I want to freeze the bottom row of my grid. I'm thinking of writting a row attrribute for it. Something like this:
"rowattr": function (rd) {
if (rd.islocked) {
return {"frozen":"true"};
}
}
Will something like this actually work ? I looked at the example here, but it didn't work for me.
This is the first time I'm using Jqgrid, so I hva eno idea how to do this. Any help is welcomed. :)
I suppose, you should just use the footer/summary row of jqGrid. By adding footerrow: true option you will inform jqGrid to create additional "footer row" at the bottom of the grid. To fill the row with data you can either use the method footerData. It's the way manual filling the footer row. Alternatively you can use userdata part of input data (or set userData parameter) and to use userDataOnFooter: true option. In the second way jqGrid will fill the footer using userdata as input.

I'm developing an app using the amazing angularslickgrid.
Till now, i haven't got any problem, buy I found out an strange behaviour on it.
In the ngOnInit I wrote the following code:
ngOnInit(){
this.defineGridHeaders();
this.defineGridOptions();
this.obtainData();
}
Till this moment everything works well and the grid load correctly the data including the RowSelection column.
The problem is when I try to change the columndefinition, and perfrom a reset() like this:
this.defineGridHeaders();
this.angularGrid.gridService.resetGrid();
The new colums have been loaded correctly but i lose the rowSelection column.. :(
I've tried to include the defineGridOptions() function in the middle of the defineGridHeaders() and resetGrid() but the result is the same.
In the this.defineGridHeaders() I just perfom the following:
this.columnDefinitions = [];
[...FIELDS CREATION...]
const col = {
id,
name,
field,
sortable,
filterable,
type,
editor,
formatter,
filter,
outputType,
params,
minWidth: minwidth,
width: width,
header: header,
excludeFromExport,
excludeFromGridMenu,
excludeFromQuery,
excludeFromHeaderMenu
};
this.columnDefinitions.push(col);
Could someone help me on this?
Many Thanks!
Please note that I'm the author of Angular-Slickgrid and you opened an issue with the same question on GitHub, I'll simply reply with the same answer here
a reset is a reset, so it won't keep that. But I added the Row Selection in the Grid State not that long ago, so you could get it from there (just check the Grid State/Presets - Wiki. Dynamically adding a new column can be seen in this Example 3, you should look at the code on how to make it show up correctly (you can't just add it, you need to manually trigger a dirty change call, look at the example code for that)
Also to add a bit more to this, SlickGrid Row Selection is by row index, it's not by row data. Meaning that if your data changes when you refresh or something and you keep the row selection it will not synched anymore... all that to say, just remember, it's a row index, so pay attention when you want to keep or want to reapply a row selection.
If it's just to row selection that you lose, just save it before adding a column and put back the selection after adding the column. It's simple, get the row selection (with getSelectedRows) before you change the column definitions, add your new column and then put back the selection (with setSelectedRows).
My jqgrid contains several pages. When I sort any column the page resets to first.
(That's right also for filterToolbar i.e. after calling $("#my-grid")[0].triggerToolbar();)
Is there any way to keep my current page after sorting/filtering ?
EDIT:
Actually my problem is a little more complicated.
I save jqgrid preferences(rowNum, page, filters etc..) to the cookie.
When I load the page first time I load the prefs.
I use the technique from Mark B's answer (see jqGrid Filter Toolbar initial default value) to populate my filter default values.
The problem: in that case page always sets to the first.(because of triggerToolbar calling) i.e. it doesn't save state.
I don't quite understand your requirement. If the user has seen some rows on the second page for example and then the user has clicked on the column header to sort the column the the grid will be sorted. The data which the user have seen before can be on any page. So I don't understand why you want hold the current page which will show absolutely another data as it showed before.
If you do need to hold the page you can do this in the following way. Inside of the loadComplete you can save the value of page parameter. Inside of onSortCol event handler the value will be already changed to 1, but you can correct it to the value which you saved before. I didn't tested this, but I think it should work.
UPDATED: Now I think I understand your original problem. I think you should choose another way described here or here. What you needs is just to save in the cookie the postData value and to set search:true parameter of jqGrid if the filters is not empty (or other filter parameter depend on the options which you use). In the way you should be able to restore not only the filter, but additionally the page value. The final solution can a little depend from jqGrid parameters and the parameters of filterToolbar which you use. So it you will have implementation problem you should include more code which you use.
I'm using mvc with jqgrid and this solition work for me:
$("#GridTable").jqGrid({
...
onSortCol:
function () {
var postpage = jQuery("#GridTable").getGridParam('postData');
jQuery("#GridTable").setGridParam({ page: postpage.page });
},
...
});
I have a jqgrid that has several columns including a checkbox column that indicates if an item is selected.
Underneath that I have a dropdown menu and a text box. The idea is that each item in the dropdown menu is a column in the jqgrid. Then all I need to do is modified all of the checked rows with the contents of the text box for that column. So a quick mass update mechanism if you will.
The problem is, is that I can't figure out how to update a specific cell. Any tips or documentation that can help me? Thanks!
You can use for example setRowData (see jqGrid documentation) or setCell to update the data in the grid. The functions getCol, getCell or getRowData could help you the examine the row data. Another old answers: this and this could be helpful if you decide to search data in the grid with respect of jQuery.
Here's the "answer" I came up with to my problem. I wanted to edit only rows that were editable. Using setCell would overwrite my editable field with a non-editable one. So I looked at the HTML for a given row while it is in the edit state and passed that into the 'setCell' method. It feels 'hackish' though and if someone knows a better way, I'm all ears.
I use two grids at one PHP page.
Is there any way to get data from the first grid (i.e. after click row) and pre-fill it into the add new row form in the second grid?
thank you for any suggestion Petr
I am not sure that I correct understand what you mean under the "pre-filling". But how I understand you question you can do following:
With respect of onSelectRow event which you define on the first grid you will receive the id of selected row as the parameter. Inside of the onSelectRow event handle you can call getRowData to get full information about the data of selected row. Then using addRowData for example you can add new row in the second grid.
I'm using a jqGrid, and it gets populated fine. From the UI perspective, one of the columns in the jqGrid is editable. How can I make one of the columns as editable (say like a text box)?
The reason is, in my case when the grid successfully loads, the UI is going to show one of the column's values as editable.
If you're looking to edit the column values directly in the grid, similarly to how you might in Excel, look into the inline editing API:
http://www.trirand.com/jqgridwiki/doku.php?id=wiki:inline_editing&s[]=inline
In colmodel, you have to specify editable: true.Provide edit action link in editURL:... option of jqgrid.
you have to get the "id" of that column and then remove 'disabled' attribute on that.
for example -
$('#idofthatcolumn').removeAttr('disabled');
OR
$('#idofthatcolumn').removeAttr('readonly');
In your colmodel you should specify editable as true i.e, editable:true and specify the editUrl:'localhost:8080/yourApp'
Also if you want to store it in the client side, then specify it as editUrl:'clientArray'
