I am trying to create windows phone app.
Can I use RSS feed from sites like techcrunch and thenextweb
Will you be monetizing your app? If not then you should be able to use the feeds with no problem.
If you plan to monetize your app, then there may be additional terms you need to comply to, but I cannot find any terms relating to the RSS feeds anywhere, so it's likely not to be an issue.
TechCrunch uses Google Feedburner to supply their RSS feed, so you might want to look at Google's terms of service.

I am using Facebook ads, Google ads, and an MMP for other networks. I just need to track installs as conversions. I do not serve ads in the app.
My MMP is saying that you cannot have multiple SDKs sending info to SKAdNetwork because it will post back inaccurate information. I have not read this anywhere else.
It says you should only have one SDK posting conversions to SKAdNetwork.
Screenshot of MMP's Blog post saying this
My question is do I need to remove or disable Facebook and Google's registration to SKAdNetwork within my app so they don't post conversions to SKAdNetwork?
OR
Is it ok that all 3 SDKs post to SKAdNetwork?
You technically only need to send one conversion value update and there will be some side effects if you send more than one (though if you handle all your app specific use cases then this might not matter).
Apple will send SKAN CVs to each of the networks you are using for optimization purposes so you shouldn't need to worry about that. I'd personally recommend that you streamline your own app flow to handle SKAN postbacks directly to Apple once.
SKAN 4.0 might make it more difficult if you send multiple CVs from different parties. The new features around multiple postbacks can now get sent to the ad networks based on cohort date and this could affect the optimizations that each of the ad networks use.
I'm successfully using Google Places API to get details like name, address, phone, lat/lng, opening hours, etc. No problem with that.
However, the data I can't get a hold of is the deeper data.
For example, if you open up a McDonald's, and click on its short description, it will show things like Amenities, Crowd, Atmosphere, Accessibility.
Question is - is it possible to access this information via Places API?
Thanks
According to the documentation. That information is not returned by the API. You can link directly to that place on Google Maps to show your users that information though.
Remember that APIs like this usually don't return all of the information available to the native service so that the native service (in this case Google Places) retains a competitive advantage.
Is there any php API to gather information about a business(address, reviews) by its phone number from Yelp, Google, Insiderpages, Yahoo..
Please help, i have done research about these, but did't get the right info, though yelp is providing info by it's phone number but there they ask ywsid as mendatory (http://api.yelp.com/phone_search?phone=1234567890&ywsid=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) but i want by phone number only.
Please note that all APIs have terms, most of them won't allow you to store their data in your own database and most of them have display requirements, before proceeding with any developing please read carefully their display requirements and terms.
Depending on your project you might not be allowed to use the data as you might need/want to on your project.
The other alternative would be scrapping sites, but most sites have rules against scraping too...
And again read a lot before putting too effort on something you are prohibited to in first place.
Yelp
ywsid = API key, you need to get your own key if you are using the yelp API, get it here
if you are using it to add it to your own database or storing the information anywhere it is against their policies display requirements & api terms.
if you are using any API you must read their terms before even thinking of doing anything.
Google Places
API
Insiderpages
I Don't think they have one but you could use the citygrid API that does a [lot of sites] search at once.
Yahoo
Yahoo API
CityGrid
As mentioned before citygrid API
Foursquare
Foursquare API
Merchant Circle
Merchant Circle API
White Pages
White Pages API
Yellow Pages
Yellow Pages API
Bottom line is, all these companies have put a lot of time and effort and money to build their databases, and they want you to redirect people back to their pages so they can make their money back/profit.
Could anyone help or refer how it can be done..I searched over the net and what i felt is that its only for mobile and websites.
It's for websites. Many of the concepts of web analytics (number of pages viewed for example) don't even make any sense on a desktop app, because they're not organized like a web page.
If you want to use Google analytics data from an analytics account Google provides a data export API.
If you want to track your native application then as Catfish_Man (great name btw!) said, it is not really possible. That isn't totally true, as you could fake it, but the paradigm is so different that you would be better off creating you own solution.
You might want to see this library for GA on desktops
http://code.google.com/p/jgoogleanalytics
Google Analytics doesn't provide a native Mac app integration, but you can use the Measurement Protocol Overview to send raw data to your GA property from your account.
Just create a mobile app property and then start sending raw GA events using HTTP. There are couple Obj-C wrappers available like https://github.com/swisspol/GARawTracker or https://github.com/stephenlind/SimpleCocoaGoogleAnalytics.
All!
I wanted to develop a feature for a blog I wrote myself. I want to grab the search result of Google Images, and display them in a user-friendly way in or beside my blog's posts editor.
So I did some research on code.google.com
I found Google's official AJAX API for Google images. But on its documentation site it says something like this:
Important: The Google Image Search API
has been officially deprecated as of
May 26, 2011. It will continue to work
as per our deprecation policy, but the
number of requests you may make per
day may be limited
I know they can restrict the number of requests I can make by my API key.But..
Can anyone tell me how exactly is this API restricted? like how much traffic or requests is allowed?
Is it possible to use this API to develop a Wordpress plugin that everyone else can use?
