I'm trying to run my Virtual machine Android 5.1.1 Google Nexus 4 but it gives this error:
Unable to start virtual device.
VirtualBox Cannot start the virtual device.
I have virtualisation enabled. How can I fix this?
This error seems to be detected within Windows10, I managed to fix it by opening Genymotion from your desktop access by enabling the execution of administrator.
Verify that you have the latest version installed, I hope this helps you.
Sorry for my bad English
I had the same issue and this fixed it:
Go to Control Panel / Programs / Turn Windows features on or off
Disable/Uncheck "Hyper-V"
Click "OK" and restart PC.

When i tried to install an apk in genymotion by drag & drop i faced the above issue. I tried by unchecking Verify apps over USB under Developer settings & verifier_verify_adb_installs 0. But none worked. Please suggest
Is your APK for x86 (i.e. it contains lib/x86)? Genymotion VDs arch is x86, not ARM.
I'm on windows 10 and I'm encountering Docker on Windows crashing on startup.
I just installed docker on windows and have a couple of containers spinning up (last night). I've been able to use it but after reboot, or shutdown, this was the behaviour ever since. Pretty unstable.
It looks like this and terminates after a while without any prompt of an error.
More info that I have Hyper-V installed on my machine and "Use the WSL 2 based engine" option enabled on docker.
On my end, I was able to solve this by:
Going to Apps & Features
Search for Ubuntu (or any linux distro you've installed)
Click on it and navigate to Advance options
Click on Reset button.
Also, try to trial and error which docker on windows version is stable with your system.
Hope that helps.
My notebook has an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor and I'm trying to use the emulator in Android Studio and I can't get it to work properly. Most of the time the emulator only works the first time it runs when it is created. Some of the recurring problems is that even when running, it does not appear in the flutter device selection. After some research I found out that the solution may be to activate two Windows features: virtual machine platform and windows hypervisor platform. However I am not able to activate because after clicking on the checkbox and giving ok. This message returns to me: "an error has occurred. Not all features have been successfully activated". Does anyone know how I can resolve to have these features activated?
I am using an AMD PC as well and had the same issue. There were drivers that had to be configured and didn't work as expected. The workaround I did was to use genymotion as an emulator. The setup didn't require major setting changes. Here is the link to it :

I have VMware and windows 10 installed on a virtual machine on my Macbook Pro. I have an ISO file of windows 10 mounted and sometimes when I restart windows and expect it to restart I'm prompted with the "install windows screen" instead.
It scares the shit out of me. Why is this happening? There seem to be some kind of delay as it seems to auto-magically open windows when I try again.
This morning I thought I had to restart windows all over again and go through 3 days of headache (setting up / installing programs etc), but then I went on a meeting and then it worked. Any thoughts?
Changing the BIOS boot order to ignore the CD-ROM should fix the issue.
However, is there any reason you have the ISO mounted still?
I think it was the iso file on the host, it is mounted. And delete your snapshots.

To solve INSTALL_FAILED_CPU_ABI_INCOMPATIBLE on Genymotion, download following Zip files:
Arm Translation Installer
GApps
from this site http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2528952
First drag&drop Arm Translation Installer zip file to virtual android machine
Press OK for the warning
Reboot virtual android machine
Drag&drop GApps to virtual android machine
(May took around 15 seconds to copy the files as GApps is around 350MB)
Reboot your virtual android machine.
Here you go, install your APK now!
Gapps for Lolipop download link:

Genymotion is supporting x86 only.
The error means that your apks does not support x86 architecture (probably only ARM).
You may be able to install it manually : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2528952
