Magento - I deleted a website by accident - magento

I was going to delete a store view for a particular language in Magento.
I deleted the website view by accident. Luckily I made a back-up just moments before. The tables 'core_config_data' and 'core_websites' have been restored and it seems the website is working properly.
However I need to be 100% sure that no other data is missing. Magento does state:
'Removing a website does not lead to the removal of the information associated with (eg categories, products, etc.), but the removal can not be undone. We recommend that you back up your database before performing the removal.'
I need to know in which tables data is removed when you deleted a website view?

The safest is to restore your full database. If you delete a website all the stores associated to it are deleted and so all all the product values set for those specific store views.
For example if you had a product named 'Something' but on a store view from the website you delete it had the name 'Something else' then you will lose this. If you restored only the store views the name of that product on the specific store view will be 'Something'.

Where is Magento's data for custom modules in admin panel contained?

I made a module for admin panel magento and added fields.
All fields (text, textarea, etc) and their values are showing correctly. When I save it, they are also getting saved.
I cleared session, cookies and browser history and all. The values are still there. That means values getting saved in database.
But since I didn't provide any database name, I don't know where those values are persisted.
Can anyone tell me where the data is persisted?
Magento takes care of persisting the admin configuration automatically. The field values are stored in the core_config_data table.

Magento Products are not listed on fronend

I downloaded a old magento site and installed it on my local server.
My admin panel is working perfect but products are not listed in frontend.
Links on the front end page are also not working.
When you say that you 'downloaded an old magento site', do you mean that you just copied down the folder structure?
If so, this won't have copied the product database, which is an entirely separate entity to the php/js/html/css that comprises the file structure.
Try reindexing and clearing the cache. Also, did you make sure the Base urls were updated in core_config_data database table?

add custom image field for custom options in magento

I am working on magento 1.9 version.I want to add a custom image field in drop down of custom options.
I added a text field using following guide
http://magento.ikantam.com/qa/how-add-custom-attributes-custom-options
which is working fine.but when I add a file field then it shows in admin but not save image field value in database.
please help me to solve this.
Neeraj,
Did you specifically click "flush cache storage" By following this guide and adding new tables directly to the database, Magento already has this record in cache. By flushing cache storage, you will allow magento to recognize the new structure and be able to save the record. I have accidentally forgotten to do this quite a few times and you end up with the inability to save a record even though your structure is there.

Magento enterprise upsell products missing after updating to 1.12

We have recently updated a Magento site to version 1.12. Now the site wont retrieve up-sell products to product details page anymore. No custom code changes committed and no target rules specified. Still the up-sell product relations are visible in back end and in the catalog_product_link table as well. But I always get an empty result set to template\targetrule\catalog\product\list\upsell.phtml.
Anyone came across a problem like this?
Are there some other conditions that needs be satisfied in order to show up-sell products?
May by my database update scripts haven't run correctly. If so what are the tables/modules I should have a look at?
Did you run reindexing.
For product collections flat tables are used. This needs reindexing.
Also make sure you clear your cache after reiundexing.

My client can't see any of products - Magento

I am having a weird situation. I worked on a magneto ecommerce website. My friends and I can see the products on the website, but only my client can't see any of them.
I suspected magento cache, so I refreshed and disabled all the caches. My client still can't see all the products. I made him to clear browser cache. It didn't work as well. I also let him use FF or Safari. He still can't see the products.
What is the problem??? I can't try any other things now...
In addition to checking multiple websites, are you logged in or do you have a specific customer group? Magento allows you to show products only to certain customers. Check to make sure that as a logged-out, anonymous user, you can see the products.
Hope that helps,
Joe
Have you configured multiple stores, websites or store views in your Magento instance? Whether or not Magento displays a product depends on a lot of settings, but if one user can, and another user cannot see them, it's most likely related to which store view they are accessing.
The store view Magento is showing isn't always determined by the URL alone, there is also a setting which is stored in the cookie and can be changed via a dropdown (in the default templates anyway).
Stores are configured via System > Manage Stores. If you have multiple rows in there you have multiple store views (or websites or stores).
