Visual Studio: Disable Auto Copy text on doubleclicking inside of it - visual-studio-2010

I don't know how this was turned on, when I double click inside a word it's auto copied to the clipboard in the Visual Studio IDE (it occurs with ANY filetype).
I looked through options for Resharper and Visual Studio and found nothing that adresses it.
Any insight? The only plugin I use is resharper and I suspended it but no dice.

Is it happening in visual studio only or in other programs also?
Try it in notepad. If it is happening in notepad also then there might be some other software which is causing this.

How can I disable this pop-up that appears during hover in the Visual Studio editor?

I've already turned off many options in Visual Studio 2017, but I can't suppress this annoying pop-up. (Not this specific one, but all of them, for all the API's)
Can someone please show me the setting I need?
Check this old post How do I turn off code tooltips in Visual Studio 2010. In it a workaround is provided but you will probably make a new extension from the source for it to work in Visual Studio 2017.
Looks like there is no setting for this except for the C/C++ language.

Visual Studio 2013 Editor Window Does Not Render

When I launch Visual Studio, the editor window does not render. Nor do the contents of the Output panel, or Find Results.
... I've tried restarting Visual Studio. I've tried opening different solutions. I've tried restarting my computer. I've tried searching for a solution; hard to think of the search terms to use, but I tried anyway and found nothing helpful.

Ctrl-Shift-V not working in Windows 8 and Visual Studio 2013?

I was using VS 2012 in Windows 7. Yesterday, I installed Windows 8 and installed Visual Studio 2013.
And i can not use Ctrl-Shift-V keys for Cycle Clipboard Ring. I have tried to assume manually Ctrl-Shift-V keys for Cycle Clipboard Ring in Tools\Options\Keyboard menu. Still not working.
[SOLVED]- I have tried it in Design Window. It works fine in Code window.
Open up the Visual Studio Keyboard settings and make sure that the binding is setup correctly. You might have accidentally selected a different template the fist time you launched Visual Studio.
In my C# 2005 bindings, it's available. You might have to reset the mapping scheme and restart Visual Studio.
There might be a add-on, like Resharper that's interfering with the keybindings.
The same story on Win7 and VS2013.
In my case helped only removing ReSharper.ReSharper_PasteMultiple shortcut.
Thanks to the thread:
Visual Studio: ctrl+shift+v opens clipboard ring window I've coped with that.
ReSharper had been turned off nonetheless I had to totally remove the ReSharper's shortcut repeatedly pressing "Remove" (it was switching stacked values).

Debugger Settings Change Between Visual Studio Instances

I having the most annoying problem with Visual Studio 2012 settings. Every time I close and re-open Visual Studio I find the Just My Code debugger setting disabled. No matter how many times I enable it, it is always disabled the next time I open the IDE.
Any idea how this could be occurring? All the other settings seem to persist well. It's only the Just My Code setting that's changing.
Well, I found the problem.
I have the .NET Reflector Plug-In installed in Visual Studio and it apparently doesn't like "Just My Code" so it disables it on start up.

How to disable Style Cop visual studio extension?

How to disable the Style Cop visual studio extension? It's not listed in Tools / Extensions or in Tools / Add-in manager
I had the same issue: I uninstalled it using Add/Remove programs and got the expected error, when I opened Visual Studio next time. Still after hiding this error message, the StyleCop entries remained in my context menus.
After some research, I found a solution to remove all remains by running devenv.exe /setup on the command prompt. You must run the console elevated and you might have to switch to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE folder (or similar; depending on your system) in order to run the command.
Remember to remove the assotiated Code Cleanup profile if you are using ReSharper.

You can't, StyleCop deliberately hides itself from the uninstall menu in Visual Studio.
You can uninstall it in Add/Remove programs. You might get an error the next time you open Visual Studio but it will be gone after that.
why it happens is : mostly because you uninstalled the style-cop while visual studio was open
how to fix it
remove the registry keys
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0_Config\InstalledProducts\StyleCop
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0_Config\Packages{629EB7CC-69C2-43AC-9BC9-482B0F810C4E}
OR
reinstall & then uninstall (make sure your visual studio is closed during this process)
if you are using resharper
you would need to reset the Code Cleanup Profile to factory defualt to get rid of style-cop completely.
I had the same issue. I have already uninstalled it from Visual Studio by ReSharper Extension Manager and it there was under the right click menu still when I click any projects on Solution Explorer.
This way will solve the problem:
Steps:
Remove the StyleCop by Add/Remove Programs on control panel
If you have already uninstalled the StyleCop, install once again by ReSharper extension manager.(There will be many error at the first opening Visual Studio after the styleCop uninstall process. don't worry about it, press enter all)
Then Remove it by Resharper extension manager again.
I had the VS15 StyleCop plug-in installed and later added the ReSharper extension on top.
I removed the extension from ReSharper, then uninstalled StyleCop via Control Panel Add/Remove Programs and then let CCleaner run with registry clean-up.
The StyleCop entries have disappeared from the menus and the billions of squiggly lines have as well.
The easiest way is to install "StyleCop" extension from Visual Studio Marketplace. Which also can be found from the link :
https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=ChrisDahlberg.StyleCop
Now right click your project and click on "StyleCop Settings", there you you can disable or customize the rules.
