Creating a Google Develper's Account - google-api

I'm having no luck in trying to create a Google Developer's Account. I appreciate instructions have been posted in Stackoverflow in the past but the process or web pages have since changed. I've been to the Developer's Console and created a Project but I can't access the Project itself. My objective is to create the Developer's Account to get the API key to code the service into a client-server application that includes geocoding - reverse, and address lookup to return latitude and longitudes. Thereafter, I wish to be able to advise my clients how they can create client accounts to access the service. Any step-by-step advice would be appreciated.

Debugging permission denied in Cloud Firestore SDK (Golang)

I am experienced in working with AWS but this is my first foray onto Google cloud and I am stuck on how to debug it properly. I am building a simple experimental setup, using Cloud Firestore to store some data and planning to do some small API functions to query it.
I am inputting my information from a Go app, which I built using the official SDK for Go. Everything builds fine, but when I run it I see nothing other than rpc error: code = PermissionDenied desc = Missing or insufficient permissions..
I have tried setting the authentication to open in the Firestore rules console (allow read, write: if true), but I still see the same error, so it seems to be an issue with the credentials I have generated rather than Firestore itself.
The credentials in question were generated in the main Google Cloud Console, under Service Accounts. I've saved it out as a JSON file and am loading this into the app via option.WithCredentialsFile() which is then passed into the NewFirestoreWriter() constructor.
It's far from obvious, to me at least, exactly how to configure the permissions on the Service Account as it seems to work quite differently from Amazon IAM. I was expecting to find a way to add on specific actions related to Firestore but I can't find anything at all like that once the service account is created. Under Permissions, it looks like I can associate other accounts with the service account, which seems to be the other way around to what I want to do. Or do I need to assume another identity once I have the service account in order to do anything, a la Amazon STS? Or am I barking up the wrong tree here?
I am running locally while I am playing with the apps, planning to think about deployment later.
I guess my questions are:
Should I be using a different form of credential when making programmatic writes to Firestore?
What permissions need to be on the credential that I am using?
How do the Google Service Account permissions interact with the Firestore access rules, or are they completely separate?
Thanks in advance for your help.
I finally worked out the answer. Turns out I was reading some of the screens too fast....
The programmatic approach with the credential was fine, but the service account setup was not.
In case anyone else has a similar issue, the fix was to:
Go to "Access" under IAM (NOT identity). Coming from AWS this confused me a little because I was expecting roles to be a sublevel to identity rather than a seperate level
Click the Edit button next to the service account
Add the Cloud Datastore User and Cloud Datastore Owner roles (I'll work on trimming down permissions now it's working!). This confused me particularly because I was looking for "Firestore" or "Cloud Firestore", and there is the very similarly named "Cloud Filestore" which tripped me up.
After a few seconds, it started working.
According to https://cloud.google.com/firestore/docs/reference/libraries?_ga=2.87049368.-1865513281.1592929406#server_client_libraries,
In this environment, requests are not evaluated against your Firestore security rules
So I reset my access permissions in Firebase back to allow read, write: if false.

YouTube API Quota Extension for research

I need an extension to my YouTube API quota allotment to conduct research for my dissertation. I have been trying to get an estimate of the available resources and costs for extensions for an NSF grant but have not been able to get in contact with a human for several weeks despite filing the quota extension form.
Currently, I've been trapped in a loop with the youtube API compliance team where they continuously ask me for the following info.
In order to proceed further, please provide us the following information:
Provide API Client link and demo credentials
Screenshots and/or video recording(s) that clearly demonstrates how your API Client and its users access and use the YouTube API Services.
Documents relating to your implementation, access and use of YouTube API Services.
I have attached the required responses mulitple times and still receive the same message. For the first I have attached my python code for accessing the API (the only usage of the service), the second I have attached the pictures of the terminal window and the data output, for the third I have attached the project summary, description, and data collection plan for the project plus the first paper I published using the limited quota on YouTube.
I've repeatedly asked to be connected with a human to go through their needs but have had no response. The project has received a great deal of interest in the Economics community and I am under a great deal of pressure to continue the work, it is very stressful for a graduate student to bear especially when barred by an automated response. Please help D:

Using free google api plan for Bitrix24

recently my company started using Bitrix24 as an intranet portal. Our employees use google drive and calendar synchronization between their google accounts (private ones, not gsuite). Few days ago I received an email from google:
We have contacted Bitrix24 support, but they could not give us any specifics with regards to this email and pointed out to contact google. Free google plans do not really have helpdesk support and point to sites like stackoverflow for help.
We do not really know what to do in this situation, as we have very little knowledge about google developer console. One of us just used his account to set up a project and provide OAuth to sync google accounts with bitrix24.
Several months ago google started releasing security changes enacted to help ensure that users data is secure. Due to this all developers with applications running risky scopes must apply for application verification
The developer who has created this application, probably the same person who received that email must click the link and submit the application. Once your project is approved you will not have any more issues. I suggest you begin the process now as it may take sometime for you to compete the process.

How to set local database for google safe browsing update API (v4)?

I am building a service for checking for phishing or malware URLs for one of my applications. This service will be running on google app engine. Now, I want to use google safe browsing's Update API (v4) to have local database of URL hashes. But I am having hard time to understand the setup process of the local database they have mentioned.
https://developers.google.com/safe-browsing/v4/local-databases
They do provide a Go source code to do something of this sort but its not descriptive enough to have my own implementation.
I want to setup the db on google cloud itself. Can anyone point me to any good documentation or some ways to do the same if you have tried this before.
you can use:
"https://safebrowsing.googleapis.com/v4/threatListUpdates:fetch?key=" + apiKey;
to download hash version database.
you may need send a post request to get the database according to https://developers.google.com/safe-browsing/v4/reference/rest/v4/threatListUpdates/fetch

Give collaborator access to analytics only

We would like to be able to provide a collaborator with access to our analytics only. Is this possible?
It's quite important for our marketing and business development colleagues to be able to access analytics, while at the same time not have access to the data browser and cloud code.
It is not possible currently on Parse.
You should raise this as a feature request on Parse developer forums https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/parse-developers
