Set Google+ Profile Picture for Google Apps for Business Users - google-api

We have company pictures that we would like to set as everyone's profile pictures. We're able to set their directory/contact profile picture with no real issues, however, we can't figure out how to change their Google+ profile picture.
Is there any way to change their profile pictures with the Google+ API? Or without using Google+ (aside from logging into every account :P )
I've done a general search here on stack and Google, but could only find old sources or people wanting to get profile pictures.

Google+ Domains API does not have a method for updating people. If you would like one please open a feature request.

Overly broad permission ask for google youtube API

I'm using the YouTube API to create a webpage that allows users to view a specific set of YouTube videos, and then LIKE those videos, using YouTube like/dislike rating system, and It's working fine, but when the user triggers the process, after logging into their google account, they are presented with a permission dialog that basically says
"Hey, this site wants complete and total control over your YouTube account!".
I DO NOT want that, I only want the user to be able to rate the videos.
I'm using the PHP Client library to pull the list of videos into the page and display them, and this requires no permissions or interaction from the user. I am also using the JS library to handle the "like" functionality, and it's basically the javascript example from https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/docs/videos/rate?apix=true, but with my credentials.
Can I change this somewhere, or does YouTube just lump all of it's permissions under one giant "I can do anything" permission group?
I figured it out. It's about the OAuth 2 scopes, which the example lets you change for the DEMO, but it doesn't actually change the code in the sample.
For reference, the list of scopes is here: https://developers.google.com/identity/protocols/googlescopes#youtubev3

Share private video to some google accounts through API

I'm trying to figure out wheter it is possible to have a private video on youtube that I could share with particular Google Accounts through API.
I would have a separate web application that would have a Google signup and after signup I would enable that Google Account to watch my private video.
Ideally I would also want to embed the video to the web application (but I think I can do this rather easily if I'm an owner of the video).
Ispossible to have a private video on YouTube that I could share with particular google accounts through API.
No you cant directly share a video with another user like you could a file on google drive.
You could show the video on your own site, but I am not sure its something I would want to try. The thing is being that its a private video you and you alone have access to see it. Your going to have to authenticate your application and get a refresh token back which will allow you to access the account and the videos on the account.
Then you will be able to use that refresh token to get an access token to show other people the video via your website. The problem you will have is if the refresh token stops working (rarely happens but can happen) you will have to authenticate it again before your solution will work.
Note: Service accounts don't work with YouTube API. So don't bother going down that road.
If you know the ID of a video, you can access it. You can share the ID,or an embedded link with someone.
The api only hides the info, not blocks it. So you would need to hold the info elsewhere for referencing.
So as long as you know the id's of the related video's, you can do what you want with them.
However, if you are wanting to monetise them on the side, I would recommend against it. Best to read the user agreement you have with YouTube.

Google Places Photos & copyrights

I created a coordinates website that shows different information about a location. I pull this information from API's.
One of the things I show on the website are location photos that I pull from Google Places API.
Now I've received an e-mail from a professional photographer who says I'm infringing on his copyrights by showing the photo on my page. I've told him I pull the photo from Google Places and that he should contact Google if he doesn't want his photo on sites.
His reply is that I as website owner are responsible for the content and that Google has nothing to do with it. I find this very hard to believe...
What do you guys think? Any advice? Can ask Google for help?
The Google Places API has this to say about attribution:
Photos returned by the Photo service are sourced from a variety of locations, including business owners and Google+ users contributed photos. In most cases, these photos can be used without attribution, or will have the required attribution included as a part of the image. However, if the returned photo element includes a value in the html_attributions field, you will have to include the additional attribution in your application wherever you display the image.
Did the photo in question have anything in the html_attributions field? If not, then you're correct that the owner needs to talk to Google. If it does and you didn't display it, then you are in breach of copyright.

Add user review to Google map from my application(Android)

I am trying to create a location-based services Android application. I had successfully getting the user reviews from Google Places API by following the guidance from this link.
https://developers.google.com/places/documentation/details
I also found many posts regarding how to get user reviews from Google Places. But Now I want to create a function which user can insert reviews from my application. Is there anyway to do that?
Thanks.
No. There is no API for writing review. Also the Google+ mobile URL doesn't have the write review option from last year. Its a bug , but Google is not fixing this.
There is only one way to write review is through desktop URL. I have a similar location base app in play store where I have done some workaround to show desktop site to write review.

</button>
I want to share image with this. Please help me how can I share image via google+ API.
My second question is :
Is there any way in php to share on google+ automatically?
The images that appear in shares are calculated by Google based on the schema data on your page. As an example, you can use the snippet configuration tool to configure the image and description for your share. When you set the content-url to point to the page with schema, Google will use that schema microdata to set the image and so forth.
You cannot share programmatically to Google+ except with Google+ App Activities.
