When I try to install visual studio 2013 ultimate on a non-system disk, it tries to install on the system disk and it's saying that I have no free space.
Trying to install it on my E drive, which has more than 300gb free space: http://imgur.com/JLsZtyL
And that's what happens after I hit next: http://imgur.com/iZRUxIv
I have tried to install the other version of the visual studio 2013 ultimate, but I'm still getting this error.
How I can install visual studio 2013 ultimate on my other 'E' drive?
This is because the installer needs to install a big chunk of all the .net-framework, db-stuff, etc on C:. From my experience it isn't adviseable to install VisualStudio on another drive than C:. Nearly everytime I did this I got very strange behavoir from it.

My Windows installation got corrupt and I had to reinstall it, which wiped my whole Windows(C:) drive. I installed Visual Studio on D: drive which remained intact. Now, when I start it, it tells me to reinstall it. There is no 'Visual Studio 2015' in Add or Remove Programs (as it is not in the new registry). Is there anyway I can repair it WITHOUT having to reinstall the WHOLE Visual Studio package again?
Delete Visual Studio on D:, then install it again from the original installer.
I have a Windows 8.1 computer with Visual Studio Community 2015 installed and no other version of Visual Studio. I want to install Visual Studio Community 2013 because this is required to use C++ with Unreal Engine 4. But I get
this error message when I try to install.
So I restarted my computer, and the same error message still shows up. I have tried installing from an executable from the Visual Studio webpage, and from a button in Unreal Engine 4 that opens the Visual Studio 2013 installer. What could be the problem? Thanks.
From memory, you're supposed to be able to install multiple versions of visual studio, provided you install them chronologically.
Make a backup.
Then try uninstalling VS 2015. Then installing VS 2013, then re-installing VS 2015.
Better yet, do this in a virtual machine.
- Additionally; A virtual machine will allow you to install VS 2013 in isolation, so that you won't need to uninstall VS 2015.

i want to learn programming in visual studio and open whole new world to me but it's keep doing that. i have 2010 and 2008 versions but i want to try new one.
i tried installing ultimate version too but it was throwing same error.
I'm not sure, but the setup you are trying to install could be corrupt.
So you should restart the system and install freshly downloaded setup of visual studio.
I want to install Visual studio 2013 Ultimate, but an error message pops up saying:
You need a newer version of windows
After a little research about the known installation issues for VS2013, I updated to SP1 from the Microsoft website and installed IE10, but I am still unable to install it.
SOLUTION FOUNDED:
I have found the solution to my problem, simply by changing the Visual Studio installation File from the C (system drive) it was in the desktop, to the D (other stuff drive) and relaunching the installation again, magically the installation begins without any issues.
