I have a file, which needs to have 90 modals with lots of long texts, because I need to create a modal when a link is clicked.
index.php

<script src="inc/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<script>
$(function(){
$('a').click(function(){
var link = $('#name').html(); // I need sent this to my calculator file
$.ajax({
url : "result.php",
type : "post",
dataType:"text",
data : {
name: link
},
success : function (a){
$('#result').html(a);
}
});
});
});
</script>
<div id="result"></div>
I need this text for php script
</body>
</html>
resuilt.php
/* I used PHP becase i need more functions, this only a example how
* to creat and call a modal after click on a link.
*/
function create_modal($modal_ID = 'myModal')
{
return "<div class='modal fade' id='$modal_ID' tabindex='-1' role='dialog' aria-labelledby='myModalLabel' aria-hidden='true'>
<div class='modal-dialog'>
<div class='modal-content'>
<div class='modal-header'>
<button type='button' class='close' data-dismiss='modal'><span aria-hidden='true'>×</span><span class='sr-only'>Close</span></button>
<h4 class='modal-title' id='myModalLabel'>Nhãn</h4>
</div>
<div class='modal-body'>
Nội dung
</div>
<div class='modal-footer'>
<button type='button' class='btn btn-default' data-dismiss='modal'>Close</button>
<button type='button' class='btn btn-primary'>Save changes</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>";
}
echo create_modal();
?>
The result is, I need to click on the link two times to show my modal. But it can't close or does anything.
Where did it go wrong? And is there any way to make my idea better?
you can add
success : function (a){
$('#result').html(a);
$('#myModal').modal('show');
}
just add $('#myModal').modal('show'); when ajax load your modal in #result
I don't think 90 modals is a good idea.
Try saving data maybe in a databas.
Assign your links different ids.
Use jquery to listen to click events
Get data from your server
Populate modal with values from the server.
Check this stack overflow link.
Let me know if you need help
I am diving in the deep end of this magic world of HTML. I have the CKEditor woring and myFunction produces the alert. I need to get the HTML of the text in the editor.
I got this from another post:
CKEDITOR.instances.textarea.on( 'instanceReady', function( instanceReadyEventObj )
{
var editorInstanceData = CKEDITOR.instances.textarea.getData();
alert( editorInstanceData );
});
I could not comment or reply to the post as I don't have enough points so I have to ask a duplicate.
I have the alert working and pasted the code in myFunction but I get the error in the console Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'on' of undefined.
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<script>
function myFunction()
{
var htmldata = CKEDITOR.instances.Editor.document.getBody().getHtml();
alert(htmldata);
}
</script>

MrWarby.
Before your SCRIPT in HEAD add two more lines:
<script type="text/javaScript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.10.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="/ckeditor/ckeditor.js"></script>
But change path to CkEditor script.
I have a website like:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<body>
<script src="jquery-2.0.3.min.js"></script>
<div id="block">
<span id="c1" class="chunk">first </span>
<span id="c2" class="chunk">second </span>
<span id="c3" class="chunk">third </span>
</div>
<script>
var my = {
mousedown: function(event) {
$('.chunk').each(function() {
this.setAttribute('contenteditable', 'false');
});
},
mouseup: function(event) {
$('.chunk').each(function() {
this.setAttribute('contenteditable', 'true');
});
}
};
$('.chunk')
.on('mousedown', my.mousedown)
.on('mouseup', my.mouseup)
;
my.mouseup(null);
</script>
</body>
</html>
The desired outcome is like in chrome:
when I click the chunk, I can write text and I see a caret (cursor)
and when I select the contenteditable gets disabled for the time of selection
BUT IN FIREFOX:
I can not type anymore inside the contenteditable
because the onmousedown disables the contenteditable in time of onclick (I think)
CAN U HELP WITH FIX? I'm looking for cross-browser solution to this.
PLEASE
The answer appeared to be simpler thant I thought. The main containing parent has to have contenteditable=true, after this, everything worked in every browser like it should. And now the mousemove and mousedown simulating selectstart also work like they should (another feature of this project), so remember when having similar problem: just create one contenteditable main container and you will not have problems with selections
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<body>
<script src="jquery-2.0.3.min.js"></script>
<div id="block" contenteditable="true">
<span id="c1" class="chunk">first </span>
<span id="c2" class="chunk">second </span>
<span id="c3" class="chunk">third </span>
</div>
</body>

I want to fire a button's click event when pressing ENTER inside a input and I find it quite difficult with AngularJS.
My view (simplified, updated):
<!doctype html>
<html lang="en" ng:app="test">
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8" />
<title>Test</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/app.css" />
</head>
<body ng-controller="TestController">
<button ng-click="onButton1Click()" class="btn1">Click Me</button>
<button ng-click="onButton2Click()" class="btn2">Don't click me</button>
<script src="lib/jquery/jquery.js"></script>
<script src="lib/angular/angular.js"></script>
<script src="js/testcontroller.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
My controller for this view:
'use strict';
angular.module('test', [])
.controller('TestController', ['$scope',
function($scope) {
$scope.onButton1Click = function() {
alert("Hello");
}
$scope.onButton2Click = function() {
$('.btn2').click();
}
}])
I simplified all the code to this. When I click on btn2 I get this error
$apply already in progress
No, I can't call $scope.onButton1Click() directly, I must simulate the btn1 click.
You mentioned
fire a button's click event when pressing ENTER inside a input
So if it is safe to assume that you can have a form I would prefer using ng-submit as shown below.
<form ng-submit="clickEventFunction()">
<input type="text"/>
<button type="submit">Click</button>
</form>
Note button type should be submit.
This took me a while to figure out (lots of fiddles).
<form id="nowsorting" ng-submit="getData(sc_user)">Now sorting the Soundcloud likes of <input type="text" ng-model="sc_user"><input type="submit" value="Sort"></form>
Make a form and use ng-submit to fire the event (likely a function).
Then create two inputs (one is "text" and the other "submit").
Then pushing enter should fire the ng-submit event/function.
I think, you just have to call your $scope.onButtonClick()
Please check this Plunker
$scope.onKeyPress = function($event) {
if ($event.keyCode == 13) {
$scope.onButtonClick();
}
};
I tried to write an AJAX-type form with Twitter Bootstrap, but the updated div element disappears. Can I fix that?
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head><link href="bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet" media="screen"></head>
<script>
function wordCloud(){document.getElementById("cloud").innerHTML = "WordCloud";}
</script>
<body>
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.js"></script>
<script src="bootstrap.min.js"></script>
<div id="cloud"></div>
<form onsubmit="wordCloud()">
<fieldset>
<button type="submit" class="btn">Submit</button>
</fieldset>
</form></body>
</html>
Change as follows.
function wordCloud(){document.getElementById("cloud").innerHTML = "WordCloud";}
replace
function wordCloud(){document.getElementById("cloud").innerHTML = "WordCloud"; return false; }
and
<form onsubmit="wordCloud()">
replace
<form onsubmit="return wordCloud()">
