I am trying to import a mysql table from mysql server to elasticsearch on my MAC OSX Mavericks.
I have installed elasticsearch 1.3.1 with homebrew
Installed jdbc-river 1.3.0.4 with elasticsearch plugin --install
Installed jdk 1.7.0_67
Downloaded mysql-connector-java-5.1.28-bin.jar into
$ES_HOME/plugins/jdbc (I had to create the folders 'plugins' and
'jdbc' myself) and gave chmod 777 permission for the .jar file.
Then I ran ./bin/elasticsearch and called this command in postman in order to create a river:
PUT request.

I have followed many posts in google to try and find the cause of the problem, does anyone have any idea what I am missing?
And if anyone knows if this procedure can be more automatic to deploy like having some kind of package manager (like npm for node.js).

So the clue to your problem is that you had to create the folders "plugins" and "jdbc" in step 4. Both of those folders are created when you install the mysql river plugin. I can see that the mysql river plugin installed correctly in your error message - it's running but it is unable to find the jdbc driver.
Look on your drive for the correct folder - $ES_HOME should have the following folders in it:
bin
config
data
lib
logs
plugins
If it does not then $ES_HOME is set incorrectly. Copy your jdbc driver as directed into the correct folder and you should be able to resolve this problem.

I'm having trouble using the GeoMondrian Workbench on my Ubuntu 18.04 LTS system. I've followed the installation instructions and have installed the following:
Oracle Java 8
PostgreSQL 9.5
PostGIS 2.5
I've downloaded the GeoMondrian Workbench and the "simple_geofoodmart.sql" file, created a database, and passed the necessary parameters to the workbench.
However, when I try to open the "simple_geofoodmart.xml" schema file, I get the following error:

Additionally, when I try to use an MDX query, I get the following error:

I've installed Oracle Instant Client 64 bits, when connecting with SchemaSpy I get the error message below.
PLEASE NOTE: Both these files exist
C:\app\instantclient_12_1\ojdbc6.jar
C:\app\instantclient_12_1\ocijdbc12.dll
And "C:\app\instantclient_12_1\" is in the PATH.
I've tried C:\app\instantclient_12_1\ojdbc7.jar as well, same result.
Windows 7 64 bits.
Would greatly appreciate any help from anyone who got this to work correctly.

Make sure you have the following available on your machine:
The lastest version from schemaspy.org, the following will describe the process for schemaspy-6.0.0-rc1.
The Oracle JDBC thin driver, otherwise you'll have to mess around with Oracle OCI. You can get it from Oracle Database 12.1.0.2 JDBC Driver & UCP Downloads
SchemaSpy uses GraphViz to generate the diagrams, get it from graphviz.org. You'll need to update you PATH variable, add C:\Program Files (x86)\Graphviz2.38\bin to it (make sure the version fits the one you downloaded).
Database Type
Note, SchemaSpy supports Oracle OCI (-t ora) and Oracle Thin (-t orathin) as database types. To get the list of available database types:

Configuration
You can put most configuration parameters into a file called schemaspy.properties, put this file into the same directory as schemaspy-6.0.0-rc1.jar.

I am trying to deploy a web application using WSAdmin tool. But it is throwing an error.
JACl script that I am using is :

Error I am getting is:
com.ibm.ws.scripting.ScriptingException: WASX7109E: Insufficient data for install task "MapResRefToEJB
ADMA0007E: A validation error occurred in task Mapping resource references to resources. The Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) name is not specified for resource reference jdbc/app_DB in module SampleApp with EJB name.
From the error above I understand that I need to configure my JNDI with -MapResRefToEJB. I tried to understand this option but getting too confused.
Can anyone help me to resolve this issue?
These errors appear to be caused by the MapResRefToEJB option in
the wsadmin command not being set correctly, or the resource it is pointing to
not existing correctly in the web.xml file.

Following an install of Eclipse 3.7.2 on my Ubuntu 12.04 development machine, I have been unable to execute any ODI packages/interfaces/procedures. On execution (for both simulated and actual runs), an error is thrown (java trace below). I am not sure if it's anything to do with the Eclipse install, but it seems likely. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

After digging around for about a day on this issue, I brazenly tried running ODI as the root user on the off chance that this was a permissions issue. I started ODI from the command line (using 'bash odi') for greater verbosity, and it loaded without the error mentioned above. Something gave me the impression that this wasn't a permissions issue, but one related to the user settings.
To rectify the issue, I removed my user's odi settings folder (renaming it, for safety):
mv ~/.odi ~/.backup_odi
Then I started ODI from the terminal under my own user (i.e. not root) - there were no errors! None of my connections were available in the new settings folder though. This I fixed by closing ODI and entering the following:
cp ~/.backup_odi/oracledi/snps_login_work.xml ~/.odi/oracledi/
If anybody else encounters this issue, I hope you find this post quicker than it took me to fix it!
org.apache.bsf.BSFException: unable to load language: beanshell
The exception was thrown because bsh-2.Ob4.jar was not in the classpath and it is a dependent jar of bsf.jar
Does anyone know about HPCC/HDFS connector.we are using both HPCC and HADOOP.There is one utility(HPCC/HDFS connector) developed by HPCC which allows HPCC cluster to acess HDFS data
i have installed the connector but when i run the program to acess data from hdfs it gives error as libhdfs.so.0 doesn't exist.
I tried to build libhdfs.so using command
ant compile-libhdfs -Dlibhdfs=1
its giving me error as
target "compile-libhdfs" does not exist in the project "hadoop"
i used one more command
ant compile-c++-libhdfs -Dlibhdfs=1
its giving error as

Chhaya, you might not need to build libhdfs.so, depending on how you installed hadoop, you might already have it.
Check in HADOOP_LOCATION/c++/Linux-<arch>/lib/libhdfs.so, where HADOOP_LOCATION is your hadoop install location, and arch is the machine’s architecture (i386-32 or amd64-64).
Once you locate the lib, make sure the H2H connector is configured correctly (see page 4 here).
It's just a matter of updating the HADOOP_LOCATION var in the config file:
/opt/HPCCSystems/hdfsconnector.conf
