how can i do that with codeigniter,
or can someone advice technic or share a link to be learn,
Thanks for helping me ,

In CodeIgnitor, The URL usually will be example.com/index.php/news/article/1.
you can use POST/GET method to send data to any public function in the controller. In the controller function, you can get the POST data using either $_POST or $this->input->post(); . If its GET method, you can use $this->uri->segment(SEGMENT NO);

CodeIgniter URL Encryption

All Viewers I am New in Codeigniter, I need your guide to done my work, I want to Encrypted full URL like below example.
For example this is my url www.example.com & my controller is home, so full url is www.example.com/home
now I want to encrypted all controller, function like below
www.example.com/5115784bef2514430e7f74d9a71d4142a942efb0f7cc428626bda7633326f9d015fbacc60d93cd6b858f9b6e05c1e56263acb24297cecc720467eb4f222d81e5hdn5B
I can encrypted & decrypted the text well, but I just don't get how can I decrypted from url & make understand which controller or function its called, I want to decrypted everything after base_url.
please don't suggest me about using common controller, because I already know that & anyhow common controller its hide everything so its not required the encryption as I believe.
Waiting for your positive response, hopefully my problem will be solve soon. T.I.A
Well i never encrypt any URL before but you can use a php function url_encode
And "str_replace" function.
the reason for using "str_replace" beacause url_encode only encode special character in URL.
Hope I help some.
Try the code below.
urlencode(str_replace("your_domain.com/YourCOntrollerName/YourMethodName" , "SM5ah52" , yor_domain.com . "YourCOntrollerName/YourMethodName/YOuData"));
If not this. There is an library in CI Framework called Encryption.
You can get help from there Encryption.
Go with URI Routing and define one controller to decode whatever you are passing, and call proper controller / method from it.
You can use URI Routing with regular expressions.
$route["other_controllers/method"] = "other_controllers/method"; //you can add this kind of lines to not to affect other controllers
$route["([a-zA-Z0-9]+)"] = "home/decrypt/$1";
In the home controller, You can
Redirect to the page
Or
Load a view
public function decrypt($token){
//geting the page according to the token from database.
$desired_page = $this->some_model->get_page($token);
//if you want to redirect
redirect($desired_page);
//if you want to load a view
$this->load->view($desired_page);
}

request post open cart to codeigniter

I am trying to find out what is similar to the open cart $this->request->post['permission'] method and what is the same in codeigniter.
I know you have $this->input->post(); which is posting data.
But then I think you have $this->input->get();
Would the input get in codeigniter be closest to $this->request->post['permission']
In every request codeIgniter wraps the $_POST array and you can get values by calling $this->input->post('myKey'). And the same behaviour with $_GET array - $this->input->get('myKey').
So, if you want to get values of posted data, you need to call $this->input->post('myKey').

Cakephp -how to use and where to put debug($var) in $this?

I want to know the value of the associative array $this in cakephp, base on my research I could use debug($this);
however I don't know where to put it, model, view or controller, and I don't know where to see the result of debug($this);.
I'm trying to get the value of $this so that I can use them in making a rest api using json_encode.
To elaborate the process
Content or what is inside of $this(part which I want to see)
json_encode
ajax
any help suggestions or opinions is highly appreciated

Use CodeIgniter form validation in a view

I have footer view that's included on all my pages which contains a form. I would like to be able to make use of CI's form validation library to validate the form. Is that possible?
Currently the form posts back to the current page using the PHP_SELF environment variable. I don't want to get it to post to a controller because when validation fails it loads the controller name in the address bar, which is not the desired behaviour.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks,
Gaz
One way, whilst far from ideal, would be to create a "contact" function in every controller. This could be in the form of a library/helper.
CI doesn't natively let you call one controller from another, although I believe there are extensions that enable this.
Another option would be an AJAX call instead, which would allow you to post to a generic controller, validate etc whilst remaining on the current page.
In this use case, I would definitely go for an AJAX call to a generic controller. This allows you to show errors even before submitting in the origin page.
Another way (slightly more complex), involves posting your form data to a generic controller method, passing it a hidden input containing the current URL.
The generic controller method handling your form can then redirect to the page on which the user submitted the form, passing it the validation errors or a success message using flash session variables: $this->session->set_flashdata('errors',validation_errors()) might do the trick (untested)
The good thing about this is that you can use the generic form-handling method for both the ajax case (suppressing the redirect) and the non-ajax case
AJAX would be best, just like everyone else says.
I would redirect the form to one function in one controller, you could make a controller just for the form itself. Then have a hidden value with the return URL. As far as errors go you could send them back with flashdata.
Just remember to never copy paste code, it a bad practice and guarantees bugs.
//make sure you load the proper model
if ($this->form_validation->run() == FALSE){
// invalid
$redirect = $this->input->post('url');
$this->session->set_flashdata('errors',validation_errors());
redirect($redirect);
} else {
/*
success, do what you want here
*/
redirect('send them where ever');
}

Can I have multiple inputs in a form in CodeIgniter URL?

I know that CodeIgniter already elegantly handles URL's. What I have is a form with multiple elements (date, keyword, location = optional). Is it possible to set up CI to create a URL that looks like:
mysite.com/class/function/date/keyword?
If you are using CodeIgniter's form helper, it sends your form data via POST, so you can't easily have your field's value displayed in the url.
What you could have, though, is a controller method that collects your form data and redirects to the url you want.
If you need further clarification, please let me know.
Yes, you can use the anchor function by passing the relevant info to it.
