On one of Client we have Dynamics 365 CE On Premises V 9.0.4xxx.
Environment is Development, single CRM server installation having claim based authentication using ADFS. Database and Reporting Services is on another server.
We are facing some performance issues, when we investigated we found that CRM Async Service is getting crashed with the last message which says that
"The locator service failed to connect to the configuration database (MSCRM_CONFIG). The error was: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): Invalid object name 'Datacenter'."
We enabled the CRM Trace Logs and found that Asynch Service is trying to query in the database against Datacenter object which is not to be found. We investigated on many other environments and this table, view or synonym is not to be found in any of the instances. Searched on Internet and though many users faced this issue but didn't found any solution. As a last resort from our end we are in process to move to latest release of Dynamics 365 CE which is 9.1.3.11 in hope if that is a product issue, it might already solved.

I tried rebuilding, of course, with no success.
It happens for blank apps, when I open MainPage.xaml.
One thing that bothers me is that the supposed version of System.Runtime in this error report is 0.0.0.0, could that be a good hint for solving this?
I was able to resolve a similar error by checking "Automatically check for missing packages during build in Visual Studio" (the "Allow NuGet to download missing packages" was already checked), then rebuilding. You can find these settings in Tools --> NuGet Package Manager --> Package Manager Settings.
After updating to the latest version of visual studio 2015, I am unable to use the XAML designer due to the fact that each time I attempt to open it a screen appears to inform me that a NullReferenceException has occurred.
I have tried the solution detailed in the post below, However, as I am not a HP user this solution didn't work for me.

You can either do this for all the code in the constructor or try to narrow it down so you only have the test round the minimum possible code. Alternatively you should look at moving that code out of the constructor into an OnLoaded event handler.
The same thing happened to me. I deleted the .vs, bin, obj directories in the project and it worked.
I have a Web application in SharePoint 2013 which is HTTPS. I have powerpivot installed and it is working fine when I try to access the PowerPivot Gallery with the port number.
For e.g. https://servername:45176/sites/bi/pp2/Forms/Gallery.aspx. Everything is working fine.
But when I try to accesss the same https://servername/sites/bi/pp2/Forms/Gallery.aspx without port number I am getting the error.
Appreciate any help or pointer to fix the issue.

This issue is resolved.
Here goes the solution:
If the web application is running on any other port apart from 443 (as the case here is the we app was running under: https://servername:45176/)then please deploy the solution "powerpivotwebapplication.wsp" on the web application running on port 443.
For me it resolve the issue and the PowerPivot Gallery start rendering without the error.
