Add text along with image HTML

Hi i have a div like below
<div id="iconArrow"><img src="footer.jpg" width="35" height="27" style="position:fixed;"></div>
i need to add a text "more" on right side of image. please help me check the example image for final output.
after adding codes
It could have something to do with HTML5.
HTML5
<figure>
<img src="footer.jpg" width="35" height="27">
<figcaption>More</figcaption>
</figure>
CSS
figure {
position: fixed;
}
figure > * {
float :left;
}
Here's a jsFiddle
If you want your image to be fixed and you want to add a text beside it I suggest your wrap your image tag in another div with fixed position and do this:
<div id="wrapper" style="position: fixed;width: 35px;height: 27px;">
<img src="footer.jpg" width="35" height="27" /><div style="position: absolute;right: 0">your note</div>
</div>

Have a look at one of moxiecodes tinymce example pages:
http://www.tinymce.com/tryit/url_conversion.php
I guess this will show you how to configure your tinymce.
tinyMCE.init({
// General options
convert_urls : false,

Href Links not working in Firefox

Please help! I have tried using Firebug to see why my href's are not click-able but I can't figure it out. I don't use tables. The site is http://spiritfestcorpus.com/
The big circular image is wrapped in a href
I'd really appreciate any suggestions.
Here is the code from line 357 if you VIEW SOURCE in Firefox
<div id="slideshow_wrapper" )">
<div id="frame"></div>
<div id="slideshow_container">
<div id="slideshow">
<a style="z-index:9999999; position: absolute;" id="cdImage1" href="concertsbuy.aspx?eventId=53"><img id="Repeater1_ctl00_cdImage" src="images/slideshow/home/albums/2012/SPIRIT_Fest_Corpus/LMG_DC12Circle.png" style="border-width:0px;" /></a>
with position: absolute you must specify width and height. And if you are going to specify width and height on an a tag, you need to use display: block

How to stop auto-refresh onclick from thumbnails?

I have an image gallery on my site that uses thumbnails that enlarge above the thumbnail line when clicked on. I'm having an issue with the auto-refresh; every time I click one of the thumbnails, the page refreshes, which restores it to the "master image".
I'm not (and sort of refuse, on the grounds that I believe all this can be done with simple CSS and HTML) using anything fancy to write this code, despite my knowledge of HTML being amateur at best.
Here's a sample of the code. Let me know if you need to see a different piece of it.
<div id="rightcol">
<img name="ImageOnly. src='#' /><img src="#" />
</div>
<div id="leftcol"> <div>
<a href="" onclick="ImageOnly.src='#'"><img src="#" />
</div>
Edit: Somehow I seem to have fixed this issue by changing
<a href="" onclick="ImageOnly.src='#'">
to
<a href="#" onclick="ImageOnly.src='#'">
Not really sure why this worked but would love an explanation...?
Why not just use some simple ajax/javascript .innerHTML? instead of trying to stop the auto refresh that occurs when you click on a hyperlink that has #. That way you could update the rightcol synchroniously.
HTML
<div id="rightcol">
<img name="ImageOnly.src" src='#' />
</div>
<div id="leftcol">
<img src="#" />
</div>
AJAX Script
function ajaxMove(src)
{
var image = '<img src="'+src+'" alt="my transferred image" />';
document.getElementById('rightcol').innerHTML = image;
}
How is it used?
Request the object from the onclick event.
Build an image tag based off the information in the object.
Transfer the new image tag to the element with the id 'rightcol'
Other options
You could also remove the href="#" from the <a> tag and work directly from the onclick event and then apply style="cursor:pointer;". Then it will work like a regular hyperlink but without the refresh.
<a onclick="javascript:ajaxMove('ImageOnly.src')" style="cursor:pointer;" >Click Me</a>

Graphs with images as an imagemap or is there an alternative method?

I need to display some graphical chart data on a website. In these charts are several images that when clicked on should display a larger version of the image. The charts themselves are currently saved as a single image file.
My initial thoughts are to use an imagemap to specify where the images are in the overall chart image and then use jQuery to highlight around the edge of the images. Then using something like lightbox or fancybox display the larger version clicked on image.
What I would appreciate is some insight as to whether this is the best way to achieve the desired result or if there is a better technique?
Thanks
Why not just use a tooltip?
Here is an example using qTip2, with some borrowed code ;)
HTML
<img src="planets.gif" width="145" height="126" alt="Planets" usemap="#planetmap" />
<map name="planetmap">
<area shape="rect" coords="0,0,82,126" alt="Sun" href="#" title="<img src='sun.gif'>" />
<area shape="circle" coords="90,58,3" alt="Mercury" href="#" title="<img src='merglobe.gif'>" />
<area shape="circle" coords="124,58,8" alt="Venus" href="#" title="<img src='venglobe.gif'>" />
</map>
Script
$('area').qtip({
position: {
my: 'left center',
at: 'right center',
target: $('img')
}
});
