Check: Oracle Data Access Components for Windows 7 - oracle

i have downloaded ODAC92070.exe from the Oracle Site [x32bit]. i need to install it on Windows 7 x32 bit. on installation instruction: System Requirements
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/windows/install9207-086815.html
its doesnt seems it would work on Windows 7 x32 or Windows 2008 r2 x32. Can i able to run and install Oracle Universal Installer (OUI) on windows 7 x32bit?
thanks

Oracle Universal Installer is a Java application that can handle complex requirements. ODAC release for 9.2.0.7.0 will work fine with Windows7 32 bit release. If you face any problem during installation change the compatibility setting to "WindowsXP ServicePack 2".
Hope it helps.

Please help me to run oracle app on windows 10 64bit or 32bit,
I always get this error.
oracle forms 6.0
frm-40010: cannot read from app_user
its work on win7 32bit normal, but win10 32/64 bit never run.
so what the trick to fix it?
windows 10 but nothing
I need to run it on windows 10 32 or 64 bit
Forms 6i is really ancient; the last certified and supported MS Windows operating version was XP.
If you need to run that application on Windows 10, consider installing a virtual machine that runs under Windows XP, put Forms 6i there and you should be using it with no problems.

Installer Oracle 11g windows 64 bit doesn't work

This one drives me crazy, I am installing Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Windows 64 bit version. Because Express edition doesn't work on win7.
Link to download is: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/112010-win64soft-094461.html
In total there are 2 files, using 7zip I have unzipped them in one folder. Folder is called 'database' containing:
doc
install
response
stage
setup
welcome
I double clicked on setup, passed installation option where they ask me to provide email address to be informed of security issues. I selected 'Create and configure a database'. And in the next step where they ask for type of installation I chose 'Desktop Class'. After I clicked on 'Next' the installer just closes and installation is stopped..
Any idea what might be the cause? I have the rights, I am using a clean new laptop, WIN7 64 bit, installed JDK.
Oracle 11G Express Edition is officially available on 64-bit versions of Windows (Finally!).
Oracle 11G Express Edition Download Page
If you purpose is some developing/testing/learning why not use pre-built Oracle VM images? You just need to install Virualbox and download the image file.
I quote:
Because Express edition doesn't work on win7.
It actually works.
Just right click on setup and click "run as administrator". Ignore any error message.
It worked on win7 64bit and Windows Server 2008 R2 (of course 64bit).

While installing Auto Cad application software facing Error 1606

I am using Acad 2010 on a Win8.1 x64. What i did is i turned off windows defender then i used a 32 bit setup file using 64bit files...i took the 32bit setup file pasted it in the 64bit files after removing the Acad 64bit setup. Worked for me.
AutoCAD versions prior than 2014 are not compatible with Win8, see here for autodesk products compatibility list
Since you're aware of that, I've installed acad 2012 on win 8 and I haven't got any issue once installed.
Your issue strongly looks like the one described here: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=8164400&linkID=9240617
I hope this helps.

Which version of Windows 7 should I install on my development PC?

I am a .net and java deloper. I have an MSDN subscription with access to all editions of the Windows 7 operating system. I am going with a 64 bit installation. Which edition of Windows 7 should I install on my development PC: Professional, Ultimate, Enterprise, Enterprise N, etc.? Thanks in advance.
Put Ultimate on the box and run the others in virtual machines.
If you have access to all versions, I see no reason not to install Ultimate.
As long as your tools run on the OS it shouldn't matter
(btw: I'm running ultimate and it's working out fine)
I think you should use Vista, or even XP for developing your .Net Apps
the reason is your apps have to be backward compatible.
Remember most users still use XP.
And you cant sell your app to an XP user even if your app is very clever, because they cant install it.
And at last .Net is Platform independ , you can use it on which ever windows version you want. (even for Linux)
(excluded windows 3, 98)
