Anyone knows if I can use google places autocomplete and use MapBox as the map and not Google map?
By doing so am I violating google places terms of use?
Thanks
If you render Places data on a map, it has to be a google map.
However, you can render data without a map, but this required a "Powered by google" logo.
If your application displays Places API data on a map, that map must
be provided by Google.
If your application displays Places API data on a page or view that
does not also display a Google Map, you must show a "Powered by
Google" logo with that data. For example, if your application displays
a list of Places on one tab, and a Google Map with those Places on
another tab, the first tab must show the "Powered by Google" logo.

I have a review site where user can search using google places api autocomplete textbox to find a specific business and write reviews for it on my site.
The google api returns back bunch of stuff along with 5 reviews for the place searched.
is it ok for me to show the reviews the api returns on my site?
Edit:
If yes,
do i need to put a disclamer or give credit to google for the
reviews shown?
google place api also returns the review's author name, can i to
show it? do i need any permission?
is it ok for me to copy the google api reviews to my site?
If you are showing a Map, along with that data, the Map must be a Google Map(i.e. that data cannot be accompanied with openstreetmap etc.)
If you are only displaying the reviews, you must show "Powered by Google" with them.
If your application displays Google Places API Web Service data on a map, that map must be provided by Google.
If your application displays Google Places API Web Service data on a page or view that does not also display a Google Map, you must show a "Powered by Google" logo with that data. For example, if your application displays a list of places on one tab, and a Google Map with those places on another tab, the first tab must show the "Powered by Google" logo.

In the Google plus Quick Start documentation:
Google Plus Quick Start Enable Google plus API
It states that a form needs to be filled out to register the app. But I can't find anything to click on to register the app. I'm wondering if the Google Console layout has changed, and the documentation hasn't been updated? I did a search on the word, "register" but didn't find anything.
The side bar on the left that I see has a list like this:
Overview
----------
APIs and auth
Credentials
Consent Screen
Push
That's what my Google Console screen looks like. I don't see any menu item for Register App
True, that part changed a bit. What you need to do now is to go to "Credentials" and create a new Client ID there. You will then find the necessary Client ID and Client secret listed on that page.
How might one be able to get the list of autosuggestions for a given search from Bing Search API like in the screen capture below? This doesn't seem to be among the results provided by choices of [Web|Image|Video|News|SpellingSuggestion|RelatedSearch]. Alternatively, does Google provide this?
As background, Bing can be queried via REST API using a query string, such as this URL (note it requires a developer key for basic auth). One can change the 'Web' keyword to get other results, but I'd really like to get the suggestions specifically:
https://api.datamarket.azure.com/Bing/Search/Web?Query=%27sushi%27&$format=JSON&$top=5
Bing Developer docs
There is an api route directly to the Bing suggestion list. Interestingly, this is separate from the developer API list. Currently the link is
api.bing.com/osjson.aspx?query=[URI encoded search term here]
I am using Google Places to render some hotels from a specific area in a website. I was able to get the details like:
https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/place/details/json?reference=CoQBfAAAAGnd67oCT886cIfOC8m57hGAHyf9saAs8hueRcbguA22mPcazjkk23BWMUOgvrigofuwM1HfRGpLcFtF1WXxv3_n8gb6WgXfaqQFbA0U4_ytSyLyksipx2tjwWU-3EW39ePYtpYhiCwRq9xlNI72Ah4Wv0WytqiJOTF49iTBwCD9EhD1ez5NJDr-pZMI9WagObi3GhQmn9Dum95KN61ZKamJ27wUoJxjvQ&sensor=true&key=[google_key]
If you see the result, it also has a url to official google page.
Is there any way to get the photo of this place from there?
Because the icon parameter does not have the image from here but a specific google image which is the same for all lodging types places.
The Google Places API does not currently support this feature. If you believe this would be a useful feature you can submit a `Places API - Feature Request' here:

Google Places API Photos like Google Maps Photo. It is not Business Photo.
For a commercial website, I would like users to fill out a field with their shop name, and if the shop is found by google, fill out the subscription form (for example: phone number, address, logo, etc).
My question: is it possible to use this Api with that? I find that the terms of use are not clear.
PS : Sorry about my english :/
In short a few of the important terms of use are:
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/terms.html#section_9_1
You must not charge access to use your implementation of the Places Autocomplete API and it must be freely accessible to the public. Unless its part of a Mobile Application or you have a Google Enterprise agreement or obtained Google's written permission.
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/places/autocomplete.html#requirements
You must show a "Powered by Google" logo with any data accessed using the Places Autocomplete API if you do no show this data with a Google Map
If the Places Autocomplete API responses contains Listing provider information it must be displayed to the user.
If your implementation adheres to the terms of use, than it is possible for you to use the Places Autocomplete API for the purpose described.
