I have a tree view, where the new items are placed above of all. Instead of that, I need to place the new item at the end of other items. Moreover, if the order of the new items is wrong I need to set them in the correct order
Where is this order configured? I need to change it
Update
The "editable" property has two options are: top and bottom. I did not know the top choice then I thought I had configured editable="bottom" which was not correct. I just switched to bottom and it worked properly
If you want to change the order of a tree or list you have mainly two options:
You can order the table using the attribute _order in your model. Link
_order = "name, date_order desc"
If you are using Odoo v8-v15 you can add an attribute default_order in a specific tree view. Link
<tree default_order="sequence,name desc">
Is that what you're looking for?

I use google appMaker for a short time.
I have a dropdown of several rooms and when a room is selected, I want it to no longer appear in this list.
Where do I need to set the code?
Thank you.
You may try using a calculated model containing the values used in the dropdown (by binding them as presented in the documentation), and as the user selects them, you can delete the selected from the datasource.
Is there a way to add a field into the valuePicker with the possibility of adding new values in it? The valuePicker get's the values from a view, and I wouldn't want to add another addButton to add some values withing that view, in separate way. I would like a dialogBox like the valuePicker + the option to add new documents withing it. It is possible?
That functionality isn't available in the Value Picker. It's unlikely to be added, because of the variety of dataProviders, which makes it difficult to know where to add the option to make it available to other documents, and also ensure validation of options.
Typeahead on an Edit Box control allows you to add entries not in the list.
Alternatively, you can add a separate Edit Box to your XPage to include a value not in the list. But if you want to store the new option in the same field, you'll need to write the code to add the option to the source of the list. E.g. if it's the dataProvider of your Value Picker is a dominoViewValuePicker, you'll need to create a document in that view as well; if it's a simpleValuePicker, you'll need to compute the options so they also look to this field. Otherwise, when the user edits the document again, the option will not be available in the list, so may get removed.
Why do you want the user to insert new values into a field in valuePicker? Instead, let the user add the new value direct into the field which is the valuePicker related to.
In drupal I have created a view to display node's title and added exposed filter for filtering content. When the view page is loaded it is returning two nodes, I do not know on what basis it is returning those two nodes. I want no result to be displayed until I select some value in filter. Please suggest?
Views is a query builder that starts with the simplest, broadest possible query, and filters are required to narrow that query to include only the items you wish. If you are familiar with SQL syntax, the default query would look something like this:
SELECT title, body FROM 'node'
This is why you're seeing two nodes when you load the page. There's no filter applied, so it's showing everything.
In order to get your View to only display items once the user has selected a value with the exposed filter, go into the Advanced > Exposed Form > Exposed Form Style and select Input required. I have tested this using Views 7.x-3.7 and I believe it will give you the behaviour you're looking for.
Using extjs 4.1.1
I have a grid with lots of columns >20.
Initially, most of these columns are hidden.
If a user wants to unhide the column, they select the menu on any column, then select the "columns" choice, this expands another dropdown/dropout which shows all of the columns. Those with checkboxes next to them are shown.
My issue is this:
The columns in the dropdown are shown in the order in which they are defined/displayed in the grid. The order in which they are displayed in the grid has been chosen for a good reason( e.g. id as the first column). However, when a user wants to display one of the hidden columns, it is hard for them to find it in the list. This is because the list is sorted in the order the columns are defined. I want to sort the column dropdown/dropout list in alphabetical order, without effecting the order of the columns in the grid.
How can this done?
I think I found the solution to your question.
First of all I don't have the Ext JS 4.1.1. framework on my current PC. So I tried to figure out you problem reading the Ext JS 4.1.3. documentation available on Sencha's site. But I don't think that they have made drastical changes in this part of the framework between the two minor releases so my solution should work in your case too.
I have tried out my solution using JSFiddle. Unfortunately they did not have the 4.1.1. ext-all.css file, so I have linked manually the 4.0.2 file available at Sencha, so the menu is looking a bit missplaced.
The header menu and it's submenus are managed by the Ext.grid.header.Container class. The column submenu is constructed by the getColumnMenu method. The whole menu is purged and reconstructed on every drag and drop or other event which should affect the grid view. As a result it is enough to overwrite this method in order to solve the problem. Because the headercontainer class is too deep in the framework it is hard to extend it, so you have to make use of the Ext.base.override method.
The column submenu's menu items are created from the result of the
items = headerContainer.query('>gridcolumn[hideable]')
query. So you have to first sort alphabetically the result, before creating the menu items. I have added to the class the sortColumns method which does all the sorting stuff.
So here is what I did: link to my solution.

I have a class named as transaction in which one attribute is transactionDate which is of type NSDate.
I am using NSArrayController to display a list of transactions in a table view.
My requirement is-
I want to show date in first row in a
text field labeled as "From" and date
in last row in a text field labeled as
"To".
My questions is-
Can I achieve this via binding in IB?
If yes then how?
Thanks,
Miraaj
Yes, you can do this (or something like it), see the #min and #max array operators.
Here's how to do a very simple version of this:
Open Interface Builder - create a new application
Add an NSArrayController, set it to automatically prepare content.
Add a Table, label the two columns "name" and "age"
Add a Button (labelled "+") and two Labels (change name to maxval, minval)
Wire up the NSArrayController bindings as follows:
Here's the application running (just in interface builder "simulate" mode). To use it, click + then click on the top row of the table and put a name in the first column and an age in the second. Then repeat for a few more people.
This all looks a bit cryptic, but it is sufficient. I added the labels "Max Age" and "Min Age" for clarity in my version.
Unfortunately this is not something Bindings is particularly good at. You could achieve it but it would be very hacky.
The NSTableViewDataSource protocol is still a perfectly relevant and valid way to provide data to a table. In cases like these (where you're not just presenting a straight-vanilla set of uniform data to a table) the data source protocol is the only sane way to solve the problem. This way you're in complete control of what the table displays.
The only "hard" part is that, if you're using Core Data, your data source class will need to observe the Managed Object Context for changes and reload the data (either -reloadData to refresh the whole table or use -reloadDataForRowIndexes:columnIndexes: to cherry pick the rows you want to refresh).
