compilation error while uploading sketch to arduino uno - arduino-uno

I'm stuck in uploading the arduino sketch to the uno board. I ran into a type error problem. I am not using the polulu wheel encoder. Please help me resolve this issue.

Do you not need the Poloulu wheel encoders? In line 12, you create a variable named "encoders" which is set to type = PololuWheelEncoders2. The error is telling you that this is not a valid type for a variable.

ffmpeg filter dev get_video_buffer function usage

I'm writing a mosaic ffmpeg filter.
copy code from vf_vflip.c, I register a callback function get_video_buffer
and implement it as follows:
static AVFrame *get_video_buffer(AVFilterLink *link, int w, int h)
{
MosaicContext *s = link->dst->priv;
AVFrame *frame;
int i;
int j,k;
frame = ff_get_video_buffer(link->dst->outputs[0], w, h);
if (!frame)
return NULL;
if (s->w == 0 || s->h == 0)
return frame;
for (i = 0; i < 3; i ++) {
// some trick code
}
return frame;
}
static const AVFilterPad avfilter_vf_mosaic_inputs[] = {
{
.name = "default",
.type = AVMEDIA_TYPE_VIDEO,
//.get_video_buffer = get_video_buffer,
.filter_frame = filter_frame,
.config_props = config_input,
},
{ NULL }
};
But after read some filter dev guide, I found that only a few filter implement get_video_buffer funcition.The default function is f_default_get_video_buffer()
I make some log find that ffmpeg call function like
get_video_buffer
filter_frame
get_video_buffer
filter_frame
get_video_buffer
filter_frame
...
I'm confused about get_video_buffer do what job.
Only know that some filter will hold frame cache.
Can I juse comment out the get_video_buffer hook?
I see flip job both in get_video_buffer() and filter_frame() in vf_vflip.c
Is it a waste of time?
static AVFrame *get_video_buffer(AVFilterLink *link, int w, int h)
{
FlipContext *flip = link->dst->priv;
AVFrame *frame;
int i;
frame = ff_get_video_buffer(link->dst->outputs[0], w, h);
if (!frame)
return NULL;
for (i = 0; i < 4; i ++) {
int vsub = i == 1 || i == 2 ? flip->vsub : 0;
int height = AV_CEIL_RSHIFT(h, vsub);
if (frame->data[i]) {
frame->data[i] += (height - 1) * frame->linesize[i];
frame->linesize[i] = -frame->linesize[i];
}
}
return frame;
}
static int filter_frame(AVFilterLink *link, AVFrame *frame)
{
FlipContext *flip = link->dst->priv;
int i;
for (i = 0; i < 4; i ++) {
int vsub = i == 1 || i == 2 ? flip->vsub : 0;
int height = AV_CEIL_RSHIFT(link->h, vsub);
if (frame->data[i]) {
frame->data[i] += (height - 1) * frame->linesize[i];
frame->linesize[i] = -frame->linesize[i];
}
}
return ff_filter_frame(link->dst->outputs[0], frame);
}

How to generate random integer that are random "enough"?

I'm trying to solve the 280th problem in Project Euler, and for this I have written the following simulation;

And the redirected the output to a *.txt file and find the expected value of the number of steps with the following octave code;
clear
load data.txt
n = data(:,1);
output_precision(15);
mean(n)
%% The actual data
%% milliData1 -> 430.038224000000

%% timeUnsigData1 -> 430.028159000000
%% timeUnsigData2 -> 430.009509000000
However, even I run the exact same code twice I get different results, as you can see from the above results.(Note that, I have tried this with different srand(..) inputs for the reason I'm going to explain).
I thought that the reason for this is because how I generate a random integer between 1-4 for the random directions of the ant, because as far as I have been though, the probability distribution of this experiment should be the same as long as I repeat the experiment large number of time (in this particular case 5000000 times).
So my first question is that is it really the problem with the method of how I generate random integers ? If so, how can we overcome this problem, I mean how can we generate integer random enough so that when we repeat the same experiment large number of times, the expected value between those is smaller than these result that I have got ?
You can use something like
std::mt19937 gen{std::random_device{}()};
std::uniform_int_distribution<int> dist{1, 4};
int randNumber = dist(gen);
This generates a more uniform distribution of values.

MFRC 522 with ATmega8. Mifare Classic 1K won't authenticate

I have a problem with an ATmega8 and Mifare RC-522 based NFC/RFID controller.
I'm using this library and I've managed to read the UID of a card.
However, I'd like to also read and write other parts of the card but whenever I try to use the MFRC522_Auth function I don't get the idle interrupt which I should, instead it gives me LoAlertIrq saying that FIFObuffer is almost empty.
Here are the docs for the reader and the card, and below are relevant parts of my code.
main.c :
byte = mfrc522_request(PICC_REQALL,str);
if(byte == CARD_FOUND)
{
byte = mfrc522_get_card_serial(str);
if(byte == CARD_FOUND)
{
byte = mfrc522_auth(PICC_AUTHENT1A, 7, sectorKeyA, str);
if( (byte == CARD_FOUND) )
{
byte = MFRC522_Read1(4, str);
if(byte == CARD_FOUND)
{
//write content of that block
}
}
}
Relevant functions from the library :

Developing with Firefox SDK with IDE (Visual Studio 2013 maybe)

I started developing a Firefox add-on, however I could not find any IDE specifically for Firefox. For most part it doesn't really matter because I can just open Javascript files and edit them (I use VS2013 and Web Essentials (I think)).
Up to this point everything is acceptable, but when I have to use cmd every time to run this plugin and then read console logs from cmd, it becomes a nightmare.
So my is - is there some way to launch, develop and log Firefox plugin just like any code in Visual Studio 2013? Other IDEs are welcome too.
Well I think it would be possible to create Visual Studio add-on, but it just too much work. However, I managed to partly integrate Firefox add-on creation into VS2013 with c++ code. It redirects cmd window so that means, that you'll output from cmd in "Output" window while debugging.
I'm leaving complete code with steps in case someone else needs this (C++11 is required):
Create Win32 C++ project (not cmd one).
Paste code (below) into cpp file.
Change YOUR_EXTENSION_NAME to your add-on name.
Run code once, it should throw message box with info where to put Add-on SDK.
Copy SDK files to that folder.
Run code again and exit (you may exit however you want, it should terminate remaining windows).
Now there are 3 options for file (.js, .css, etc.) linking:
Create files manually in SDK folder and add them manually to project.
Create files via VS2013 menu and then uncomment and modify, add, delete lines in do while loop.
Create files via VS2013 menu, but choose SDK folders.
Code:
#include <windows.h>
#include <tchar.h>
#include <thread>
#include <chrono>
#include <typeinfo>
