Inputting tab in windows batch - windows

I'm attempting to be able to input a tab 'command' into a loaded webpage in Firefox, using tab to move between points in the page. So far anything I've tried just doesn't work or errors out.
I'm only using basic windows cmd and .bat scripting.

Forcing a launcher to be opened with Internet Explorer

Ok, I've read here and here that is not possible, on a gerneral browser, to force a link to be opened in IE.
So my question is: can I do it with a desktop launcher?
Extended question: Can I easily create a desktop launcher on Windows (10, 7 and maybe older versions) that if double clicked opens a specific URL in IE?
You can create a batch file to run the command to open IE with a specific url. You can create a .bat file and put the following code in the file:
start iexplore "http://www.bing.com"
Double click the .bat file, then it will open IE with Bing website.

Read current terminal

Is it possible to read what's currently displayed on the windows terminal pragmatically using any available API?
For example, I've got an app that tail's some log files. I'd like to be able to hit a key and open a text editor at the line that is currently being viewed. The problem is the terminal also has scroll bars.
Not easy. Perhaps you could capture the screen and use OCR to identify its contents, or make a shortcut to some sort of macro that selects all the screen and copies the text. But there is no API available to perform the task you ask.
Of course, you can tee the command you're running in the console to a file, and open such file with an editor whenever you like, however it will show the full output of the command and not the visible part. If you like more information on that topic, it is answered in SO - Displaying Windows command prompt output and redirecting it to a file

Need unix command to disable the popup window

I am very much glad if anyone help me. am fairly new to Unix scripting side. I am trying to get into one url, but before that am getting one popup window(asking for customer details). So, i need to block/disable/ auto close the popup window. Please help me with the command
In Unix environment shell command plays differently. It can launch your browser but it can not set utility inside a browser application. You need to fix it inside your browser window by using tool option. Just search in google like how to block popup in yourbrowserName.

open a text file via windows double click with ruby

I'm fairly new to Ruby, so please excuse me if my question is too basic...
I wrote a program that searches a text file for certain values.
The way it works is that when I run the program from command line it asks for the file to search through. So I drag the file over to the command window and press Enter. The program takes over and does what it's supposed to... I also created an exe file using Ocra just so I don't have to run it from command line.
It works great, but I want to take it a step further. How can I modify my program to be able to double click the text file in Windows and have my program automatically open and do it's search?

how to hide cmd from appearing at the back of your .vbs application?

I am new to building apps using simple .vbs coding, whenever I build a .exe file using visual basic script command prompt opens along with the application at the background. so how to hide the command prompt from appearing??
and also how to set a background image in a pop up or input box?
To your first question, it depends on how you are calling the vbs. Windows allow to execute tasks with hidden windows. If you can not create a hidden window and you doesn't need the console, instead of using cscript as the executable for the vbs, use wscript.
Popup and input box from vbscript are standard elements of the system. AFAIK no way of change background of them.
