I overrode clean() in a derived forms class:

self.user = None
cleaned_data = super(LoginForm, self).clean()
username = cleaned_data["user_id"].lower()
But the debugger isn't stopping on breakpoints that I set within the overridden method (e.g., it doesn't stop on a break set on self.user = None).
I can see that the method is being invoked because a custom ValidationError gets raised and recorded.
Is there a limitation on the PyCharm debugger where it won't hit breakpoints in overridden methods?

What I'm trying to do, is have an object (it's a gstreamer process that runs in a seperate thread) to be able to call the write_message() function of a WebSocketHandler

I try out the platform-core-1.0 rc5 Plugin to services by events. Now I write a service in the grails-plugin "listadmin":

This service should return a list for dropdown in an other grails-plugin called "institutionadmin". I want to use this list of the service for a dropdown of a domain-model. I should mention that I use dynamic scaffolding. Now I try to call this event in the domain-model:

If call this event in a controller everything is fine and the documentation of this plugin describe that I can call events also in domain-models and services... This error-method tell me, that the class don't know the event method.
Do I have to configure anything else?
Should call the event in another way or where is my mistake?

The event(...) dynamic methods are not available on class (static) level.
You can pull the grailsEvents spring bean and call its event() method alternatively. You still have to get the bean from the application context statically though.
You could also use a custom validator instead, as you can get the current domain instance as a parameter, which should have the event() method injected.

Anyway, In my case I would probably load the list elsewhere (in the Bootstrap.groovy for instance) and use it / inject it in my domain instead of doing in the constraints closure.
I faced similar kind of problem, I wanted to use the event call inside a service class which is going to call the listener in other service class. When I started my application I got the same error.What I did was, added the plugin(platform-core:1.0.RC5) entries in BuildConfig.groovy like below

I've created a significant number of methods to help me perform unit test assertions in Visual Studio 2010. I've also enabled "Double-click a Failed or Inconclusive unit test result displays the point of failure in the test" option in the Test Execution options. My issue is that with these helper methods, I'd like the point of failure to be the stack frame calling my helper method, not the exception being thrown within the helper method.
Obviously, I can do "ShowDetails" and click higher in the stack, but that will pretty much cancel out any time saved by using the helper method.
I've tried using the various [Debugger*] attributes on my method without success.

I'm retroactively documenting and writing unit tests for some C# code. I would like to determine what code is actually being used and when.
In Visual Studio 2012, is there a way to record all the methods accessed and in what order while walking through specific scenarios?
You could run your application with a profiler attached, which will give you all accessed methods, call chains, counts, etc.
The Visual Studio Profiler will give you the time spent in each method, and let you inspect the call heirarchy. I don't know if it will give you the exact order they were called in though.
EDIT: Apparently attaching the profiler to a running unit test is harder in VS2012.
Are you wanting to execute a test method that make sure that a particular method on a class was invoked ? If so i dont know of a way to do it in VS alone, but you can use a mock framework to create dependency mocks and check values on them. Here is a snippet of a unit test:

this block of code is actually checking how many times SetPrivacyAcceptanceStatus was invoked:

I am trying to serialize my game data. In case the user presses the Windows button, everything should be saved. I know that we should override the OnExiting event in the game class. but am using the Game State Management , I want to serialize game data in my GamePlayScreen class. I did override the Serialize and DeSerialize methods, but they didnt work.

I tried to create my own IsolatedStorageFile instead of the provided stream object, but it didnt work.
I tried to write the same code in the Load and Unload event. it works fine there, but in case of pressing the back button. i need to serialize if the user pressed the windows button or the search button.
It looks like you need to handle the OnDeactivated and OnActivated events. Just do the same thing as is done in the OnExiting event and the Constructor. I would have thought the sample would do this as proper handling of tombstone/rehydrate is such a big thing for WP7, however it seems it has been neglected. Note that OnActivated is NOT called when the app is launched and OnDeactivated is NOT called when the app is closed manually or exited using the Back button.
Note that Activated and Deactivated area also available as events on PhonApplicationServices.Current, along with Launching and Closing, which are ONLY called on actual open and exit situations.

Ok, I take it back. OnDeactivated and OnActivated are not required. It seems that OnExiting is fired for both Deactivate and Exit scenarios. I downloaded the sample you linked (XNA4 WP7, not Mango version) and put this code into the GameplayScreen:

A break point shows that the Deserialize method is being hit functioning correctly, so your problem must be in how you apply your loaded data, or perhaps you've edited other code that has broken it.
