How can I search apps by ProjectID or ClientID within Google? - google-api

I wonder if you could advise me? I have the ClientID of an application on Google, and I believe the first 12 characters refers to the projectID. My goal is to identify the name of the application.
Is there an API method that can be utilised to do this?

Client id has no relation that I can see between the project id. It can be anything.
To answer your question you cant use client id and project Id to try and figure out what project a client id was generated for. I even checked ID Token to see if maybe that had information about the project it doesn't appear to either.
There is only one API that I am aware that allows you access to the projects on Google Developer console. It is called the Google Cloud Resource Manager API and it is extremely limited it doesn't list client id's associated with a project just the project. Google Developer console API is a post I did about that API not long after it was released.

How to get the get API path and parameters of Google play developer API?

I have added a non-renewable subscription for one of my projects. We also started implementing the Google play developer API to get the subscription latest status from the Play Store. For that we have done the below steps as per this blog:
Linked the developer account to a new Google Cloud Project.

My Google API keeps returning a limit reached error, when I am sure I am under the limit

I am currently building a NodeJS backend app that is querying the Google Calendar API. I have setup a new project on Google Cloud API platform and have generated all the required credentials. As stated by the google calendar API page, the allowed queries per day is 1,000,000. Since I am only querying for testing purposes at the moment, I am sure that I haven't even hit a 100. Yet whenever I try to query the API it returns the error:
"The API returned an error: Error: Daily Limit for Unauthenticated Use Exceeded. Continued use requires signup."
Also I have noticed that the dev console has generated a API key for me. Where am I supposed to put that?
My initial thinking is that Google API requires me to perform an additional signup using some CLI tools or something along those lines to signup. If not, where am I supposed to sign up?

In "Error: Daily Limit for Unauthenticated Use Exceeded", they key word is Unauthenticated. Your request to the Calendar API is missing an OAuth Access Token. You will need to research Google OAuth.

To anyone who comes across this post in the future. I fixed the issue by using the project generated by Google Calendar API site (https://developers.google.com/calendar/quickstart/nodejs) by clicked the big blue "Enable the google calendar api" and then changing the name of the quickstart project that was generated. I don't know why it works now but it does and it's been working quite stably so far. Lets see how to goes.

integrating third party application with Dynamics CRM

I'm trying to integrate third party application with the dynamics CRM.
Authenticate the Dynamics User > Importing all the users data into third party application is my target.
But I'm unable to find the proper way to do this. I have gone through the developer docs but didn't find the solution. Can anyone please help me with this ?
Thanks for the clarification. You can get the Web API URL from Settings > Customization > Developer Resources > Instance Web API.
It will be something like:
https://myOrg.api.crm.dynamics.com/api/data/v9.1/
Using that URL you can query the system and get JSON results.
Going to the root URL will give you the collection name (a.k.a. EntitySetName) of all the entities in the system (which for users is systemusers).
Generally the EntitySetName will be the plural of the entity (i.e. just add 's'), but there are some quirky rules for making plurals so its best to confirm the entity set name via the API or a tool like XrmToolbox's Metadata Browser.
The most basic query for users would be:
https://myOrg.api.crm.dynamics.com/api/data/v9.1/systemusers
It will return all fields of all users.
To get a set of fields:
https://myOrg.api.crm.dynamics.com/api/data/v9.1/systemusers?$select=salutation,fullname,jobtitle,createdon,internalemailaddress
To add a couple filters:
https://myOrg.api.crm.dynamics.com/api/data/v9.1/systemusers?$select=salutation,fullname,jobtitle,createdon,internalemailaddress&$filter=isdisabled%20eq%20false%20and%20address1_line1%20ne%20null
Of course you have to do this with Java's XmlHttpRequest. When querying data you can use HTTP GET.
To test the above queries quickly you can simply login to the D365 web client then paste a query into the browser's address bar.
You may also want to check out Jason Lattimer's CRMRESTBuilder. While it doesn't build Java, it gives you a UI to create JavaScript XmlHttpRequests, which you can then translate to Java.

How to bulk update "Authorized JavaScript Origins" in Google API Console?

Currently, I have been tasked to utilize the Google People API to ask for a user's basic Google information along with their public phone numbers. So far the results have been positive.
The solution my team and I have incorporated the Google People API integration in has the capacity to be utilized across thousands of domains. As a result, my question is simply, How can my team members and I ensure that any our clients that utilize our solution with their own particular domain get our new functionality built with the Google People API?
Keep in mind, our clients have the flexibility to have http/https and any subdomain on their site. Entering each domain possibility for our client base one by one would not be an easy task. I'm seriously hoping there is a solution around the single, explicit origin entries.

Warning:
You must remember that if this is source code you are giving your clients that you are not allowed to release your client id and client secret. This includes plugins and scripts.
On November 5th 2014 Google made some changes to the APIs terms of Service.
Asking developers to make reasonable efforts to keep their private
keys private and not embed them in open source projects.
So if your clients could view the code of your application and see your client id and secret you should not be giving it to them.

Recommendation:
The best solution for you will be to instruct your users now to create there own project on Google Developer Console and create their own JS origins.
You may just have to provide your own wrapper around the target API where you authorize the client request yourself and then do the request from Google using your own credentials.

Can't link google play game services to an app because the client id is in use. However there is no app using that id

I'm trying yo update a game on google play to support leaderboards and achievements. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rightpedalstudios.dragonseason)
However, when I go to link the app I get the message "This client ID is globally unique and is already in use."
I've searched online for people who have had the same problem and the advice they are given is to delete the client ID in the developer console, and if the app has been deleted there then undelete it first. However, there is nothing in the console using the ID, nor is there any deleted apps. As far as I can tell there is no app using the client id.
I did find another person asking a similar question here that was never answered.

I also get the message "The signing fingerprint you specified is already used by another Android OAuth2 client." When I try to set up a client ID from the developer console. (I know I'm not meant to do that if I'm using google play games, I just wanted to check if it failed from there too.)
I've tried contacting google support, I was directed to the google API support, and then directed here.
Two other developers that have worked on this project could have somehow created a client ID. Although I have contacted them and neither of them recall creating one.
Is there anyway to find out where this client ID is being used?
You have to delete the client id in the Google API console (now confusingly renamed the Google Developers Console !). Then you can link the app to the game straight away. I have just done this, and it worked fine for me. I wanted to link an existing app to a different game, so I deleted both the debug and prod(release) definitions and was able to immediately link the app to the new game.
Note that for many of us, doing work on Google Play Game Services in the Google API console is a last resort - many of us have encountered Google related bugs in the past by doing this !
