I am using OCLint on an Objective C project to obtain a SonarQube profile.
Now my IOS Objective C project contains a src directory with multiple sub src directories. In my sonar-project.properties file there is a following entry
sonar.sources=MySrcFolder/
Now within this src folder i want to run the sonar profile on multiple subfolders and exclude some third party src folders. Can anyone help me with this ? As it stands now, sonar runs the profile on all src in any of the above folders subfolders ?
You can do it only with sonar.sources property or with the sonar.exclusions and sonar.inclusions properties.
Example:
MySrcFolder
src1
src2
src3
src4
If you want to analyze only src1 and src3 then,
1) sonar.sources=MySrcFolder/src1,MySrcFolder/src3
OR
2)
sonar.sources=MySrcFolder
sonar.exclusions=src2/**,src4/**
OR
3)
sonar.sources=MySrcFolder
sonar.inclusions=src1/**,src3/**
Following rules are applied in the exclusions and inclusions properties:
* Match zero or more characters
** Match zero or more directories
? Match a single character
file: Prefix to define a pattern based on absolute path

Add below lines to sonar-scanner-v.x.x/conf/sonar-scanner.properties file. Use
Comma-separated paths to analysis multiple modules or projects.
sonar.sources= mainDir/subDir/src, mainDir/subDir/subDir/src,...
Or
Set base directory with **sonar.projectBaseDir** param.
Thanks to the param, you can give relative path to sonar.sources's params.
Then
Run sonar-scanner.bat file in mainDir or root in directory of above sources.

I'm new to sphinx and I need to pass a value from conf.py to my rst files. Is this possible from within sphinx?
My use case is the following: I want to include code snippets that are generated along with the documentation. The problem is that the files reside in a build directory, and I have no way of knowing the relative path between the source and build directory.
index.rst:

The conf.py is generated at compile time and contains the path to the build directory.
I have a multi-project gradle project with following directory structure:
+ project_root
+ module1
+ src
build.gradle
+ module2
+ src
build.gradle
+ web
..
build.gradle
settings.gradle
In module1/build.gradle among other things I have specified:
compileKotlin2Js.kotlinOptions {
outputFile = "web/script.js"
}
It is a special Kotlin JS setting that specifies output file path of compiled JS file.
Now my problem is, that when I build the whole project (project_root/build.gradle) the file ends up in the right directory (project_root/web), but when I accidentally run build on the module alone the file is saved in module directory (project_root/module1/web).
How can I fix paths in my build scripts, so file output will be saved in exactly the same directory no matter which build script I run (without specifying full path, I want a relative path)?
I don't know what Gradle plugin requires the path parameter in your code example, but all regular (non-3rd-party) Gradle plugins evaluate path parameters via Project.files(Object...) to avoid different locations when calling Gradle from various working directories.
I would suggest to use the above method (or its single file version Project.file(Object)) as well. You can even omit the project part, because the build.gradle file gets executed in the project scope:
compileKotlin2Js.kotlinOptions {
outputFile = file('web/script.js')
}
This will always evaluate the path relative to the project directory of the project your build.gradle belongs to. To evaluate a file relative to the project directory of the root project, use rootProject.files(Object...), for a path relative to the project directory of a subproject or any project in the build, use project(':path:to:project').files(Object...).
I have a TeamCity (9.0.2) build configuration which contains the following artefact path pattern:
App\Agent\**\bin\%env.Configuration%\** => Deployment\AgentBuildPackage.%env.ApplicationVersion.EMX%.%system.build.number%.zip
which will create a file named something like AgentBuildPackage.4.5.0.185.zip in an artefact folder named Deployment
The current structure is like this:

MyFirstServiceFolder/
bin/
Debug|Release/

The artefact archive contains all the folders it finds under App\Agent which is great. What I can't figure out is how to flatten those individual folders so they no longer contain the /bin/Release sub-folders.
What I want is
Deployment/
AgentBuildPackage.4.5.0.185.zip/
MyFirstServiceFolder/
All the Files

You can specify target folders within your target archive by using the ! character after the name of the .zip file. Like this:
folderA\** => output.zip!/afolder/
Depending on how many service folders you have, this could be quite verbose, as you'll need to do it for each one, but it should do what you've described:
App\Agent\MyFirstServiceFolder\bin\%env.Configuration%\** => Deployment\AgentBuildPackage.%env.ApplicationVersion.EMX%.%system.build.number%.zip!/MyFirstServiceFolder/

I want to run Sonar Runner only on some selected files only. I'm using SonarRunner Ant.
My project directory structure is :

Now I want to run Sonar Runner only on hello.java file.
sonar.sources=../../../MyProject/src // takes the source directory
sonar.sources=../../../MyProject/src/java/A/hello.java didn't work
sonar.exclusions=**/**/*.java // excludes all java files
// now I want to include only hello.java file
// didn't find any parameter for inclusion, but tried the following
sonar.inclusions=hello.java // didn't work
sonar.inclusions=java/A/hello.java // didn't work
Referred this article for analysis parameters.
One solution which crossed my mind is : exclusion of all the files but the required ones.
But here the structure is just a small part. In real I have more than 250 java files, and want to generate report for, say, 10 files only. Then, by this approach, excluding 240+ files doesn't look a good idea.
Is there anyway to generate sonar report on selected files, other than the mentioned approach?
If you're looking for specific files, you might try the same syntax as is listed to explicitly exclude files (Narrowing the Focus - at the bottom)

To define an absolute path, start the pattern with "file:"

I have created a Sub project which just prints "Hello World". My goal is to create a C file inside the same subproject but within a folder named "src", also I want to create a H file within a folder named "include".
The H file contains only one function declaration "void printContent();" and the C file contains its definition which prints "Hello Buddy".
I added the C file inside the Source Files section of Sub project and added the H file inside the Header File Section, but when I compile the subproject and try to deploy it on to an emulator, I got an error.

I tried to configure the subproject by providing the below lines in the sources file of every Sub project.
INCLUDES= include/
But nothing changed and the problem still persists.
In wince subproject, sub folders are treated differently in the source file layout.
Rule No.1 You can't have both source and dirs files in the same folder.
So you either use one folder, or use several sub folders, then the root folder is clean and have one dirs file and several folders, no source file.
Rule No. 2 Each sub folder should have both source and makefile
You can copy and then edit the source file, the makefile will always be the same.
Ok, if you are going to use subfolder just to make the folder structure cleaner, my suggestion is that you create 2 subprojects, one is the main subproject; the other includes all your src files and its type is set to be static library. Then you can link to the static .lib file just as you are including them as in a subfolder. Of cource you need to set the additional include folder and input library.
