I'm trying to set up a connection to a Cold Fusion 11 server with cfbuilder 3.
I'm working remotly with an rds set up.
When I start to start the server from the connection, I get this error:
Cannot start or stop myserver. Remote server settings required to start and stop server have not been provided.
I really want to connect it for having access to a debugger.
Is there any suggestion for my problem?
You need need to be running the Admin server instance in the remote ColdFusion server and then add the IP address of the machine where the CF Builder is installed to the security.properties file.
Solution:
Setup the admin server instance. Follow these guidelines
Update the security property of the remote ColdFusion server
Open the {CFHome}/runtime/lib/security.properties file and update the values of jrun.subnet.restriction and jrun.trusted.hosts with the IP address of computer where ColdFusion Builder is installed. Alternatively, you can use the asterisk wildcard (*) as the IP address value, to allow the server to start and stop without any restriction.

I am trying to run this project on Ubuntu 18.04 server. I am running both server and client on this machine. Then from windows 10 with port 9000 I am getting access to client in my chrome browser at http://localhost:8000/#/
The browser loads the project but the problem is I can't log into the website with trusted account and some other data do not get loaded . When I see browser console I see an error message saying:
Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

VPN has been used to connect to server via PuTTY.

By default, the Flask development environment uses 127.0.0.1 (localhost), which restricts access to processes on the same host (except for VMs/containers, which aren't a factor here).
To access Flask from outside of localhost (e.g., from your Windows 10 machine), use the IP address 0.0.0.0. (You can pass it to run(), or via a command line option of the flask command.
However, do note the warnings about (not) using the development environment for production use.
I have the following setup in my DEV environment which is running on Windows 10 (which should be irrelevant).
Homestead with Virtual box to develop my Laravel applications
on my local OS I have a IBM Domino server running as dev1.mydomain.local
I'm trying to access the REST API on the Domino server from my Laravel installations. At the moment I'm getting 404 errors when trying because the domino server is not available from within the VirtualBox of Homestead.
Here is the network configuration of the homestead virtual box
Both webservers Domino and nginx on the virtual box are running on standard ports

How can I make that possible?
UPDATE:
It just came to me that I am able to access the Domino server with LDAP, so perhaps changing the http and https port of the Domino server is already the answer...
I will test that and then get back here...
Changing the Port of the Domino server to 8080 enable me to access the server's REST API
dev1.mydomain.local:8080/api/data/
The connection to the local machine seems to be enable through the VirtualBox's second network adapter and the my call to the REST API got confused with the 2 web servers listening to the same port on localhost(127.0.0.1)
Update
although I was kind of able to connect to the server using the address above, still left me with the problem that authentication wasn't possible. In order to do so (and I have not the slightest idea why), I had to change to the local IP address of my PC to access the REST services

I am able to access the link http://localhost/men/tops-men/jackets-men.html successfully from my VM (configured using X2Go client).
IP Address of the VM: 10.146.106.204
I am also able to ping the VM successfully from my host machine (Windows).
The page that I am trying to access is a php page deployed on Apache Web Server.
However I am not able to do so from my Windows host machine.
I tried http://10.146.106.204/men/tops-men/jackets-men.html from my Windows machine but it did not work.
Do I have to configure something on my host machine or on my VM ?
Not sure what I am missing.
On VM check you can view http://10.146.106.204/men/tops-men/jackets-men.html
If not you need to configure the web server to listen on that IP (if you're running IIS this is under "bindings" in the right-hand side panel of IIS Manager).
On Host open a cmd window and check you can ping 10.146.106.204
If not check your firewall settings on the VM.
If neither of these 2 things help then you need to add more information about your setup to the question. Those are 2 very simple things you can do to diagnose 2 basic problems you might be having.

Updated the DB table core_config_data and updated the data by replacing http://localhost with http://ip-of-vm and then restarted the apache web server.
I am using Neo4j graph database. Its running on Windows PC at url: http://localhost:7474/browser/. Now I want to get access to this server from machine running Ubuntu OS, so that I can access Neo4j browser and can use it for development purpose as well.
Here is what you need to do: -
Uncomment "org.neo4j.server.webserver.address" and provide a valid IP-Address on which you want to bind your neo4j http service at port 7474 in your neo4j-server.properties and restart your neo4j server.
Try accessing you Neo4j server on local machine by entering URL - http://:7474/ (Do not use localhost).
Switch off all firewalls and ensure :7474 is accessible from any remote machine. You may test it with Telnet too.
In case all the above works then you are done and your Neo4j server is accessible from remote machine.
I think you'll need to configure your conf/neo4j-server.properties file to allow access from non-localhost addresses. Here's the relevant part of my file:

I am on the 'Configure Build/Deploy' step, and am attempting to connect to a named instance of SQL Server 2008R2 that I just installed, called DEVELOPMENT. Assuming the server name is DB-01, I am using DB-01\DEVELOPMENT as the Server name in the dialog in the screenshot below. I'm also using the remaining settings in the dialog, but it keeps giving me the following error:
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while
establishing a connection to the SQL Server. The server was not found
or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and
that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider:
TCP Provider, error: 0 - A connection attempt failed because the
connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or
established connection failed because connected host has failed to
respond.)
DEV is the name of a database I created on the DEVELOPMENT instance. If I use DB-01 as the server name, which is the default instance, it connects. In the past, we've been developing from a database on the default instance, with no issues, but I'm trying to move to local, source-controlled databases. What am I missing with this not connecting?
EDIT: As a little more context, it's not the username/pw combination, or the existence of the DEV db on the instance, because I receive different errors if either of those are incorrect. It's simply not able to connect once I give it the named instance.
Figured it out:
The default instance of SQL Server (called MSSQLSERVER in some places) uses port 1433 by default for incoming connections, which was opened in Windows Firewall. This is why I was able to connect to the default instance (DB-01). If you've created a named instance of SQL Server, by default these instances use port 1434 for incoming connections. These are TCP ports for each case. Well, I have to admit that I opened TCP port 1434 in Windows Firewall and still was not able to connect to the named instance remotely, and still am not sure why this was the case. So instead, I opened up a random port (6969) in Windows Firewall, and configured the DEVELOPMENT (named) instance to accept incoming connecting over that port only. For instructions on how to configure specific SQL Server instances to use ports other than the default, see this article:

Once I configured the instance to use port 6969, I was able to connect with no issue. Hope this helps others that are having a similar/same issue.
