Does anyone know if it's possible to deploy to Parse.com hosting from CloudBees, Travis, or circle?
I'm aware of the commandline tool but I'm not sure how to integrate it with CI or if there is any other way.
I've found a solution that have worked well for me. Using travis-ci.com you can set it up to work with parse.com and github. Users commit to master branch and the code is auto deployed to Parse.com. Basically your credentials are encrypted using Travis's Ruby script (which can be found here: http://docs.travis-ci.com/user/encryption-keys/ . Once you're keys are made, you setup a .yml config file that, on travis downloads the parse sdk in a virtual environment, uses the hashed credentials to login to parse and then runs the parse deploy function resulting in a push to parse.

I understand the process of local > staging > production deployment, although I've come across one issue which I have a solution, but it doesn't feel like it's the correct method.
I have a production .env on the server and a local .env for local development which is all fine for storing my environment variables. Although, I am using Stripe API and have testing API keys locally and live API keys for production.
My Stripe public key gets pulled into public.app.js the Vue/Inertia compilation using the MIX_ prefix in my .env. I first push this to GitHub and then Deploy this to Laravel Forge where in my deploy script it runs yarn prod, pulling in the live Stripe public API key once compiled by the server.
Basically, what I am asking is: Is there a standard deployment process where you compile production ready files locally pulling the correct API keys and push to GitHub, or is there a better way which removes the need of compiling assets on the server?
I have a Golang app running on Google Cloud App Engine that I can update manually with "gcloud app deploy" but I cannot figure out how to schedule automatic redeployments. I'm assuming I have to use cron.yaml, but then I'm confused about what url to use. Basically it's just a web app with one main index.html page with changing content, and I would like to schedule automatic redeployments... how do I have to go about that?
If you want to automatically re-deploy your app when the code changes, you need what's called CI/CD (Continuous integration/deployment). What a CI does is, for each new commit to your repository, check out the new code and run a test script. If all the tests pass (or if you don't have any tests at all), the CI server can then deploy your code to App Engine, all automatically.
One free (for open-source projects) CI provider is Travis CI. To configure it, you need to make an account with Travis, and a file called .travis.yml in the root of your repository. To set up App Engine deploys, you can follow this guide to set up a service account and add the encrypted file to your repo. It will run a gcloud app deploy from a container on their servers, whenever you push code to a certain branch (master by default) in your repo.
Another option, which avoids setting up CI at all, is to simply change your app to generate the dynamic parts of the page when it gets requested. Reading the documentation for html/template would point you in the right direction.
I am developing a project in laravel 5.4. I have repository on Bitbucket. Now I want to setup Bitbucket Pipelines so I can test when anybody commit. I think I need a suitable Docker Image for laravel, I tried some images but they generate errors. Also I want to setup SSH key agent so Whenever I commit in production branch it deploys on server.
I searched a lot on internet to do these things but I could not find anything, If you share any detailed tutorial or something like this it will be helpful.

I'm working to revive an app that was originally hosted on Parse. I have access to a Bitbucket with the app code but the database itself was not migrated before Parse.com shut down. I would like to run the app through Parse Server (using mlab and heroku) but all documentation I've found online requires use of the Parse migration tool (Which is no longer available).
I understand that I can use the Parse Server example project on github and paste in my own app code to set up my app. Do I do paste in my code before or after deploying to Heroku/mlab? Also, which files should I keep from the parse-server-example and which should I delete? Are there other steps I should be aware of that become necessary without access to the Parse migration tool?
Unfortunately you can't migrate your database off of the Parse.com hosted service after January 30th, 2017.
Since you don't have a database to migrate, you can start a new Parse Server project from scratch. You can just follow the Getting Started With Heroku + mLab Development steps on the parse-server-example project, and add any existing cloud functions to the /cloud directory once you've cloned the project.
I have been trying to deploy from a GitHub repository to Heroku. For pushing my changes to GitHub I am using Mac UI Client for GitHub.
Now in the heroku app setup, I changed at https://dashboard.heroku.com/apps/myapp/settings . Here I made changes in option GitHub Rep (Link your app to a GitHub repository to see commit diffs in the activity log.). I added as my github-user/repository-name
Now when i use myappname.heroky.com I am redirected to a default page which says :
Heroku | Welcome to your new app! Refer to the documentation if you
need help deploying.
In the documentation it is all commands which is going over me since i use Github UI tool.
Any idea if this can be deployed w/o using the commands?
I am asking this particular thing, since last time I used AppHarbor and it simply pulled my github rep w/o any hiccups.
Adding your GitHub repo to the Heroku app settings will not set up automatic deployments. It just allows Heroku to provide commit information in the app logs.
To achieve what you are looking for, you need to set up continuous deployment (or "CD"). The easiest way to do this is with a continuous integration (or "CI") solution.
One common CI server is Jenkins, though that will require you to set it up manually. Nowadays, there are several automated CI/CD services you can take advantage of, including Travis, CircleCI, Codeship, Snap. All of them have options to automatically deploy to Heroku after building your app (which can be trigger by a push to GitHub).
