I am trying to compile a C++ project that uses OpenCV and Tesseract(not iOS) in Xcode 5.1. I have downloaded OpenCV and Tesseract and the header and library files are sitting in my /usr/local/include/ and /usr/local/lib/ folders respectively.
I have tried modifying my Xcode project "Header search paths" and "Library search paths" to include the above two folders according to this.
However, I am getting the following compilation errors in round robin fashion
"Lexical Preprocessor Issue - 'tesseract\baseapi.h' file not found"
"Lexical Preprocessor Issue - 'opencv\cv.h' file not found"
I have also tried adding specific paths for tesseract and opencv with no luck.
Has anyone fixed this issue before?

I have an issue that is going on for over a month and I can't find any solution for it.
I created an Appcelerator Titanium Module, which uses the OpenCV framework.
I tried literally everything I found on the internet to make it work, but no sucess.
The module compiles, but it crashes when building the App that uses it.
To dig deep in the problem, I compile the App via CLI using appc run -p ios -l trace to see the whole thing. This is what I get:
[TRACE] ld: framework not found opencv2 [TRACE] clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)
This happens if I declare the framework in the module.xconfig file, like this:
OTHER_LDFLAGS=$(inherited) -framework opencv2
If I don't declare it in the file, I get:
[TRACE] symbols not found for architecture x86_64 [TRACE] clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)
Well, the opencv2.framework file is inside the /ios folder in the module.
This is what I tried so far, to put the OpenCV Framework in the project:

Compiling it from scratch and then adding to the Project
brew install opencv and then adding it to the project
I configured Framework Search Paths like this:
$(inherited) $(PROJECT_DIR) $(SRCROOT)
Header Search Paths like this:
$(inherited) "$(TITANIUM_SDK)/iphone/include" /usr/local/Cellar/opencv/4.4.0/include (this last one, when installed by brew CLI command.
The Other Linker Flags, is configured like this:

And finally, I tried adding the .dylib files from the source of the OpenCV Framework in the project by right-clicking the project's name and Add Files.
So, I tried everything I could find to solve it, but I can't get it to work.
Sorry for the long question, but I am completly out of ideas on how to make this work.

First of all, the opencv2.framework is copied automatically to the XCode /ios folder (if you selected Copy Files if Needed). BUT, Appcelerator needs 3rd party frameworks to be put on /ios/platform folder. So, I moved it there.
Secondly I added -lz to the Other Linker Flags in Build Settings.

Here is a video that helped me install OpenCV4 on my Macbook Pro Mojave 10.14.6. I tried installing OpenCV using another video and it led me to getting a linker error that was similar to yours.
Basically, the problem was the path I specified as for my /lib and /include folders.

When building the Windows C++ version of quantlib 1.9.1, I get this error of missing payoffs.hpp. When I browse to the directories, I see payoffs.cpp, but not payoffs.hpp:

I also get this for #include <ql/instruments/swap.hpp> [and possibly others]. I am able to build the windows quantlib library ok. Just not the examples.
I just checked the QuantLib 1.9.1 release available from the project downloads (did you get your version from there?) and the files you're looking for are contained in the release zip and tarball. Also, it's pretty weird that you could compile the library without them, so I'd double check if they're there. If they really aren't—well, hard to know how they got displaced; anyway, you can download the release again and replace them. If that doesn't fix the problem (or if they're already there after all), it's possible that you have to fix the include path for the example you're trying to compile. Does it include the QuantLib directory?
For my thesis I want to use Dlib's face_landmark_detection, but I keep running into these errors (for both Visual studio 2013 as well as 2015):
"cannot open include file: 'zlib.h': No such file or directory"
and
"'F77_INT': undeclared identifier".
It repeats itself so I have 36 errors based on these two problems.
My supervisor has given me some steps to follow to set up the project:
add dlib-master and dlib-master\examples to VC++ directories -> include directories
add dlib-master\dlib\external\libjpeg and dlib-master\dlib\entropy_decoder to C/C++ -> General -> Additional include directories
add all folders and items from dlib-master\dlib\external (cblas, libjpeg, libpng and zlib) to the project source folder
add the dlib source file (from dlib-master\dlib\all) and add face_landmark_detection (from dlib-master\examples) to the project source folder.
and according to him this has worked on every other computer so far, but on my laptop it just won't. We checked to project, but zlib.h is in the zlib folder in the project. Does anyone here have an idea on what might be going wrong?
If I didn't give enough info, please ask. I don't know what else might be needed to solve this.
I have just come about this same problem and wanted to post my solution since I have found so much conflicting documentation on the subject.
The folder containing the dlib folder as well as the libpng, libjpeg, and zlib folders from dlib/external need to be added to the additional include directories list in the solution settings.
dlib/all/source.cpp as well as the source files for libpng, libjpeg, and zlib also need to be added to the project.
Note that CBLAS should not be added to the project in any way, because it needs Fortran to compile, and it is very difficult to get this to compile from Visual Studio.
Finally, make sure to add DLIB_PNG_SUPPORT and DLIB_JPEG_SUPPORT as preprocessor defines in the project settings.
I also attempted to use a cmake generated solution, however, for some reason it had trouble with png support.
It is probably easiest to use CMake to configure your project which uses dlib. It avoids setting all those paths manually. During CMake configure step you can disable usage of libraries like zlib which you don't have/want/need. Here is an example CMakeLists.txt which works for me:

My Foo_Prefix.pch file can't find boost. I installed boost with brew and have added /usr/local/include for both Debug and Release in the Build Settings/Search Paths/Header Search Paths in non-recursive mode. Switching to recursive mode causes different problems, like header files nested too deeply.
The error message is: Foo_Prefix.pch: Lexical or Preprocessor Issue 'boost/array.hpp' file not found
The header file /usr/local/include/boost/array.hpp exists. I have cleaned the project and restarted Xcode several times.

I have the similar issue, I have boost installed in ../../../3p folder relative to the xcode project path. I added the include header path to "Header Search path". .PCH is not locating the boost headers, than I added the same boost include path to "User header Search path" and made "Always Use User path" to Yes. Than it worked. Not sure what is the issue. Of course I am using <> to include boost headers.
In terminal i've installed cmake and build OpenCV. When i'm typing ls /usr/local/lib i've got a lot of files .dylib
I have to link the .dylib files provided by OpenCV into project
I need to link framework in my project. I open Command line tools (by Add Files to "...") and text in /usr/local/lib. And there are no .dylib

Your Xcode project is configured to build against an SDK. The the OpenCV libraries are not part of the SDK, they're installed on your system. Switch your Xcode project to using a "Base SDK" of "Current OS X" and the problem should go away.
