After R-Studio crashed I lost the rightmost window and can only see the code and runtime windows when I re-open the project.
Is there a setting that I can change in R-Studio that allows the help, environment, plots windows ect. to show to the right of the code & runtime windows again? I've tried view menu Show History/Show Plots/Show Environment/Move focus to help but haven't gotten the window back.
I'm using Windows 10 operating system.
Goto Tools -> Global Options -> Pane Layout and choose the layout of the panes that you want.
This seems to be a rights issue. I get all of my windows back if I run R-Studio in administrator mode.

I am using MacBook Pro , macOS Mojave (10.14.4) . I am not able to toggle between windows of same application .
I tried Command + BackTick but its not working . Tried to change shortcut for "Move focus to next window" , but no luck .
Thanks
Another approach to bring up minimized windows without using 3rd-party app is to use Ctrl + Down (Mission Control's Application windows)
I feel Command + ` should be fixed, it should show minimized windows too. Or yellow traffic light button should default to hidden instead of minimized, so Command + ` can show all windows of same app
Note: Control + Down also works even if all of the windows of an application are minimized
I now disabled Command + ` on my machine. It's confusing to have two shortcuts for basically achieving the same thing.
I think the other windows of your same application are minimized.
Sadly, there's no keyboard shortcut that can show windows of same application if those windows are minimized. Command + Backtick only works on visible windows.
You can bring up the other minimized windows by right clicking the app's icon on the dock, then select the minimized window
UPDATE April 20 2019
Found an application that can bring up minimized windows of same application. App is HyperSwitch. You still need to do command + tab, then wait a second, a preview of all windows of same application will be shown. Then you can press command + backtick to switch to all windows of same application, even the minimized ones.
Found it on https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/2718/best-app-to-switch-between-all-open-windows
Another good option: AltTab
Use option+tab to toggle/switch among applications
To toggle/switch among windows of same application, use: option+`
You can change the option to command on AltTab, doing that, AltTab will override the default command+tab app switcher of macOS

If you turn on "Active Corners" you can make windows of same application pop up if you pull your mouse to the far corner you have activated and assigned to "program windows".....
Sorry for the messy terminology, my system language is set to danish, so the english terms I use here are just guesses.
I came here because I had a similar problem, maybe it helps someone in the future.
For me, it was fixed by reassigning the shortcut for "Move focus to next window" (to the same key combination as before). Not sure why, but it worked for me.
I'm using PyCharm with multiple monitors on Mac OSX (10.10.5), normally you can drag windows off to a separate monitor. In PyCharm that works, but they (and in particular the Run window) snap back to the main monitor.
I've only seen this on the latest PyCharm 5 CE though its possible older versions also had the problem. I've searched all the settings and searched online, but can't find a setting that makes the window stay where it was placed.
Right click on the tab and select View Mode as Window.
Then you can move the window to another monitor.
It's crappy behaviour from the best python IDE out there.
There is a OSX solution but i'm not sure if you will like it:
You can enable old style multiple screen support again in OSX by going to System Preferences, Mission Control and uncheck "Displays have separate spaces". Now your floating windows will not snap back and you can even extend your PyCharm main window over the screens.
The downside of this solution is that you'll have the OSX dock and main menu only on your main monitor. I hope Jetbrains will fix this behaviour soon.
Another way to achieve what you want is to open multiple instances of the project. When you try to open the project for the second time you can choose "open project in new window". You can drag the new window to the second screen; it won't snap back to your primary monitor.
For Ubuntu and Windows users landing up here:
Press Shift + F4 or
Right-click and select 'Move Tab to New Window'
Drag the newly created window to the next screen
The best option is to detach an editor window and drag it to your second monitor.
Photoshop CS2 always stay on top, even when I click another app from the windows taskbar (right of the start button).
It's completly annoying me. Always need minimized, click the other app, reclick again on photoshop, re-reminimized.
I only have 1 screen at work so I can't let photoshop on one screen and work with the other app on the other screen.
I look in all photoshop menu, find nothing
I googled the problem, and find a adobe page explain this problem is a "feature".
I only want photoshop cs2 work all other app on windows and loose focus, let new app appear on top.
Thank you.
I had this problem and somehow solved it. But my solution may be just as fickle as why the problem occurs in the first place. But here's what I did:
On the layers palette (F7) I clicked on the small arrow just below the close "X" button, on the right. Then I selected "Pallete Options"
Didn't change any options but just clicked OK.
Now the entire window remained on top, not just the palettes. So I restarted Photoshop and it seemed to fix the issue.
I found that if you open up "edit > preferences > Memory & Image Cache" and set your memory usage up then it will fix it. I am on a Windows 10.

Go to Edit > Preferences > File Handling > Uncheck Enable Version Cue Workgroup File Management
I literally JUST found this on accident and fixed it after having issues with all my toolbars being hidden behind stuff, and not being able to minimize without clicking on the PS window first etc. Seems to have worked!
Topmost Toggle will help you: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Desktop-Enhancements/Other-Desktop-Enhancements/TopmostToggle.shtml
Works for CS2 even in Win8
Try Topmost Toggle. Works on Window 7, Window 8 and even Windows 8.1. I use it for disabling Photoshop CS2 and when Firefox bug out. Works like a charm and it's pretty easy to use:
Download and extract Topmost Toggle
Run the program - you will see that it minimize on tray
Ctr + Right click on your program and click
Enjoy!
Big thanks to user2761076
I am having same issue with CS2 on Windows 7 64 bit. To work around, I hit tab on keyboard when photoshop window is active, that makes all pallets invisible, then I can switch to any window I need to work on.
As per this article there seem to be issue with Microsoft update https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2142314
I am working on a computer that is running WinXP but is using the classic windows start menu. I've googled, but all I can find is how to change the Windows XP and/or Win7 Start Menu TO Classic Start Menu, but not how to change it BACK to Windows XP (Windows 7 has a utility to download to this). There's no option for it in the control panel either...just Windows Classic Style or Windows Standard views. I tried "taskbar and Start Menu" and although I see the new blue chrome design in the dialog box, it does not change the classic look to that Win XP look. Does anybody know how to do this? Thanks!
See your first screenshot. First radio button is for XP Menu.
I'm learning Xcode off a slightly older (10.2) book that deals with Project Builder. I've been using Xcode for ansi C for a while, but I can't find the output window that appears when you Build & Run an app. I am launching my apps from the commandline, but of course that doesn't help me if I want to set breakpoints or something. Where is the program output window that should appear when I build & run. Do I have it hidden or something ? Why can't I find it ?
Shift-Cmd-R brings up the output window.
There are a few windows that you should know about:
Debugger Console (keyboard shortcut = Shift-Cmd-R): This will show you any console output and you can click the breakpoints button to break into the GDB console debugger
Debugger (keyboard shortcut = Shift-Cmd-Y): This is the debugger window that shows your breakpoints with the source and includes table views for local variables and the stack
Breakpoints window (keyboard shortcut = Option-Cmd-B): This is a nifty window to find and manage breakpoints in a project
This cocoaheads talk has a lot of useful info about debugging with xcode.
Hope this helps.
