Error configuring Spring Tool Suite Dependency - spring

I've created new Spring Template Project- Spring MVC project.
IDE: Spring Tool Suite 3.2.0
Using this tutorial here: http://www.codejava.net/frameworks/spring/spring-mvc-beginner-tutorial-with-spring-tool-suite-ide
I've added build path external jars, but got this error. Did few things but error still exist.

Getting NoSuchMethodError while starting tomcat

I've already looked at all the other answers that suggest updating the Maven dependencies in my pom.xml and making sure there aren't any old versions of spring-core in my lib folder, but I've already done that and I'm still getting the error. I'll provide my pom.xml, web.xml, and dispatcher-config.xml below.

The project compiles just fine, but when I try to run it on a local Tomcat server, this is the error I get:

... 8 more
Any help with this is appreciated.
Root cause: as exception mentioned, there is no accessibleConstructor() in org.springframework.util.ReflectionUtils. This method was there since Spring v5. Look into pom.xml, maybe some dependencies are using Spring version less than 5
Solution: To find such dependencies, you should run 'mvn dependency:tree' command and search for something related to 'org.springframework.util...' => most probably you'll see two versions. Then you should exclude any Spring dependencies which less than v5.

Spring Security simple in-memory login issue

i'm fairly new to Spring Security and i'm trying to implement a simple authentification system using a login form to a web application.
When running the application i get the following error :
Error creating bean with name 'org.springframework.security.web.DefaultSecurityFilterChain#0': Cannot create inner bean '(inner bean)' of type [org.springframework.security.web.context.request.async.WebAsyncManagerIntegrationFilter] while setting constructor argument with key [1]; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name '(inner bean)#2': Instantiation of bean failed; nested exception is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/springframework/web/context/request/async/CallableProcessingInterceptor
i can't see where this error stems from.
Here are the main config files.
Thanks in advance

Spring Security 3.2 requires at least Spring 3.2. Update your pom to use the following:
<org.springframework-version>3.2.13.RELEASE</org.springframework-version>
I'd also consider updating the Spring Security versions to 3.2.6.RELEASE.
Note that you can more easily manage the dependency versions if you use the bom's provided by Spring Framework and Spring Security.
<dependencyManagement>
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-framework-bom</artifactId>
<version>3.2.13.RELEASE</version>
<type>pom</type>
<scope>import</scope>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.security</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-security-bom</artifactId>
<version>3.2.6.RELEASE</version>
<type>pom</type>
<scope>import</scope>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
</dependencyManagement>
Now you can remove the versions from any Spring Security or Spring Framework dependencies.
the bottom line of your exception is
NoClassDefFoundError:
org/springframework/web/context/request/async/CallableProcessingInterceptor
and this missing class is in spring-web. Try to add spring-web to your pom...

How to build a RESTEasy project with Maven?

Context
I am trying to create a project that publishes JAX-RS web services with JBoss Developer Studio 8.0.0 GA and Wildfly 8.2.0.Final with the built-in RESTEasy 3.0.10.Final library.
The phenomenon
When I create a Dynamic Web Project with the default settings plus web.xml creation, add a package named com.example with the two classes below, add the project to the application server, the REST service works fine when I access it using a browser (URL: http://localhost:8080/RestTest/rest/resttest/test), displaying the Hello REST message as expected.
However, when I convert the project to a Maven project by right clicking the project and choosing Configure / Convert to Maven Project and using the default settings (and then removing the picketbox-related dependecies from pom.xml), the REST service does not work after publishing, and got a Not Found error message in the browser instead.
The two classes are the following:
com/example/RestApp.java
package com.example;
import javax.ws.rs.ApplicationPath;
import javax.ws.rs.core.Application;
#ApplicationPath("/rest")
public class RestApp extends Application
{ }
com/example/RestEndpoint.java
package com.example;
import javax.enterprise.context.RequestScoped;
import javax.ws.rs.GET;
import javax.ws.rs.Path;
#RequestScoped
#Path("/resttest")
public class RestEndpoint
{
#GET
#Path("/test")
public String test()
{
return "Hello REST";
}
}

Question
What goes wrong with the conversion? How can I build the project with Maven so that it works?
After several hours of work I finally found the solution: if I remove all the resteasy-related dependencies except for org.jboss.resteasy.jaxrs-api, the application will work.
No web.xml is needed at all, I deleted it.
The minimal pom.xml required for the working REST service looks like follows:
<project
xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/xsd/maven-4.0.0.xsd"

</configuration>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
</project>
I believe your web.xml is missing resteasy servlet config.. Compare it with the one it's working, see if there are any differences..
EDIT: According to http://docs.jboss.org/resteasy/docs/3.0.9.Final/userguide/html_single/index.html#d4e40 it should work without configuring the web.xml, so my answer is not correct.
By the way, your pom has many dependencies which should be scope provided (if I'm not mistaken, all of them should be provided, beacuse wildfly has them).

Another problem is that I installed JBoss 5.1 and managed to run it in netbeans separatly, but when I choose to run the project, the option: JBoss doesn't appear to me.
So here's your "fast" answer ;-)
We're 2 years older and JBoss AS 5 was obsolted by JBoss AS 7 and WildFly 8.
So I assume today's readers want to migrate to that.
There are two tools which help with migration to JBoss AS 7 / WildFly 8 / EAP 6:
1) JBoss SwanLoom - automated migration tool aimed to server configuration migration.
2) JBoss WindUp - a reporting tool aimed to application migration - deployment descriptors etc.
And finally, there's a new site dedicated to JBoss migration: http://www.jboss.org/migration/ , where you can find all the migration guides to do the migration manually.
Regarding pom.xml, you'll have to kick out all the deps which are already contained in JBoss AS. API's may stay but only as compile-time dependency (should not end up in the .war).
Depending on to which extent you want to migrate, you might also want to drop Spring entirely and replace it with services provided by JBoss AS, and connect parts of your app using CDI annotations.
Regarding JBoss AS in NetBeans, there was built-in support for AS 5 for ages, at least since 6.x, and since 7.3.1, it should also support AS 7.

Spring and Maven in SpringsourceToolSuite getting java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.springfamework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet error

I created a have am using Spring STS with Dali JPA tools installed. I created a JPA project and converted it to a Maven project. I am attempting to add SpringMVC capability.
Here is my web.xml :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<web-app xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee"
xmlns:web="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_2_5.xsd" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_3_0.xsd" id="WebApp_ID" version="3.0">
<display-name>dcspitter</display-name>
<servlet>
<servlet-name>dcspitter</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>org.springfamework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet</servlet-class>
<load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>dcspitter</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
</web-app>
Here's my pom.xml. It's basically copied from a Spring MVC template project with hibernate-core added.

This is the error I'm getting deploying within vmWare Fabric server in STS.

I see the jar in WEB-INF/lib if I export as a WAR. I have Maven Dependencies included in Deployment Assembly and Java Build Path.
Any ideas why I am getting this error?
Thanks all.
