I have one very big problem.
I have installed Magento 2 Community Edition.
I am trying to install Magento Extension from Using magento-connect, but there is one problem.
When I login to Magento Admin, and go to Tools I really do not see anything where I can paste my magento-connect URL.
Can someone help me please?
I have installed Magento 2 with Sample data.
Best regards,
Magento-2.0 does not support magento connect.
Because of syntax mismatch in magento-1.x and magento-2.x, this extenison https://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/catalog/product/view/id/14604/s/dixeno-findologic-6870/ will not work in magento 2.0
Hope you understood well.

I´m having problems understanding how to install a new theme in my magento 2.2 and i was hopping someone could help me understand what it is, what i did was:
I installed magento 2.2 from here. and then choose "Full release with sample data" community edition 2.2.0. The installation went well and i can access to my admin panel adn everything else.
Next i found this template and downloaded the package Bizkick v1.0.3, unzipped it and then i have two directories, which are "app" and "pub". After this i dragged these to my magento root, overwrite the ones that were there and now, i CANNOT access anything, not my initial page nor my admin, i have tried with other themes and the same thing keeps happening. I also have disabled my cache in the admin like the instructions said and them perform the above but with no luck.
Can anyone enligh me?
Regards.
I just download and installed Magento community edition version 1.9.2.4. Do I need to install old patches, including 7405? And have any patches for Magento community edition 1.9.2.4 been released yet? I see a notification that shows "You have 13 critical updates". What should I do now?
you can scan your site here & it will give what and all security measures you need to take....
Ignore notifications related to patch, this version already have all patches inside. You just have to scan on magereport.com when your shop url is available online.
Magento 1.9.2.4 included all security patches you do not need to install any patch, just ignore notification and check your online store url from here
I want to upgrade my magento v1.8 to magento v1.9.I put backup of my files and database. then install a new magento v1.9 and replaced my 1.8 data to 1.9 as well as database tables also. But it is showing error and site is not at all opening and database tables are also not upgrading as well.
I am facing a lot of problems to upgrade magento 1.8 to 1.9. I checked all stuffs but didn't find any clue for upgrading 1.8 to 1.9.
If anyone knows this, please help me out.
Thanks!
I had a similar problem on running from a backup.. Did you drop all data from the tables before you run the restore?... If not it can cause a similar problem ?
There might also be database structure differences?.. between the 2 versions.. That would be extra mean by Magento tho.
I want to write an extension that is compatible with Magento Go ...
There is anything in particular to know about Magento Go on the dev side ?
Your module should be reviewed by Magento team. See more here - Trusted Magento Extension.
i have magento 1.6.2 running on a dedicated server (ubuntu 10.04 lts)
I have tried various ways to upgrade magento to 1.7.0.2, but with no success.
Now i am thinking of installing a fresh magento 1.7.0.2 and rebuilding the shop.
This way i don't have the litter anymore of old deleted extensions.
But i want all my current data like products, orders, customers, mailinglist etc. imported in my new fresh installation.
How can i do this? Or isn't this a good idea?
I hope someone can help me ...
Try the Magento database repair tool:
http://www.magentocommerce.com/wiki/1_-_installation_and_configuration/db-repair-tool
I would install over what you have got after removing tables/keys that don't need to be there. The above tool will enable you to identify what is to be deleted. It will also give you confidence in your db build.
Not upgrading to latest version rather having a free install is doesn't seem to be a good idea because you can import all the products & Customers but there is no direct way to import the orders and other information on the fresh Installation.
I would personally suggest that you should once more try to upgrade to the latest version as I have upgraded several projects from Magento ver 1.6.2 to the latest and no such big issue occurred while upgrading.
Basic things you just need to keep in mind like keeping the back-up before upgrade and all..
Use the latest connect20 key for the upgrade i.e.
http://connect20.magentocommerce.com/community/Mage_All_Latest
Hope this helps or you can tell the errors that you are facing during the upgrade.
I have found it ...
A new installation will work in the following way ...
copy your db-base
copy your media folder to a new folder
than copy the fresh files downloaded from magento OS commerce to the server
install magento and fill in your db base credentials from point 1 ...
now you have a fresh installation, but with all your data (orders, customers, products, newsletters etc.)
