Start the Cordova app from Windows 10 Universal app - windows

I just recently started to explore Windows 10.
My idea is to create a windows 10 Universal app. This app will have a page which show the icons of some cordova apps (These cordova apps will reside in local memory - HTML, CSS, JS). When I click that cordova app icon, then, my universal app should be able to open that cordova app (say, home.html). Subsequently, I will be able to gain the functions of that cordova app(for example, 'take picture')
Could anyone please tell me how to create an universal app which will handle all the cordova stuffs in order to start up the cordova app? (html, css, js)

Why do you want to create a Windows 10 Universal App? If you think to use html, css, js, you should use to Apache Cordova for Visual Studio. For more information and samples:

Difference between Windows App SDK and WinUI 3

I develop many UWP apps to Windows 10, but to Windows 11 I have so many questions and sometimes the Microsoft Docs it's confusing. I want develop new apps to Windows 11 but I am totally lost!
What is the difference between Windows App SDK and WinUI 3? I dont understand :(
And what is the best way to develop Windows 11 apps? Still UWP? Or Windows App SDK? Or WinUI 3?
UWP dont have round corners thats correct? I create a new project in my computer with Windows 11 in visual Studio 2022 and only the window of my app have rounder corners, but another elements (for example buttons) dont have rounded corners!
And Mica is not only availabe in WinUI 3?
The Windows App SDK is the next evolution in the Windows app development platform.
WinUI is the UI part of the Windows App SDK. It provides UI features for the Windows App SDK apps. When you create a Windows app SDK app, you have to use WinUI3 to create the UI layout. The previous version of WinUI like WinUI 2.7 could be used in UWP apps.
Using UWP or Windows App SDK depends on your own requirements and scenario, both of them could work on Windows 11.

Can you publish a Windows 10 (Universal) app from PhoneGap on Mac?

I am looking to develop a Windows 10 Universal app based in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for use on Microsoft Surface tablets primarily. I have found information that says it can be done on this page, but at the very bottom of the page it says it is in beta. However, I can't seem to find anything more than that post. No updates, or documentation or anything. Does anyone know if you can do this from the PhoneGap app on Mac OS?
If not, I guess the next best option it to do it on a Windows machine using Visual Studio 2017 and Cordova?
Any information anyone has on this subject would be helpful.
Thanks!
No, I am pretty sure you can't build UWP apps on macOS. The reason is quite similar as the reason you cannot build iOS apps on Windows - you could build the JS portion of your code, but the problem is the fact that UWP build tools and SDKs are OS specific and unless Microsoft specifically ports them to macOS, they cannot work there.
You could use Parallels and run Windows as second OS, or use a build server to build the app in the cloud. Visual Studio App Center is a very good solution for you purpose as it allows you to configure a full build pipeline including UWP, iOS and Android builds.
You can actually develop a UWP app using phoneGap on Mac if you are building it using web technologies. (HTML, CSS, Javascript) But you can not build/publish the app on Mac, but if you have a Creative Cloud account, you can use Phone Gap Build to upload it to the service and have it built there.

Error when try to deploy in windows phone

I am developing an app with Ionic framework and I need the application in windows phone. When I try to deploy the application with Visual Studio 2015 I get this error the following error:
Installation of the application failed. There are pending operations
in the deployment queue windows phone
I'm searching for solutions but look like if no one have this problem.
Thanks.
The requirements for developing hybrid applications (Android and Windows SDK) in VS 2015 are as following:
Install Apache Cordova.
Download and point to location of Ant.
Download Android SDK and point to the SDK folder path.
Install Windows App Development Tools.
Install Git and point to this path.
Install Common Tools and SDKs.
All of these can be done from the setup. See this page. Additionally, if you have installed them outside of the setup (excluding common tools), you can point to the path from Tools > Options > Tools for Apache Cordova > Environment variables.
Look at this configuration guide to learn more.
Well, I never find an answer to solve this problem so I start a new cordova project from Visual Studio and then I migrate all the application to this new project. This works really fine and now the app is running correctly in windows phone. I highly recommend do this, because the project created from Visual Studio is now the base to the other platforms.

Adding PhoneGap onto Xcode Project Without Using XCode

I was running Windows 7 desktop only. My next project is about a social network app created from my fellow programmer. Check out his XCode project at GitHUB repository right here.
He asked me to convert this iOS compatibile into an Android compatible app so that his created app can now run on Android.
I discovered PhoneGap Build, an online app converter that requires to copy the URL of a GitHub repository and in order to make the conversion successful, I have to implement some kind of PhoneGap engine (Cordova.jar, HTML5 [index.html], and a simple Javascript).
It's preferred to do this in Xcode, but Xcode requires Mac OS X. Is there another way, if it's possible, to add a PhoneGap engine without Xcode?
Here's the reason why I have to update and added the PhoneGap without using XCode since I'm running on Windows 7 before taking a second attempt to convert it using PhoneGap Build. Here's the picture:
PhoneGap allows a developer to build a native application using HTML5 - essentially, the web application is packaged into a native application container that simply renders a webview then loads the index.html from the web app into that webview and passes control to the web app.
There is no conversion of a native iOS application into an Android application.
You do not need Xcode to package PhoneGap apps using PhoneGap Build - all you need is the web content for your app. When you initiate the build process, the Build service packages your web app into native apps for Android, BlackBerry, iOS, webOS, Windows Phone.
You can learn a lot about PhoneGap in my book PhoneGap Essentials - www.phonegapessentials.com.

testing a website in windows phone 7 simulator

I'm trying to test a mobile website I'm building using Windows Phone 7, but I can't figure out how to do it. It seems that the SDK wants me to build an application first in order to use the emulator, but I'm not building an app, I simply want to test compatibility of my mobile site with windows phones. How do I do this?
If you install the free Windows Phone SDK you can run an emulator in standalone mode (i.e. without Visual Studio running).
Search for "Windows Phone Emulator" from the Start menu and just launch that directly.
Once in the emulator about the only thing you can do is launch IE Mobile.
(To enter URLs and other text using your real computer keyboard instead of the onscreen keyboard tap your "Pause/Break" to toggle keyboard mode)
You should be able to run emulator without building an app
try C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows Phone\v7.0\Tools\XDE Launcher\XdeLauncher.exe
If now start visual studio and make an app f.e. Silverlight for Windows 7. Emulator will be loaded with debbuger attached. If you stop the app in VS, emulator should be still there. It has preinstalled IE which you can use to test.
Mind that it's better to test your web app on a real device.
