Xamarin monotouch can't run simulator in debug mode - debugging

A very wired thing has happen,
After updating to the latest Xamarin, I can't run my project on simulator in Debug mode. Xamarin will simply not let my choose as the destination for debug. (see in screen shot attached).
Also added a screen shot from Release mode where you can see I have an option to choose a simulator. I worked with Xamarin for more than a year. Never had something like that.

Watch app - can't see simulators under active schemes

I've created a Watch App in XCode, blank app, can't see the scheme to launch watch simulator.
I've also looked into settings under build/Architecture etc. and changed them from iOS to watchOS but still unable to get it working.
The question, how to make this test project run in a watch simulator. (screenshot 1)
on a side note, under WatchFramework I do see simulators. (screenshot 2)
I've had this happen sometimes when switching between Xcode betas.
Have a look under Build Settings and Deployment for the Watch App Target and make sure the correct version of watchOS is selected.
Also double check SWIFT_VERSION and TARGET_DEVICE at the bottom under User-Defined

Xamarin Forms App crashes after splash screen on iOS device

My Xamarin Forms App works fine in Android devices, but when trying do deploy on a real iOS device it crashes after the splash screen, I said real because I can run without any problem on the simulator.
I try to debug the App on a real iOS device, and I found that the crash happen when the App try to load the XAML file on:
private void InitializeComponent() {
global::Xamarin.Forms.Xaml.Extensions.LoadFromXaml(this, typeof(LoginPage));
Please take a look at the debug steps:
Regards,
Pedro
I found the problem. The [XamlCompilation(XamlCompilationOptions.Compile)] was missing on the code behind C# file, and because of that some methods used by click events of controls on the XAML were not available. But still can't find explanation for this not happening on the simulator!
In case it is a help to anyone, I had the same symptom for a different reason. I am using single page simple navigation in the app in question setting MainPage to the current page in the app. After few days of troubleshooting, happened to notice the checkbox in Application section of info.plist, "Supports Multiple Windows" was checked. Unchecking this restored my app to working condition. There were no diagnostic messages that seemed related, just a crash after splash in release mode, and a black screen in debug mode.

Xcode Simulator For iPad app displays zoomed in like and iPhone app

I created a brand new Xcode project using the master detail template. Just running the project off the bat my Xcode simulator runs all iPad devices in the below format.
It looks like an iPhone app is being ran on an iPad. In the bottom right corner there is a 1x button. When clicked it turns into a 2x button.
I've reset all device and settings in the simulator and changed the project to run on on other iPad devices but still having the issue. Again this is an out of the box project with no adjustments made. Ive attached a screenshot of what it looks like.
Did you check this setting in the "general" tab in your project build settings is set to iPad instead of iPhone?

iOS 8 today extension - recompile

I create an extension for my app in iOS 8 and it is displayed correctly under the Today tab.
However when I make a change to the extension (either a UI change in the Storyboard, a UI change in viewDidLoad code, or some changes in the widgetPerformUpdateWithCompletionHandler method), there's nothing that is changed when I recompile. The only way I can make the changes to appear is to delete the app from the device/simulator then compile/install again. Restarting XCode (I work with XCode 6 beta 4) / restarting the computer does not help.
How can I fix the bug?
How am I supposed to debug the extension, because setting breakpoints does not seem to do anything and no NSLog messages are printed to the console (I suppose, since it's a different target).
It's a known bug, read the release notes for iOS 8b5.
Debugging (and NSLog) works in Xcode but not always (known bugs). You can still attach the debugger if Xcode cannot attach himself (Debug -> Attach to process)
For me, the simulator works better than real device, so use the simulator until things got better.
2 tips:
Close the simulator at end of debugging (i have a script for auto closing the simulator when i press STOP in Xcode, tell me if you want it).
When you launch the plugin process in simulator, wait for "All applications" display list, if you click "Run" before the list are loaded, the debugger won't attach.

iOS Simulator for iPad not working since upgrade to Xcode 4.3.2

A few days back I upgraded to Xcode 4.3.2 by downloading from the developer's portal and running the installation files. Since then, I am able to test apps on my devices and am also able to test them on the iOS simulator for iPhone without issues. However, the iPad simulator is not working well. A screenshot is attached.
The home button doesn't appear.
The status bar doesn't appear.
The simulator appears like a window with minimize and maximize icons (only the maximize icon is enabled) and also has a title with the version no.
Can anyone please advise, a screenshot of the simulator is present at the below location.

The Skins are missing from the iPad simulator, a solution is using the keyboard shortcuts, Cmd+Shift+H for Home, Cmd+1 / 2 / 3 to resize the window to fit on your screen to avoid scrollbars and such.
