on search by tag in banner's module. I also added the same tag to banner and article but it doesn't seem to work. I read a lot of tutorials (http://community.joomla.org/blogs/community/652-putting-those-pesky-banners-in-their-place.html) but they seem to relate to previous Joomla versions. Eventually banner doesn't show up. Is there any special option which I should turn on to make it work?

we moved a site for a client a while back that someone else created. Its running on Joomla 1.7.
We want to do some light SEO work for them but I can't for the life of me find the Meta/SEO title field anywhere.
All the support posts I've looked at say its here or there but for me its not. It seems to be know where! In the meta options section when editing an artcile there is a description and keyword field but no title.
Some help would be appreciated. This client can't justify a new website.
Thanks!
Update:
we ended up upgrading this install to 2.5, still couldn't edit the meta titles anywhere. So I installed a plugin which gave me the title field but it had no effect! Can only assume the theme hasn't been put together properly. The conclusion is that its now quicker for us to just move them to WordPress where stuff works properly! :)
I'm working more with Wordpress than Joomla, but I think that you should download an extension if you want to have a meta-title in the pages. For the home page you can change it from Menu - Main menu - Home.
I am looking to customize the wording that displays when there are no articles in a category for a category blog. Right now, Joomla displays "There are no articles in this category. If subcategories display on this page, they may contain articles."
I know how to turn this message off, but I can't seem to find where I can edit the text, or override it. I've searched through all the Joomla files (Find phrase in Dreamweaver in all files) and nothing came up.
Thanks for your help.
You should utilize the Joomla Language Manager under Extension Manager in the Joomla Administrator. Just select Language Override, click New, and search for your phrase.
Here is the Joomla docs for this:
https://docs.joomla.org/Language_Overrides_in_Joomla
This will ensure that when Joomla core is updated you don't loose the change. Otherwise you would need to hack the Joomla core files which is a very bad idea.
I don't see any more sort by (best match etc) or page numbers It's gone and I have no idea why or how I have checked all .xml files they are all correct it's not the issue. What can I check more to fix this? Html files also seem fine I have reindex all nothing!
So you have disabled layered navigation module in admin area. It's not the real "disable", but disable of the module output. All module blocks becomes "hidden". The module rewrites the toolbar block with the sorter and pager, so it also has became invisible.
To restore the block display please enable modules output back.
If you have questions regarding the module, please contact us via support, as this site denies discussion of paid modules.
This is my first project on website development using Joomla. I am trying to make a dashboard implementation. My problem is that whenever I edit my script in article using source tags, the changes are not reflected on my site immediately. I have even tried restarting my Wamp server, but in vain. Any tips that I should follow?
Thanks.
Depending on your Joomla-Version there are different options to check to suppress stripping or filtering of tags like <script> for the frontend. Here are some hints:
First of all your tags could be filtered out client-sided depending on the editor you selected. If you use the standard TinyMCE e.g. go to Extensions - Plugins - TinyMCE where you will find a list of prohibited Elements which may include script. Be exactly sure what you do though, always check who should be allowed to enter script tags in an article, this is almost always a major security risk if anybody else like you as an administrator has the right to use them. So another option could be to just set the editor for your administrator/author accout to plain text and leave TinyMCE untouched.
Another filtering is done server-sided by joomla itself which can be controlled in "Global Configuration" -> "Text filter". After a standard installation all groups will use Default Black List filtering which includes removing script tags. Here you could define "No Filtering" for the Super User group e.g.
Again, all this depends on your Joomla-Version (my examples are referring to 2.5) and are hints to get around the issue but without knowing your security concept.
I'm wondering how in PyroCMS I can add a custom field to a page. Ideally I would like to have an image area at the top of the layout, and have a custom field in pyro that would allow someone to populate that image from the pages module. I realize that there are some image plugins that allow me to attach images to pages, but I would like to be able to add the images directly into the page in the admin (as well as other custom fields for the pages). Even on a separate tab would be fine with me. I'm fine building something if someone can point me in the right direction.
Currently if you want to add a custom field to a page you have to hack the module. This is obviously not ideal and im not really suggesting it, but I had to do it for http://tedco.org/business to add a "Subtitle" field to each page.
2.2/develop is having its Pages and Blogs moved over to Streams, so you can add custom fields to all pages globally, meaning you can add an image in if you like, or append a US State for some reason, or add a slider. Whipee!
So right now: Hack it or wait. 2.2/develop will have your feature in a week or two.
I'm not sure you can do this directly from the pages module yet or not without some customization (possible hacking) though, I just asked and will update if possible.
In the meantime this might be helpful:
Consider looking into PyroStreams. for this though, it will require the Pro version of PyroCMS or you can purchase it from Parse19 directly.
You might find this article helpful about organization and page layouts.
Here is an article called Dynamic Pages with PyroCMS and PyroStreams though, it's a bit outdated now.
You may also make use of the gallery module, which is free though, I'm not sure this will meet your needs.
