I am trying to develop the application using Kendo UI. This will be html application using Kendo UI and the data will be provided by Web API.
The main purpose is i want this application to be offline enabled. Means if there is no internet connection then also it should serve the cached page.
By doing some research i came across Kendo UI Offline Handling.
Here is my understanding by after refering the above link:
As per my thinking this approach will be used when the WEB API is off due to some reason but then also the html pages will serve the cached data contents. But to do this my html application should be working live ( using internet ).
Am i correct ?
If i am correct than what should i in order to make my application serve the user without internet connection ( offline mode ) using html and Kendo UI. ?

To enable a web application to be useful offline you need to think about how to persist its data, such as application data, user data and session state, on the client. I suggest you do some research on the Web Storage API and go from there.

Suppose we have a primary web page that most of our business logic in form of modules will appear inside this web page and it will trigger lots of other functionalities, something like dotnet nuke default.aspx. we are going to use this web form in a mobile application, my question is, is it possible to transfer my primary web page via web Api or in other word adding a web service endpoint at top of Web Page(layer) to transmit both web page UI and its logic?

I am trying to build my own WOPI host using ASP.NET MVC and its WebAPI functions according to this example

I successfully used that example to connect to my Office Web App Server and I can use that to access files of Excel and PowerPoint in local path and I am able to edit it, but I cannot use it to open word document in editing mode as the Post action handler isn't implemented completely without any response so that it cannot handle any edit request.
In order to add support for editing of Office document, I tried this example with POST request handler based on Cobalt library extracted from Office Web App Server.

With this example I managed to edit ans save all kinds of document with Office Web App Server. However, when I tried to integrate these two together I found that even if I can enter the edit window of Excel and PowerPoint and I can see that Post Requests from Office Web App Server like locking and Cobalt are handled by my WOPI Post API action handler. Those change doesn't take any effect on my local file at all. Moreover, I still cannot edit word document and when I checked the back log of Office Web App Server, I found the error message is Cobalt is not supported while I have already set the SupportsCobalt in CheckFileInfo response to true! Any help is very appreciated!
I think I have exactly what you are looking for. Check out my implementation of the WOPI host. It's an MVC6 app that takes the best from the both examples you are referring to and adds some extra features.
I want to create a web app that uses Twitter Bootstrap for the front end, and the backend uses Spring+Hibernate.
Now, some data has to be stored in each user's session-- how do I store/manage such data?
Do I have to use a 3rd party JS framework like Angular (by Google) or some other framework for this purpose?
Also, in such a hybrid app, should I use the JS framework (like Jquery or Angular JS) for storing the data and then send it to the Spring + Hibernate API? What I mean is, I can as well store the object-> relational DB mapping in the js framework, and use Spring only for basic database inserts/updates/selects?
Twitter bootstrap is a CSS framework with some javascript plugins, and is not a language in itself. Using it or not using it will have no impact on what you can/can't use on your backend.
As for sessions; sessions should always be stored server-side... therefore using Bootstrap will have no affect on your implementation of sessions.
Finally, in regards to keeping any of your database logic client side in javascript, NEVER do this. Javascript code can extremely easily be modified by the user, so anything client side should be considered unsecure. Do not ever put anything unsecure in your database.
We can use Twitter Bootstrap for the front end, and Spring MVC -> REST API for the back end...
For simple apps, ex search-only apps we can straightaway create an API and use JQuery to connect to the API and fetch data.
For more complex apps, the problem is that REST APIs dont store session data... For this, however we can use Spring MVC-> REST API as that has support specifically to handle sessions.

WP7 newbie here..
In my application, I am using embedded web browser control to load an external web page.
I have a PIN based validation step in that application, which involves
1) User Leaving the current application, (which has a external web page loaded in the embedded web browser) to launch the SMS Inbox.
2) User reads the SMS he just received, which has the PIN. I am sending this SMS to the user.
3) The User then needs to resume back to the original application by hitting back button, to enter the PIN which he received in the SMS earlier.
Once user enters Step2, my application will go into background, and subsequently will get tombstoned. Once user enter Step3, I want to restore application state (with the embedded web browser control), without making a fresh HTTP request again to load the web page.
So, with the given scenario in my mind, I have following two questions -
1) Is there a better way to do all this, like not having to exit the original application, and still let user read the SMS. ( i.e any api to read sms ?)
2) Is there a way to serialize the browser state/save entire web page (with images, css, js) , such that entire web page can be rendered exactly the way it was, when user left the running application.
Important points:
1) I can only use SMS as a communication channel. I can not use something like raw push notification channel, which could let me show PIN to the user, without exiting the application.
2) I am targeting Windows phone 7.0 runtime, but if there is a better option available in Windows Mango update, please do tell me.

1) There is no API that would let you access the contents of the Messaging hub from inside your application. This is set up for privacy purposes.
2) By default, the web browser saves its state. So if you navigate away from your app, and then come back - the same web page will still be there unless you explicitly re-navigate on activation
1) The better way to do this would be to not embed the web page within an app. Just build a mobile website. If all the functionality is within the web page you gain nothing but problems by trying to put it inside an app.
The web browser control is not intended to be used to create an alternative browser (which is really what you're doing).
2) You can try using the SaveToString() method to store the state of the page when tombstoned but this doesn't allow for modifications to the page since it was loaded (including anything dynamically updated or any state in javascript). If you have multiple pages you'll also need to maintain the internal backstack and the state of each page separately.
Short answer: If you want to put your application logic in a webBrowser control then you can't support tombstoning. Fast-App-Switching (in Mango) partially addresses this but not completely.
Is there any other Server Driven Ajax Framework similar to Jquery Mobile ( which can fetch a complete page without refresh and update the ui ) for normal Ajax Web Application instead of Mobile Web Application ?

There's nothing at all stopping you using jQuery Mobile for a 'desktop' web application rather than a mobile web application. You may need to tweak the css slightly.
